A tremor ran through Ye Chen, every hair on his body standing on end as he sensed the opposing qi. He was secretly astonished; the mere emanation of this aura was terrifying. If the true form were to manifest before him, he would surely be frightened into kneeling in supplication.

Ye Chen’s eyes flickered. Gritting his teeth, he took two steps, forcing a surge of courage, and approached the edge of the seal. As he drew nearer, the oppressive force intensified, like a mere mortal walking toward the maw of a ten-zhang crab...

Kaba turned his head to glance at Ye Chen, saying in a low voice, "That Prehistoric Vicious Beast is beneath this spot. You’d best not go. Even I am no match for it; a single sneeze from it could kill you!"

Ye Chen paused for a moment, then murmured, "You don't need to follow. I can manage alone." With that, he walked inward. Regardless of life or death, to reach the outside world, he had to get through this layer!

Even if it meant death, he had no choice but to brace himself and proceed.

Kaba glared at Ye Chen irritably. "Easier said than done. If you insist on going, I won’t stop you, provided you extract the Seal of Dawn powder within us. Otherwise, if something happens to you, what becomes of us?"

Ye Chen nodded. "It's good that you know."

Kaba nearly spat blood. He hadn't expected that after exposing Ye Chen's intent, the young man wouldn't show even a shred of shame or attempt concealment.

Ye Chen didn't linger, stepping further down. A tremendously powerful gravitational pull enveloped him, dragging him down until he settled steadily on the lowest level.

Ye Chen’s vision swam, and immediately afterward, the surroundings registered in his sight. It was an extremely spacious area, utterly bare of debris, bathed entirely in fiery red. The temperature was searing, as if he were standing inside a furnace. Even though Ye Chen himself wielded fire-attribute energy and possessed a physique of Level Four and above, sweat beaded on his brow just standing there.

"Strange. Wasn't the Prehistoric Vicious Beast sealed on this floor?" Ye Chen frowned. Just then, his peripheral vision caught a flash of white movement in the expanse of red. Looking closely, it turned out to be a white rabbit, plump and incredibly adorable.

Ye Chen froze for a moment, then his eyes widened. "Could it be that the Prehistoric Vicious Beast... is actually this rabbit?"

He found it utterly impossible to reconcile the monstrous description of the Prehistoric Vicious Beast with this cute little bunny.

Ye Chen swept his gaze around; there were no other creatures, only this charming little white rabbit. He couldn't help but frown slightly, his expression growing grave as he slowly walked toward it.

The little white rabbit seemed to notice Ye Chen as well. It blinked its lustrous dark eyes and hopped over, stopping right at the tip of Ye Chen’s boot. It stood upright on its hind legs, its large, dark eyes gazing at Ye Chen with curiosity.

Man and beast regarded each other in silence.

Looking into the rabbit’s pure, dark eyes, Ye Chen almost suspected he was hallucinating. He circulated his qi to shield his body and remained ready to activate his Lightning Superman Mode at any moment. He slowly lowered his head and cautiously tested the silence, "Senior, are you the only one here?"

It was inherently ridiculous for a person to speak to a rabbit, yet Ye Chen knew that for this rabbit to survive so long in this intensely hot environment on this level, it must possess extraordinary qualities.

However, the little white rabbit seemed not to understand. It tilted its head, examining Ye Chen curiously, then suddenly darted to his feet and affectionately rubbed against his pant leg.

Ye Chen was slightly taken aback.

Swish! Swish! Provided by Dawn Spirit God.

At this moment, Kaba, unable to put his mind at ease about Ye Chen, jumped down with his contingent of puppets. He spotted Ye Chen at once and hurried over, asking immediately, "Are you alright?"

Ye Chen shook his head.

Kaba’s eyes flicked down and he saw the small white rabbit by Ye Chen’s feet. He froze, his expression turning strange. "Where did this foolish rabbit come from?"

Ye Chen turned to look at him, surprised. "Isn't this the Prehistoric Vicious Beast?"

Kaba stared blankly for a second, then burst into booming laughter. "You, this silly little bunny, is the Prehistoric Vicious Beast? Hahahaha—"

He laughed so hard he bent over double.

Ye Chen paused, then looked down at the little white rabbit. The creature was still affectionately rubbing against his pant leg, its fluffy body incredibly soft. He bent down, picked the rabbit up, and examined it closely. He genuinely couldn't detect anything unusual and felt a flicker of doubt.

Kaba waved his hand dismissively. "What's so interesting about a clumsy rabbit? Strange, where did that monster go? Wasn't it supposed to be here?" He scanned the area, his expression odd, then suddenly his gaze sharpened. In the eastern corner, he spotted something dark and rushed over.

Seeing Kaba’s sudden change, Ye Chen followed, still holding the rabbit. The group arrived at the corner, and as they approached, a heart-palpitating aura spread out. Ye Chen peered intently and saw that the dark object in the corner was actually a skeleton mixed with scales.

Kaba was greatly shocked when he saw the skeleton. "The vicious beast... how did it die?"

Ye Chen's gaze sharpened. He examined the skeleton and scales carefully and discovered numerous rich, green light points drifting off them—the essence of life energy!

"This Prehistoric Vicious Beast has been dead for who knows how long, yet its corpse still exudes Life Qi, and it hasn't even decayed!" Ye Chen was deeply shaken. "I wonder how terrifying it must have been in life?"

