More Death Knights emerged from the black mist, and this time, they were accompanied by a terrifyingly vast number of Skeleton Soldiers. Summoning Skeletons was the traditional technique of the Necromancers belonging to the Pantheon of Death within the Alliance of Gods. Essentially, whenever the Pantheon of Death clashed with others, an abundance of Skeletons would inevitably appear. Gu Xichen glanced around; the Skeleton Soldiers charging out of the black mist, wielding rusted long pikes and swords, numbered at least five thousand. The dense throng of Skeletons and Death Knights had already choked more than half the valley.

The Hidden Boundary Masters within the Asian Daoist League contingent could finally no longer hold back. A petite Daoist nun, who had been standing just behind the Young Daoist Zhang without fail, let out a sharp cry. From the azure scabbard strapped to her back, a four-foot-long bronze sword inlaid with tortoise shell unsheathed itself and flew out. A faint, swirling azure mist expanded from the center of the Daoist nun's brow, and swords identical to the tortoise-shell bronze sword began erupting from the mist, all circling the initial long sword, rapidly forming an astonishingly formidable grand array.

Tai Chi, Liang Yi, Four Symbols, Eight Trigrams… More and more bronze swords burst forth from the azure mist. By the time three hundred and sixty swords were spiraling in the sky, the Young Daoist nun had used them to construct an immensely powerful Acquired Heaven and Earth Grand Array. The three hundred and sixty swords occasionally transformed into the likeness of a long dragon, then into the shape of a fierce tiger. The dual forms of dragon and tiger shifted unpredictably, and a chilling sword aura swept out in all directions like a deluge. Whether intentionally or not, streaks of sword energy cleaved through over a dozen of Andre’s Silver Puppets, shattering large groups of Skeletons and Death Knights into dust.

Coincidentally, three arcs of azure sword energy whistled down, aimed squarely at Gu Xichen’s head. Gu Xichen cursed the eternally unmarried old Daoist nun under his breath and awkwardly dodged backward. A figure flashed beside him—Andre, his anger surging from seeing his subordinates attacked, had rushed to Gu Xichen’s side, raising a Holy Light Shield that ascended to block the three arcs of sword energy.

The sword energy shattered, and Andre’s face paled slightly. The sword formation woven by the Young Daoist nun possessed immense power; the force of those three sword strikes was actually several times stronger than the lightning power emitted by the pure silver puppets Andre had summoned.

“The Asian Daoist League truly has endless mysteries,” Gu Xichen murmured in praise, secretly inching a few steps closer to Andre.

The Young Daoist Zhang shouted, “Junior Sister, truly marvelous skills! Watch as Senior Brother comes to aid you!”

With a flourish, the Young Daoist Zhang released three hundred and sixty yellow talismans. Each yellow talisman drew down a pillar of blue lightning as thick as a water bucket, striking precisely onto the three hundred and sixty bronze swords. The long swords absorbed the lightning cleanly. For a moment, the three hundred and sixty bronze swords, rapidly piercing the sky, faintly glowed with lightning, leaving trails of azure electrical flames tens of feet long as they flew, their momentum growing several times greater than before. Gradually, these bronze swords coalesced into an azure-blue vortex hundreds of meters in diameter in the air.

With incessant ‘hissing’ sounds, the firearms held by the over two thousand Spirit Race soldiers in the distance flew out of their hands as if drawn by powerful magnets. The three hundred and sixty bronze swords spun rapidly in the air; the electrical energy within them mutually attracted each other, acting like a gigantic electromagnet emitting an intensely strong magnetic field. As soon as the two thousand plus firearms were sucked in, a soft thunderous sound was heard: all the metal components on the weapons melted into liquid metal and dripped down.

It wasn't just firearms; even the armed robots hovering above the valley were affected. Those closer were pulled up by the powerful magnetic force. The robots, thrashing their limbs haphazardly, flew into the azure-blue vortex. Thunder rumbled ceaselessly, and dazzling flashes of fire erupted from the vortex; these robots followed the firearms’ fate, melting and bursting apart.

Gu Xichen, with sharp eyes, noticed that after being destroyed, the robots still transformed into streams of white light. However, this time, these light streams did not return to Ducat Holsum’s body but were forcibly absorbed by the sword formation. The energy contained within several hundred robots was considerable, and fueled by this energy, the sword formation’s momentum grew even stronger.

“Impressive, truly impressive!”

Gu Xichen continued to marvel at the sword formation's power. Seeing how miraculous a force could be generated when the boundary and Daoist arts were combined opened his eyes wide.

A figure in black robes, a priest of the Holy See, harshly slapped Gu Xichen’s shoulder. The priest angrily exclaimed, “My brother, why do you not unleash the power granted to you by the Lord to strike these sinners?”

“Uh? Oh!” Gu Xichen feigned realization, raising both his hands like the Holy See clergy beside him. Then, he dropped his arms and knocked the black-robed priest unconscious with an elbow strike. “The power granted by the Lord? Heaven knows what power that is; how am I supposed to activate it?” His foot slid, and Gu Xichen instantly closed the distance to Andre, extending his right hand to snatch at the top-grade Zakula Crystal held in Andre’s grasp.

