Seeing the post, someone saying things like "Keep updating, all recommendation votes are for you" is truly invigorating. Today will be four updates; I earnestly request everyone to cast their recommendation votes for Darkness...
Under Bai Lan's guidance, the group arrived at the Inner Cabinet to select armor and weaponry to their liking.
Stretching across the third level was a seven-hued rainbow, like a cascading waterfall, shimmering with iridescent light. All manner of weapons, armor, and cloaks hovered in mid-air upon the rainbow, orbiting like planets, blazing with magnificent light—a truly stunning spectacle.
"These weapons all utilize photosynthesis metallurgy technology and possess special abilities," Bai Lan said, her delicate hand pointing to an ebony cloak. "This cloak is the 'Magic Concealment.' It is refined from the scales of a Qilin beast and the crown feathers of a Night Sparrow. It is exceptionally soft yet tough, repels dust, can defend against an attack of 1,000,000 G, and is inlaid with 3,600 Dark Source Points, allowing the wearer to conceal their aura and merge seamlessly with the surrounding scenery."
The power of 1,000,000 G is equivalent to the full might of a Level 2000 expert's strike.
Ye Chen and the others looked at the 'Magic Concealment' cloak. It was entirely black, appearing incredibly light, seemingly weightless. Small starlights dotted its surface, like a night sky studded with countless stars, exuding an air of elegant vastness.
"Wearing it grants invisibility?" Zhuge Fan asked in astonishment.
Bai Lan nodded with a smile.
"As expected of the ruins of the Fire Civilization; their technology for energy utilization has reached such a profound level," Bai Long murmured, shaking his head in appreciation. He had a basic understanding of physics and chemistry, knowing that space wasn't strictly parallel but could be folded. If this fold could be masked, it would create a visual illusion, rendering the wearer unseen.
The 'Magic Concealment' cloak was even more advanced; it didn't just conceal sight but also the aura, a magical effect largely attributed to those 3,600 Dark Source Points.
The group exchanged glances.
Yue Heng waved his hand. "I don't like invisibility. Whoever wants it can take it."
"Me neither," Bai Long took a step back.
Dislike? Any discerning eye could immediately recognize the value of this Magic Concealment cloak; it was perfect for exploration and treasure hunting. Only a fool would dislike it.
"Invisibility isn't fun," Zhuge Fan declined with a shake of his head.
Ye Chen glanced at them. "I don't need this thing. If you all don't want it, just take it back for Xu Tianguo and the others."
"You don't need it?" Bai Long was surprised. "You often venture into dangerous places; this would be perfect for you, wouldn't it?"
Ye Chen said coolly, "Once you reach a certain level, your hearing and sensory perception improve. This Magic Concealment cloak isn't high-grade enough for me. Unless it has 7,200 Dark Source Points."
The others suddenly understood; the greater the number of Dark Source Points, the stronger the intensity of the aura concealment.
"Since nobody wants it, I'll have to graciously accept it," Bai Long chuckled, reaching for the cloak.
"Accept my foot!" Yue Heng rolled his eyes good-naturedly. "Didn't you just say you didn't like it? Since you're taking it so reluctantly, I'll relieve you of the burden."
Zhuge Fan chuckled slyly. "I suddenly feel that invisibility is actually quite fun. Considering I'm the youngest, you should let me have it."
"Go play in the mud, you little brat!"
"What high tech are you playing with? Go play in the mud!"
Bai Long and Yue Heng both rolled their eyes simultaneously.
Zhuge Fan was dumbfounded.
After browsing for a while, they finally decided the Magic Concealment cloak was best suited for Mo Feng. Bai Long's reasoning echoed their thoughts: "This guy is like a plague-carrying pig who never gets hit in the rear; he’s perfectly suited for this kind of treacherous, sneaky attack."
Mo Feng merely glanced sideways at them and accepted the cloak without changing his expression.
After Mo Feng took the cloak, Bai Lan led the group along the rainbow path, continuing to select other weapons.
"This Sky Derivation Claw can tear through armor with 2,500,000 G defense. It has 108 Fire Source Points embedded around it, along with nine Fire Arc Patterns containing a special power. Once it tears living flesh, it instantly incinerates the blood globule, genes, and cells, preventing automatic healing. It requires special treatment for the wound to close; otherwise, the bleeding will continue indefinitely."
"This Heavenly Eye Headscarf is equipped with a miniature detection array. The sides connect to the sun via microcurrents that link to consciousness, projecting any object within a 5-kilometer radius directly into the mind."
"This is the Frost Barrier. It utilizes the principle of air compression, autonomously drawing free water elemental particles from the air to condense into an ice crystal shield capable of defending against 3,000,000 G of attack, limited to one use per day."
Under Bai Lan's guidance, one high-tech weapon and piece of armor, along with special effect ornaments, flashed before Ye Chen’s eyes. The crowd grew excited, their eyes shining, wishing they could wear everything at once.
Any single item here, if released into the outside world, would drive all Level 100 experts mad.
Two hours later, Ye Chen and the others had selected their respective weapons.
Ye Chen chose seven items in total: the Heavenly Eye Headscarf, Black Feather Armor, Blazing Flame Battle Boots, Gravity Bracers, Blazing Fist Gauntlets, Sky Crystal Shield, and the Chain of the Water God.
Apart from the "Chain of the Water God," which was a special item, the rest were Tier 5 Gold Grade, possessing extremely strong defense, and each was equipped with energy points granting different special abilities.