Kaba walked over and scrutinized it for a while before nodding slightly. He let out a dry chuckle. "It really is the carcass of that beast. Heh heh, I didn't expect this thing to die before me. Right, there's no food here; even with its physique, it couldn't sustain itself!"

A sharp glint flashed in Ye Chen’s eyes. He secretly probed the Rune Space. What started as a casual check turned into a connection, startling him. His eyes immediately lit up, and he stared intently at the skeleton. With a sweep of his hand, he opened the Fire Civilization Space!

The Rune Space had previously been overloaded with too many abyssal monsters, leaving only the Fire Civilization Space free.

Whoosh!

A pitch-black opening slowly materialized.

Kaba was slightly startled and quickly turned to look. Ye Chen, however, showed no hesitation. He extended a hand, channeling his qi outward, pulling the hundred-zhang skeleton toward the Fire Civilization.

To Ye Chen’s profound shock, the skeleton was immensely heavy, as if fused with the ground. Even with all his qi exerted, he couldn't shift it even a fraction, causing him to gasp in surprise.

Kaba saw Ye Chen attempting to claim the skeleton and roared in anger, "Let go! This is my property, get lost!"

Ye Chen’s gaze was like lightning as he shot Kaba a cold look. "Try me if you don't want to die!"

Kaba choked, staring at Ye Chen with frustrated anger. He then turned his attention back to the hundred-zhang skeleton. His eyes shifted rapidly. With his skill, he immediately recognized the immense value of the skeleton—it was the hardest part of that Prehistoric Vicious Beast’s body. If dismantled and integrated into his puppets, it would absolutely boost their power by several levels!

How could he let go of such a treasure?

But...

The deterrent effect Ye Chen had previously established was still vividly clear. He clenched his fists, grinding out, "You win this round, I admit defeat this time!"

Ye Chen let out a cold laugh and remained silent. "Since that's settled, you can help me move this skeleton into the space."

Kaba stared blankly, then exploded in rage. "You are pushing your luck too far!"

Ye Chen pondered for a moment. "How about this: if you help me move it in, I will extract one portion of the Seal of Dawn powder from those fifteen puppets."

Kaba started, his expression fluctuating. After a moment of internal struggle, he bit out, "No! Unless you take one portion from the Seal of Dawn in my three Pseudo-God Realm puppets!"

Ye Chen said casually, "If you don't want to, never mind." He then walked straight toward the skeleton. After taking a few steps, he unleashed a surge of qi toward the remains.

When the qi struck the skeleton, it didn't damage it but dissipated naturally. Seeing there were no traps, Ye Chen approached the skeleton, sat down cross-legged, and two black vortexes materialized at the center of his palms, furiously devouring the Life Qi coating the bones.

The little white rabbit nestled in his embrace, its large black eyes curiously observing the massive skeleton before them.

Kaba watched Ye Chen’s unhurried demeanor, momentarily stunned, then grew enraged. "Fine! I'll help you transport this thing inside. Stop wasting time here; if we die inside, I’ll suffer a huge loss."

Ye Chen opened his eyes, stood up, opened the Fire Civilization Space, and turned to Kaba with an overly polite gesture. "Please!"

Kaba almost wanted to strangle him, growling irritably, "You're despicable!" He stepped forward toward the skeleton. With a wave of his hand, a faint golden divine power surged out, forming a massive palm print that gripped the skeleton, slowly lifting the mountain-like structure. Provided by Dawn Spirit God.

"..." Kaba ground his teeth, using his strength to move the skeleton into Ye Chen's space, and then tossed the scales in as well. His heart was bleeding; he felt like weeping without tears.

"This brat took all the good stuff! Bastard!! When we get to the Ancient World, I'll find the Light Civilization and get a Slave Light Brain, and you will be my servant forever!!" Kaba clenched his fist, feeling an unprecedented sense of humiliation. A dignified Puppet Master, ordered around by a junior—it was utterly detestable!

Ye Chen watched the skeleton settle into the Fire Civilization Space and nodded slightly, satisfied. "Let's go!"

Kaba snorted, turned around, and quickly spotted a black vortex, three zhang tall, behind the skeleton, leading to the outside. He immediately took the lead and walked toward it.

Ye Chen's eyes flickered. He deliberately lagged a step behind Kaba as he followed.

Kaba reached the black vortex and stepped through, but suddenly a surging power rushed toward him, knocking him back several steps, nearly causing him to fall.

Kaba was startled. He hadn't expected a seal at the entrance of this passage. He angrily turned to look, only to see Ye Chen standing calmly, seemingly unsurprised. This stoked his fury even higher; he realized Ye Chen had deliberately provoked him and deliberately lagged behind to force him to test the path!

His gaze landed on the little white rabbit nestled in Ye Chen's arms. He paused momentarily, then knitted his brows. He suspected that Ye Chen had sensed something amiss because of the white rabbit and had acted accordingly. Such depth of calculation was truly terrifying!

"This seal might trap a foolish rabbit, but it won't trap me!" Kaba gritted his teeth, venting all his accumulated rage onto the seal. He punched out, his divine power surging forth, coalescing into a Golden Lion that crashed against the barrier.

Thwack!

The seal cracked.

Kaba looked pleased. "A mere seal thinks it can stop me? Hmph!" (To be continued [Provided by Dawn Spirit God's Awakening Update Group from Ziyoupo].
