The entire sky instantly darkened, the azure dome turning pitch black, the clouds churning and the wind howling as if the end of the world had arrived. The whole earth grew dim, as if night had fallen, making it impossible to see one's hand before one's face. The entire mountain became a scene of uproar, and all the miners and overseers looked up to the sky in astonishment.
Everyone soaring through the air halted, raising their heads to gaze upward in surprise.
Through the dark curtain of clouds, a golden light slowly pierced the heavens, seemingly the only illumination between heaven and earth. It bathed the stern young man and the others suspended in mid-air, carrying an immense, warm aura that captivated those upon whom it fell, making it impossible to look away.
Within this golden radiance, a figure slowly emerged. It was majestic and imposing, yet its form was ethereal within the light—seeming real yet not quite solid, like a deity inspiring awe that forbade direct scrutiny.
"Release them!" A detached voice echoed from the figure, resounding over the entire mountaintop.
The members of the Special Guard watched in stunned silence, uncertain how to proceed.
"Your Clan Head has commanded that all those belonging to the Spiritual Civilization be gathered here; I will be taking them away," the figure stated, one hand resting behind its back, its tone indifferent.
The Special Guard exchanged glances, and their captain quickly suppressed the horror rising in his heart, replying respectfully, "Yes, sir!"
Facing such an overwhelming aura, he felt a deep tremor, like an ant encountering a divine dragon—a comparison that made any thought of rivalry impossible, especially when the ant was utterly base and subservient!
Given the opponent's evident power, there was no need for deception. Thus, without a second thought, the captain immediately turned toward the stern young man and the others, shouting, "Hurry back! This esteemed Lord requires you; bring everyone with you."
The stern young man and his companions frowned. The white-robed man's eyes flickered as he looked up at the sky, undaunted, furrowing his brow, "What business does the Spiritual Civilization hold for you?"
The figure glanced at them dismissively. "Lord Heavenly Shaman Emissary wishes to meet you. The City Lord himself gave the order. As for the reason, you will know once you have met him. Rest assured, your lives are not forfeit; otherwise, one breath from me would send you all flying into oblivion!"
"Hmph!" The stern young man scoffed internally, though he revealed nothing on his surface.
The white-robed man nodded slightly, cupping his hands in a gesture of respect. "Thank you." He then gestured broadly, "Let's go and gather everyone."
"Do we really have to go?" the delicate youth asked hurriedly.
"He's right. We don't know who this Heavenly Shaman Emissary is, but even the City Lord listens to him, so he must be an extraordinary existence! For someone of that stature to want us all dead, it would be too easy; they wouldn't resort to this charade! Great figures disdain wasting effort on mere ants."
"I have a feeling this might be good news!"
"I feel it too."
"I have a premonition that the Heavenly Shaman Emissary is a beauty..."
"You're looking for a firing squad!"
"Too much waste of ammunition..."
"Then let me beat you senseless; I don't mind the pain from the sting."
The group exchanged bantering words as they turned and left, arriving before their wooden dwellings. The white-robed man spread his hand, and a powerful golden light surged from within him. Looking down at the crowd, he announced loudly, "Everyone assemble!"
"There is a matter of great importance. Everyone, regardless of your current situation, you must come to this spot. We are relocating to a distant place—everyone get into the ruins!"
"Those who hear this, please spread the word. Anyone who belongs to us, come here, whether you are working or not. Say it was commanded by the Divine Lord!"
As the message spread, the entire mine erupted into commotion and excitement.
Relocation!
It was finally happening!
How many years had it been? Since arriving on the Ancient Continent, they had been reduced to slaves and servants of the Bluebird Family. Here in Skyboat City, the living expenses alone were exorbitant, let alone food and drink!
If they hadn't sold their bodies to the slave traders to gain a master and find work, they wouldn't even have had food to survive.
Yet...
Throughout these years, although they struggled and barely survived, the existence they led was one of utter misery—toiling day after day with no visible hope for the future. They often felt their entire lives would be swallowed by this mine until death finally claimed them, turning them into rotting corpses to be discarded in the scrap yards.
Such days were worse than death!
But they lacked the courage to end their own lives. All they could do was endure the agonizing routine under the constant sting of fine leather whips. Even if they fell, the whipping wouldn't stop; rather, it would intensify. Thus, they could only force themselves back onto their feet.
Because standing meant having the strength to work, preventing the ice-cold whips from falling and scarring both their bodies and souls.
Now, hearing the white-robed man's words, everyone seemed unable to trust their own ears. They were actually moving? Could it be the return of the Great God Kaba? He said a Divine Lord was guiding them—was a god truly going to bless them?
To bless these long-suffering people? Regardless of the specifics, everyone knew they could finally put down the heavy hoes in their hands and leave this mine, which held only painful memories, for an unknown destination.
Perhaps that place would be more brilliant; perhaps it would be more terrifying.
But how could they know without going?
