The instability of ginseng lasted only a day. The next morning, the market erupted again.

Within half an hour after the opening bell, 20-root ginseng hit the daily limit up. At the trading center, prices for 20-root ginseng had soared past seventy yuan per catty while 30-root varieties were nearly reaching that level.

The price surge brought pure joy to Su Zhantao. They held over ten million in long positions bought at around twenty-five yuan each. With triple-digit gains, those contracts were now worth thirty-something million.

Thirty-something million - a figure Su had never dared imagine before.

After returning excitedly with the report, Zhang Yang added new figures to the wall chart without even asking about market fluctuations. He only tracked daily closing prices through his meticulous records.

"Zhang Yang, isn't it time to liquidate?"

Su Zhantao dragged over a chair and plopped himself down in front of Zhang Yang's desk, shouting the question with visible excitement.

Liquidation was critical - without selling those long positions remained theoretical gains. Only when converted into cash did they become tangible wealth. Holding onto them meant constant risks; if ginseng prices crashed again, their entire fortune could vanish overnight. A continuous string of limit-down days might even trap them in a position where sell orders couldn't be executed at all.

Zhang Yang shook his head. "Wait a few more days." The current price still hadn't reached its peak. Letting such an opportunity slip felt unbearable.

"By the way, my second uncle will arrive tomorrow - I've already booked rooms for him."

Su Zhantao nodded while mentioning another matter. Su Shaohua's asthma treatment required visits to Changjing, but Zhang had been too busy to make the trip himself this time.

"That works," Zhang Yang muttered without lifting his head from the chart. "Sorry he'll have to travel all that way."

"Nonsense! You focus on your work - I'll call him now!" Su Zhantao immediately stood up and rushed back to his room to inform his uncle.

Su Shaohua's primary purpose for traveling to Jiaoyi was indeed Zhang's medical expertise. After several successful treatments, his confidence in a full recovery had grown significantly. But this trip also aimed to personally check on his nephew Su Zhantao who'd been unusually excited lately and claimed imminent business success through ginseng futures.

Su Shaohua knew well the dual nature of futures trading - it could create overnight millionaires or ruin them completely. Since he wasn't fully informed about the situation, this visit would at least provide some reassurance.

The day passed quietly with no dramatic events in the market. Yesterday's price volatility gave way to today's continued climb, causing both regret and relief among traders. Many were still buying aggressively, believing the big players hadn't finished their push upwards yet.

The next afternoon Zhang Yang was dragged from his hotel by Su Zhantao instead of staying behind for rest. Jiaoyi had no airport so Su Shaohua drove in himself. They waited at the highway entrance where Su Zhantao's Santana contrasted sharply with two luxury SUVs arriving around 4:30pm.

"Uncle!"

Su Zhantao didn't notice the cars, rushing forward as soon as his uncle stepped out. Zhang Yang took a step toward them but stopped mid-motion when he realized another passenger had emerged - Mi Xue in her white dress.

The sight completely startled him. Neither she nor Su Zhantao had mentioned this arrangement before - it was an unexpected yet heartwarming surprise for Zhang.

"Zhang Yang!"

Mi Xue rushed forward with open arms as if preparing to embrace him. Zhang quickly closed the distance between them, but they ended up just standing face-to-face at arm's length.

Watching their awkward standoff without any dramatic reunions made Su Zhantao sigh in disappointment before suddenly grinning - the clichéd romantic moment finally unfolded when Zhang impulsively pulled Mi Xue into his arms.

"Ha! I knew he wouldn't hold back!"

Su Zhantao's earlier disappointment vanished instantly. This whole scene was his idea to give Zhang a surprise. He'd noticed how often Zhang and Mi talked daily during their stay, and decided it was time for the two to meet in person.

"Waah!"

A new voice called out from the car - Su Wei, Su Shaohua's youngest daughter aged around twenty. Standing at 160cm with waist-length black hair, she looked directly at the couple and shook her head disapprovingly. "So this is that guy Mi Xue keeps talking about? Seems rather ordinary."

Her comment drew an immediate reprimand from Su Zhantao who knew his niece's mischievous nature too well.

"Su Wei!"

Zhang Yang finally broke away from the five-minute embrace to ask, "Why are you here?"

"I came with Uncle Su. Actually I wanted to come myself," she replied with lowered eyes and blushing cheeks.

The simple admission made Zhang feel both happy and guilty - he shouldn't have been away for so long. As this thought struck him, he suddenly did something that shocked both Su Zhantao and Su Wei...