The Chain of the Water God was found on the first floor of the treasury—it was merely a common special item. Based on the arrangement of its Water Source Points, it could draw water elements from the air and condense them into liquid water, essentially serving as an inexhaustible personal reservoir. While it lacked offensive power, it was excellent gear for hunting in the wild.
Fully equipped, Ye Chen wore a light, white silk scarf that fluttered softly in the wind. He donned a long black robe dotted with faintly visible, shimmering points, clearly not something made with modern technology; it looked as if the entire brilliant night sky had been draped over him.
His Blazing Flame Battle Boots were as crimson as blood, making one feel a flush of heat just looking at them. The Gravity Bracers on his hands were dark like iron, solid and heavy, emitting a faint luminescence. The Blazing Fist Gauntlets on his palms were thin as cicada wings, covered in numerous fiery red specks. His Sky Crystal Shield resembled an eternal block of ice, shimmering brightly, featuring 10,009 diamond-cut facets, capable of defending against 5,000,000 G of attack.
"Still missing a weapon," Ye Chen looked at the seven-hued rainbow, scanning the selection, and frowned slightly when he didn't find a suitable weapon.
Bai Lan stood beside him, noticing the regret in his eyes. Her own eyes moved, and after a brief pause, she suddenly said, "There is a battle saber here. I wonder if you can use it?"
"A battle saber?" Ye Chen's eyes brightened. He had used sabers for ten years in his previous life; there wasn't a saber he couldn't handle. He asked directly, "What tier is it? Let me see."
Bai Lan glanced at him. "This saber has no attached energy points. Like the Sky Crystal Shield, it is forged from natural Sky Crystal and possesses no special abilities."
Ye Chen was momentarily stunned.
Sky Crystal was an extremely miraculous crystal originating from the mysterious, vast universe. It was dense and solid and came in four tiers, from low to high: White Sky Crystal, Red Sky Crystal, Gold Sky Crystal, and Purple Sky Crystal.
The Sky Crystal Shield in Ye Chen's hand was forged from White Sky Crystal, capable of withstanding the bombardment of ten-thousand-level experts. However, although the shield was not large, it was immensely heavy—at least 500,000 G. It would require a Level 1000 expert just to lift it.
With Ye Chen’s Level 1200 physique, merely holding it felt extremely strenuous; his arms would ache if held for too long. If he added a battle saber forged from Sky Crystal, he feared his body would collapse from the strain before he could even attack an enemy.
"Let me show it to you first. Perhaps you can use it in the future," Bai Lan smiled sweetly and turned, walking deeper into the Cabinet.
Ye Chen followed, deciding to see it first.
At the end of the seven-colored rainbow light, behind countless weapons, stood a massive white metal platform featuring two indentations. In the center lay a crimson battle saber.
When Ye Chen saw this saber, he couldn't help but draw a sharp breath.
Too long.
This crimson battle saber was about 20 meters long and nearly as wide as Ye Chen was tall, about one zhang. The hilt was extraordinarily thick, nearly a foot in diameter, requiring both of his arms clasped together just to grip it.
"This is a weapon inherited from ancient times. Legend says it was the weapon of the first generation of humans—the Giants," Bai Lan said, her eyes sparkling as she looked at the terrifyingly large crimson saber. "Its weight reaches 5,000,000 G, and it is forged from Red Sky Crystal. It requires a ten-thousand-level expert just to lift it."
5,000,000 G. That terrifying number alone was enough to leave onlookers dumbfounded.
Ye Chen couldn't help but give a wry smile. He couldn't budge this behemoth even exerting his maximum strength in his normal state; it was completely unusable unless he entered Superman Mode.
With his current physique, activating the evolved Ant Superman Mode would boost his strength 60 times, reaching 72,000 levels and 36,000,000 G of force.
Only the Ant Superman Mode could handle it. Lightning Mode primarily enhanced speed; the combat style relied entirely on impacting the enemy at supersonic velocity, not brute strength.
"I want this one," Ye Chen said to Bai Lan after a brief contemplation. "Can you lift it?"
Bai Lan was momentarily taken aback, then nodded. "I can lift it, but you only have the strength of a Tier 1 Gold rank now, so I fear..."
Ye Chen waved his hand. "It's fine." With a flick of his finger, the Rune Space opened, a swirling vortex about two zhang in diameter appearing out of thin air. Inside, a gray-white space held a spaceship.
"Just help me put it inside, with the hilt facing out," Ye Chen instructed.
Bai Lan looked at the extra-dimensional space with surprise, her eyes flickering. She said nothing more, walked over, extended her delicate, jade-like hand, gripped the hilt, wrapped her arms around it, and pushed the tip of the saber into the Rune Space, quickly setting it down atop the spaceship.
The green-robed old man floated out of the spaceship. Staring at the imposing battle saber, he was utterly dumbfounded and cried out wildly, "What is this thing? It’s so huge! Are you kidding me?"
Bai Lan glanced at him, "A smart system?"
The green-robed man turned his head, his eyes immediately lighting up as he looked at the heavenly, snow-white clad Bai Lan. He quickly put on a smiling face. "Little girl, looking at your delicate cheeks and the celestial light upon your brow, I can tell you possess extraordinary intelligence, certainly no ordinary person. I possess an unparalleled treasure. If you find me a corpse, I will reward you with it—guaranteeing you eternal youth and endless life..."