So, everyone gathered, including the sick who were supported by others. Over a dozen black voids appeared across the mine—these were massive ruins capable of carrying people.
Back when Ye Chen looted the seven or eight civilizations around Thunder Plaza, he had seized countless Boundary Stones. A single Boundary Stone couldn't support the activation of these colossal ruins, but collected together, countless stones could jointly power this world's passage.
Everyone shouldered their meager belongings and brought their children, gradually entering the ruins and leaving the area. Some informational texts were shared, and those women among them with the right looks, who had been sold to the Bluebird Family as maids, were also summoned. The news spread from one to ten, and ten to a hundred. Though these individuals had duties, upon hearing it was the Divine Lord's command, they dropped everything. Any Bluebird Family members who tried to curse or scold them could only silence themselves when they heard it was the call of a Divine expert, especially since the family itself had issued orders allowing the Spiritual Civilization members to depart.
There were also women of superior beauty who had been taken as concubines or kept by the scions of the Bluebird Family, living lives of comfort and luxury. Upon hearing the summons, some chose to abandon their current wealth and comfort to leave alone; others hesitated for a moment but ultimately chose to stay.
A person's fate and life often diverge based on a single decision.
However, in this vast mountain, everyone made too many different choices, so while their destinies might resemble one another, none would be exactly the same.
"Alas, after enduring for four years, I never expected we could actually migrate. I wonder if Kaba will be able to find us when he returns?" The white-robed man watched the crowds slowly converging around him, his heart filled with emotion.
One always feels a pang of sadness for what is about to be lost, even if that thing caused them pain.
Two days later, all personnel had gathered and entered the ruins. As the entrance closed, the stern young man and the others went inside. Only the white-robed man, clutching the token that connected to the ruins' spatial coordinates, soared into the sky. He approached the mysterious golden figure waiting patiently before him and bowed deeply: "I pay my respects to the Divine Lord!"
"No need for ceremony. Follow me!" The figure waved its sleeve, and an invisible divine power enveloped the white-robed man. With a flash, the figure vanished from that domain.
In the villa, within the living room.
Ye Chen wore a headset, using the waiting period to hone his combat skills. He chose to enter the Virtual War God Tower, which had 30 levels; ordinary initial-stage Pseudo-God realm experts typically managed to clear only up to the "Ninth Level."
Currently, in a dark and dead silent space:
"Incinerate, Blood God Mode!"
"Nine Palaces!"
"Explode!"
Ye Chen's one hundred thousand years of lifespan instantly burned away. It surged from his bone marrow genes, seeped out through his pores, and transformed into surging power. His brain instantly flushed with blood, as if it were boiling, and he roared like a wild beast. His eyes turned blood-red, like a violent savage creature.
An earth-shattering aura erupted from him, filling the space. The pressure was massive and rapidly increased, causing the earth around him to tremble. A magnificent palace instantly rose from the ground, and from within it emerged a three-headed, black-forked dragon-headed monster, which lunged violently toward the figure resembling an angel.
Boom! The Three-Headed Nine Palaces Guardian exploded, sending tremendous shockwaves everywhere. The entire dark world shook violently, and the figure was engulfed in the blast wave, incinerated entirely.
"War God Tower, Twentieth Level, clear!"
Ye Chen let out a soft breath, feeling sweat pouring down him and blood seeping from his pores. He stretched his limbs and immediately chose to exit the virtual world.
Hoo! Ye Chen shook his hair, feeling the blood coursing through his body was still boiling. That kind of fight was too exhilarating. In there, all equipment was nullified; only one's own battle techniques held true merit!
Relying purely on his own prowess, at the peak Half-God cultivation, he had annihilated a peak Pseudo-God!
Ye Chen couldn't help but marvel inwardly. The gap between a Half-God and a Pseudo-God was as vast as a chasm, seemingly impossible to cross, yet now he had somehow surpassed it.
However, the challenge on the twenty-first level of the War God Tower pitted him against a God-level entity—one who controlled laws and could decree his demise with a single word!
"Using the second stage of the Heavenly Dao Scripture, a 100-fold amplification! On top of this 100-fold base, applying the Blood God Mode, burning 100,000 years of life for one second of attack time, resulting in a 1000-fold power increase!"
"Thus, it becomes 100 times multiplied by 1000 times, equal to 100,000 times my own strength! Then applying the 30-fold boost from the Nine Palaces Secret Art results in 3 million times my own strength, which was required to annihilate the peak Pseudo-God expert!"
"The magnitude of that leap is truly terrifying!"
Ye Chen himself was shocked.
Just then, the room door opened, footsteps approached from outside, and the City Lord of Skyboat City walked in. Behind him followed a white-robed man, who looked around warily, his expression extremely unnatural, showing visible shock at everything around him.
"Emissary, I have brought the person you requested," the City Lord said with a smile as he saw Ye Chen rise.
Ye Chen’s gaze locked onto the white-robed man instantly, unable to look away. After a moment, he spoke in a low, husky voice: "Xu Tianguo!"
