More than 600 members of the Bru civilization watched from a distance as the Master of Purple Cloud Island collected all the weapons and armor from the slain hunters, yet not a single voice rose to stop him.
"Elder Scarlet Moon and Elder Jinzun are both dead!"
"Two major demigod powerhouses, and they didn't even have a chance to self-detonate!"
"The opponent must be a Pseudo-God realm expert!!"
Everyone exchanged glances, their eyes filled with terror. For a newly ascended civilization to possess a Pseudo-God powerhouse was simply too terrifying; who would dare challenge them under the shadow of such power?
This scene, observed by other civilizations watching through their detection instruments from afar, drew gasps of awe, immediately extinguishing any thoughts of robbery.
The entire Thunder Plaza was teeming with countless civilizations, and the four most powerful civilizations were all anchored by Pseudo-God powerhouses, thus earning the right to rule supreme!
Reaching the demigod realm generally granted one the qualification to reside in Azure Water City and become one of its residents.
Pseudo-God powerhouses, even more so, could venture to some secluded islands to settle down, establish their sects, and gather numerous disciples. However, bringing a large contingent made this difficult, which is why some individuals, upon reaching a certain level, would break away from their civilizational groups to forge their own path in the wider world.
Compared to the vastness of the Ancient World, Thunder Plaza was merely a small reception ground.
"A demigod powerhouse has been killed!"
"The Bru civilization is in deep trouble now."
"They tried to steal a chicken but ended up losing the rice!"
"This Spiritual Civilization is formidable; it will surely become a major overlord here soon!"
"Hahahaha…"
Some who had been contemplating robbery were shocked by the strength of the Spiritual Civilization and simultaneously felt a secret schadenfreude, mocking the Bru civilization.
In the four cardinal directions—East, South, West, and North—were exceptionally spacious territories where countless sheer, towering palaces and massive architectural structures stood erected.
Inside the tallest edifice in the East.
"What?" A twelve-zhang dinosaur, covered entirely in scales, with sharp claws and menacing fangs, reclined on an ancient bronze chaise lounge, looking down at a small raptor below. "That Spiritual Civilization has a Pseudo-God powerhouse presiding over them?"
"Yes, King!" the small raptor nodded respectfully.
"Tsk, tsk…" The Tyrannosaurus Rex, robustly built with taut, full musculature, slowly raised its pale golden eyelids. A glint flashed through its pitch-black eyes. "It’s quite similar to our Dinosaur Civilization. Upon ascending to the Ancient World, they immediately overpowered all rivals. Hahahaha…" His hearty laughter echoed through the hall.
In a palace located in the West.
"Oh? The Spiritual Civilization?" A figure entirely shrouded in black robes spoke with a degree of arrogant disdain. "A Pseudo-God powerhouse? Whether it's true or not, if that person truly managed to kill two demigods, their divine body must be exceptionally powerful!"
"Indeed!"
In the headquarters of the other major powers, similar meetings were convened.
"Do not provoke this Spiritual Civilization!"
"Although we also have Pseudo-God powerhouses, if that opponent is pushed too far and rushes to our main headquarters to self-detonate, we stand to lose a significant number of people. If others take advantage of the chaos at that moment, the loss will outweigh any gain."
"Understood."
"Everyone, keep your distance from this civilization."
"It seems a very interesting new power has arrived. Hmm, back when the Dinosaur Civilization ascended sixty million years ago, a large contingent of powers tried to oppress them, but in the end, they were all slaughtered. That civilization arrived with ten Dragon Emperor-level Pseudo-God powerhouses right at the start!"
"Fortunately, the majority of that civilization's strong members were eventually ushered away by the Ancient Dinosaur Civilization within the continental landmass; otherwise, Thunder Plaza would have been unified long ago."
"For every Pseudo-God powerhouse born within a clan, provided that individual is willing to apply for protection for their kin group, that group is permitted to remain in Thunder Plaza for an additional one million years! The cost is that the Pseudo-God powerhouse must depart!"
"Across countless ages, the Dinosaur Civilization has given birth to far too many Pseudo-God powerhouses..."
Everyone secretly compared the Spiritual Civilization with the Dinosaur Civilization, feeling that although the former was clearly inferior, it was already terrifyingly strong. Some newly ascended civilizational groups barely managed to produce one Ghost-God powerhouse, which in this world where Ghost-Gods were as common as dirt, meant they were utterly at the mercy of others.
That was truly tragic.
At the headquarters of the Bru Civilization.
Inside a building of extremely bizarre, bread-like architecture, in a luxurious and spacious main hall, over a hundred figures were gathered. Faint divine power fluctuations emanated from each figure, varying in intensity, with the strongest auras belonging to the ten figures leading the assembly!
These ten were all powerfully built, with icy cold eyes. Compared to the ugliness typical of ordinary Bru people, they appeared far more dashing, with meticulous attention paid to their attire and grooming.
"Chieftain, what should be done about this matter?"
"We absolutely cannot let this go!"
"Damn it! That was too ruthless. Jinzun and Scarlet Moon were killed just like that!"
Discussing this incident, every eye blazed with fury. In this resource-barren world, cultivating two demigod powerhouses was painstakingly difficult; usually, one would only perish after hundreds of years. But today, two were lost in one stroke—how could they not feel the pain?