Andre was shouting loudly, “Everyone, let us join forces and drive these Romans out first!”

Pobibisha’s hoarse and unpleasant voice rang out from the black mist, “That is best; these Romans are indeed too presumptuous. Little priest, if your sword energy dares to fly recklessly again, don't blame me for dealing with you all as well.” As Pobibisha called out, nearly a hundred small demons, about a foot tall with tiny bat wings on their backs, flew out of the black mist wielding tiny steel pitchforks. The little demons shrieked, forming an evil, soaring six-pointed star array in the air. In unison, they used their small pitchforks to draw evil runes before them. The hexagram array gradually began to shimmer with a thick, unsettling blood-red light, and an evil aura, visible as black smoke, rushed out from the center of the array, spreading rapidly in all directions.

In an instant, the Death Knights and Skeleton Soldiers enveloped by the black smoke underwent drastic physical changes. A blinding blood-red light shot from the eyes of the Death Knights, and the loose bones of the Skeleton Soldiers became dense and solid. Waves of black light, flowing like water, surged within the bones of the Skeleton Soldiers. As a muffled bronze bell sound echoed from the black mist, all the Death Knights and Skeleton Soldiers charged toward the Spirit Race positions as if injected with adrenaline.

Nearly a hundred heavy war chariots opened fire, unleashing piercing shrieks as high-energy particle beams roared out. The Death Knights and Skeleton Soldiers moved as nimbly as winged rats, lightly evading streams of high-energy particle beams. Huge craters were blasted into the ground, and the dense mass of the undead soon rushed up to the front of the Roman bio-beasts.

Gu Xichen’s right hand was less than a foot away from Andre’s crystal, but Andre suddenly sneered, “They have revealed their trump cards; we shouldn't hold back either!”

Gu Xichen startled, his hand pausing slightly, just in time to see the two cardinals who had been closely following Andre raise their hands simultaneously and devoutly chant the holy name of God.

The three full moons in the sky dimmed, and streams of white holy light continuously poured down from the heavens, enveloping the bodies of the two cardinals like boiling water. A thumb-sized rhombic crystal, just like Andre’s, gradually emerged from the center of their brows. The crosses on their chests erupted with dazzling silver flames. The two cardinals grasped their crosses, and two cross-swords, identical to the one in Andre’s hand, slowly unfolded within the silver flames. The silver flames emanating from the three individuals merged into one, and silver light continuously flashed around them.

Within the silver light, sets of heavy, exquisite silver armor slowly flew out, along with enormous white wings.

Silver Puppets moved toward the departing armor and wings; the armor automatically disassembled and clad the Silver Puppets, and the wings adhered tightly to their backs. Soon, one thousand incredibly imposing metal angels appeared before everyone. The wings on their backs gently fluttered, and the one thousand Silver Puppets simultaneously ascended into the sky. They reached out to the silver light rising from Andre and the two cardinals, and silver spears several meters long materialized within the silver light, flying with lightning speed into the puppets’ hands.

Andre let out a triumphant roar, “Magnificent Divine Skill, Trinity, Holy Spirit Descends! Roman sinners, this is the punishment bestowed upon you by the Lord!”

The one thousand silver spears stabbed into the surrounding empty space, and countless bolts of white lightning shot out in all directions with earth-shattering roars, causing armed robots to explode one after another.

The white Zakula Crystal in Andre’s hand emitted a blinding glare, and terrifying heat waves churned around them. Gu Xichen, standing right next to Andre, felt the crystal was like a small sun; the surrounding temperature rose sharply, and gradually, Gu Xichen felt as if he were a frog boiling in hot water—his breathing became difficult.

Immense energy continuously poured from this white Zakula Crystal into Andre’s body. The silver light erupting from the Trinity Andre and the two cardinals grew increasingly powerful, and the white lightning emanating from the Silver Puppets hovering dozens of meters above the ground became stronger and stronger. The armed robots summoned by Ducat Holsum were being beaten back in disarray; every instant saw thousands of robots shattered, while simultaneously, thousands more constantly re-emerged.

The sword formation controlled by the Young Daoist nun soared upward with a muffled roar of thunder. The three hundred and sixty bronze swords shot straight up to nearly a thousand meters high. The azure-blue vortex suddenly dissolved, and the three hundred and sixty flying swords, trailing tens of feet of electrical light, slashed down toward the ground. The flying swords hacked indiscriminately through the dense forest near the valley; every sword strike landed like a massive bomb exploding in the woods, and slender, fragile bodies flew into the air amidst the firelight, only to be torn to pieces by the violent shockwaves.

The Spirit Race warriors ambushing in the woods lost their formation; their unified mental power became fragmented, and the black vines wreaking havoc in the valley gradually wilted and retreated to the ground.

The Death Knights and Skeleton Soldiers of the Alliance of Gods had completely annihilated the bio-beast army, and the undead forces were now pressing toward the Spirit Race soldiers’ position.