"Hmph!" A man in full fiery red armor, standing tall and majestic on the upper left, spoke with icy eyes. "This Spiritual Civilization cannot be left alone! The feud is set. If we allow them to grow, we must extinguish them in the cradle!"
"Yes!"
"Such an arrogant, fledgling civilization dares to be so presumptuous!"
"So what if they have one Pseudo-God powerhouse? If we all attack together, are we afraid we can't kill them?"
"I assessed the situation. Besides that Pseudo-God, the other two peak Ghost-God powerhouses are the most troublesome, but any elder we dispatch can handle them!"
"No matter how strong a Ghost-God realm cultivator is, they are ultimately ants. No matter how high they jump, they can still be crushed in the palm of a demigod's hand!"
The leading figure, clad in azure wolf-head armor, spoke in a low voice. "We will refrain from action for the time being. We will wait until the Chieftain finishes his seclusion. The Chieftain recently received a reward from the Scarlet Extinction Gate—a Nine Treasures Pill from the Fire Civilization. Once he refines it, he can break through and become a Pseudo-God realm powerhouse!"
"By then, we will have the capital to contend, and our own losses will be somewhat reduced."
"Excellent!"
"Indeed!"
"When the time comes, the Chieftain can restrain that Pseudo-God, giving us one minute to slaughter the entire Spiritual Civilization!"
"My battle saber is already thirsty, hee hee..."
Cruel sneers curled the lips of everyone present. Having survived in this dark world, treading over blood and corpses their entire lives, their natures had long been steeped in savagery.
"How much longer until the Chieftain finishes..."
"It shouldn't be long, perhaps around ten years!"
"So short?"
"For a cultivator of the divine path, ten years is merely the blink of an eye!"
A wave of relief washed over them, and the meeting concluded, with everyone dispersing. For a demigod powerhouse, sleeping might account for ten years, so they didn't consider it long—it was equivalent to ten days in the perception of an ordinary person.
In the Main Hall of the Spiritual Civilization.
As Ye Chen returned, a meeting was convened, gathering the representatives of the 108 base cities of the Spiritual Civilization for a session of the highest authority!
The presidents of all base cities attended in person. Some looked awkward, others deeply worried, their expressions varied.
The spacious hall was brightly lit, filled with fine wine and flowers.
Ye Chen stood at the head seat, his eyes cold, surveying the figures seated around the elliptical table. He spoke with chilling severity, "Gentlemen, we are all in the same boat now. I do not wish to see incidents like this happen again! Furthermore, what Xu Tianguo says is equivalent to my word. If anyone dares to defy it, I won't hesitate to make them disappear!"
Hearing Ye Chen's icy words, everyone’s expression shifted slightly.
Though his statement lacked context, no one dared to retort. After a pause, the President of the Vietnam base city slowly stood up, a hint of embarrassment on his face, and bowed his head. "I voluntarily accept responsibility for this matter. The next time a powerful enemy attacks, I vow to step forward!"
"I was also at fault!" The beautiful woman, a first-order Ghost-God, rose and bowed her head.
"Me too." "Me too."
All of them rose simultaneously, bowing low and deferentially before Ye Chen.
Xu Tianguo, standing beside Ye Chen, was momentarily stunned before giving a wry smile. He hadn't expected these powerful figures, who had previously ignored his words, to be so utterly respectful now.
But then again, it was understandable. Anyone who witnessed Ye Chen slaughtering Ghost-God powerhouses as easily as dogs would be chilled to the bone. The most terrifying aspect was that everyone knew Ye Chen commanded a super-strong entity capable of effortlessly dispatching demigods!
With such power, Ye Chen needed none of their support and could venture out alone.
Even the usually proud President of Vietnam, the beautiful woman, and the members of the Heaven God Alliance lowered their heads, their prior defiance completely extinguished.
Ye Chen's expression remained indifferent. He said no more, simply waving his hand to delegate the remaining matters to Xu Tianguo before walking away directly.
His words were light, but his authority was immense!
Leaving the meeting hall, Ye Chen sought out Kaba and asked directly, "What is your current power level?"
Kaba stretched, clutching his head, and glanced lazily at Ye Chen, chuckling. "What, afraid that after killing some of their people, the entire clan will swarm here looking for trouble? Relax, I've sensed it. There are only a few Pseudo-God level auras in this plaza; they’re nothing to worry about. If I can't win, I can always run!"
"Besides,"
"These Pseudo-God powerhouses could easily leave and explore far vaster worlds. Why are they content to squat in this backwater place?"
"It's all for the sake of their clan!"
Kaba’s smile held a hidden meaning. "If you push me too far, and I rush into their main base to self-detonate, do you know how terrifying the self-destruction of a Pseudo-God powerhouse is? It's no less than a massive nuclear explosion, capable of annihilating hundreds of millions of lives!"
Ye Chen glanced at him sideways. "Are you threatening me?"
Kaba merely chuckled but offered no verbal reply.
Ye Chen did not press further. In truth, his purpose in asking was merely to confirm whether Kaba harbored such intentions, not to genuinely inquire about his specific strength.
"Having devoured two low-level demigods, my puppet body has recovered 30.47% of its strength. Dealing with demigods is no issue. Against Pseudo-Gods, this shell is sufficient to withstand an attack, though I would be powerless to counter," Kaba replied with a faint smile.
