The energy within him rapidly circulated to his arm; without yielding an inch, he drove a punch directly into the palm of the Three-Eyed Wolf’s claw. With a deafening bang, Ye Chen shook violently. Mid-air and with nowhere to brace himself, he was slammed down by the claw.

His feet struck the ground like massive tripods, kicking up a massive crater, the cracks spreading rapidly, causing the surrounding dirt and sand to bulge upwards. Ye Chen felt his soles go numb. Before he could even look up, he heard a wretched scream.

The Three-Eyed Wolf stood there, its face contorted in agony. One of its once strong and powerful forelimbs hung limply, as if devoid of bone. The internal bones, meridians, and blood vessels had been savagely pulverized and mashed into sludge by the force of the Rank Eight energy.

Ye Chen sighed inwardly, "I didn't expect this Three-Eyed Wolf would force me to use the 'Tian Xiang' movement technique. With this current body, I should be able to barely execute the first layer of Tian Xiang to the 'Excellent' degree." Tian Xiang is a combat movement technique, divided into nine layers. When activated, the body becomes as light as a swallow, and movements are swift as ghosts.

Both movement techniques and combat moves, such as Tai Chi Quan and Xing Yi Quan, are categorized into four levels: Ordinary, Excellent, Proficient, and Perfect. Humans living on Earth’s surface, surrounded by electrostatic and magnetic fields, possess bioelectricity. When any part of the human body becomes excited, it can cause electrical changes.

When martial arts training reaches profound realms, the bioelectric phenomenon within the body becomes very intense. In the Baihui area, a massive positive charge accumulates, causing a sensation of the head expanding outwards and the face flushing red. Simultaneously, the negative charges in the Yongquan area beneath the feet repel the negative charges on the Earth's surface, granting the body upward buoyancy.

As the mastery deepens from shallow to deep, this sensation turns into reality, and the buoyancy grows stronger until one can finally walk on walls and roofs. Ye Chen activated the Tian Xiang movement technique. Positive charges rapidly gathered at the crown of his head, making his brain feel as if it would explode.

His blood circulated at high speed, and beneath his feet, it felt like there were two jet nozzles propelling him, making his whole body feel like it was lifting off. His gaze was icy cold as he channeled his energy into his palms. His feet moved, and he executed the Tian Xiang footwork, merging the essences of fundamental steps like the glide step, crossing step, and conjunction step.

His movements were ghostly, and in an instant, he darted from the front of the Three-Eyed Wolf to behind its tail. The Three-Eyed Wolf's power relied entirely on the third eye on its forehead. Ye Chen suddenly darting behind it caused immediate panic, and it tried desperately to pivot.

However, its physical constitution was comparable to Ye Chen's, and with Ye Chen executing the first layer of Tian Xiang, his speed surged. He instantly grabbed the wolf's tail, vaulted up onto its back, and his fingers became like claws, grabbing the coarse brown fur on its back and scrambling towards its head. Feeling Ye Chen on its back, the Three-Eyed Wolf’s entire body bristled with terror.

It leaped wildly, shaking its body vigorously, trying to throw Ye Chen off. Ye Chen’s gaze hardened; he clamped his thighs tightly onto the wolf’s back, gripped the fur with both hands, opened his mouth, and bit down on its back—a bite that immediately pierced the hide. However, the hide of this Three-Eyed Wolf was unexpectedly tough.

Ye Chen couldn't bite through it and frowned. He looked up at the frantically leaping wolf. A flash crossed his eyes, and he suddenly channeled his energy into his fingernails, sharpening them tenfold, enough to scratch through concrete walls.

With a single swipe of his nail, he sliced off a patch of brown skin from the wolf’s back. He pressed down with his nail, but human fingernails were, after all, not as sharp as a monster's claws. Even infused with energy, his nails could barely cut through the skin, certainly not enough to rip open several bloody gashes.

Ye Chen did not give up. He channeled his energy to his fingertips, forming a sharp cone, and injected it through the hide into the Three-Eyed Wolf’s body. Following its meridians downward, the energy surged until it reached the heart region.

He briefly gathered his power there, then lunged forward like a hungry tiger, transforming into a sharp blade that pierced the scarlet heart. “Aooo!” The Three-Eyed Wolf let out a long howl to the sky, filled with grief, unwillingness, and a trace of despair. Its body swayed a few times before crashing to the ground.

During the beast’s final struggle, Ye Chen was thrown off, slamming into a nearby car, denting the car’s glass and bodywork. Ye Chen moved, emerging from the wreckage. He shook his body, flicking off the shards of glass clinging to his beast-hide robe.

He felt a lingering numbness in his soles, stinging pain in his fingers, and slight strains in his bones and sinews. He swiftly approached the Three-Eyed Wolf, looking at the corpse—only one arm broken externally, the rest seemingly intact—and sighed. He hadn't expected fighting a Three-Eyed Wolf of nearly equal physique barehanded to be this arduous.

Ye Chen walked over and crouched beside the wolf’s skull, taking a close look to confirm it was dead. After a moment’s contemplation, he raised his hand and gouged out the third eye on its forehead. The eye was dark black, about the size of a lychee, with a blood-red dot in the center, looking quite eerie.

Connected behind the eyeball were numerous fine blood vessels, like tentacles. “The size is about right,” Ye Chen nodded slightly. He placed the eye into the box that held the Bailing Dan and stored it in his Rune Space.

Subsequently, Ye Chen summoned Little Black. Not far away, Little Black, along with a contingent of Black Worms and Silver Mechanical Warriors, came running. Seeing the Three-Eyed Wolf on the ground, Little Black immediately understood Ye Chen’s intent.

It commanded a Rank 11 Three-Tailed Silver Wolf amongst the Black Worms. That Silver Wolf stepped forward, approached the corpse of the Three-Eyed Wolf, lowered its head, and a gelatinous, furry black worm, spherical in appearance yet covered in what were actually sensory feelers, slowly crawled out of its ear. As this Black Worm emerged, the corpse of the Three-Tailed Silver Wolf collapsed, no longer controllable.

The Black Worm then crawled into the Three-Eyed Wolf’s ear. Currently, all 68 Black Worms had reached Rank 8 physique, and Little Black had reached Rank 12. With this Black Worm’s physique, it could control any creature below Rank 88.

It slowly crawled into the Three-Eyed Wolf’s ear but crawled out again shortly after. Ye Chen frowned, "What happened?" The Black Worm replied aggrievedly, "Its brain core was destroyed, making it uncontrollable. The meridians connected to its brow were also severed." Ye Chen froze for a moment, then remembered that when he gouged out its third eye, he had severed many fine blood vessels.

Could it be because of these severed meridians that the brain nerve system was paralyzed? Thinking of this, Ye Chen managed a wry smile. He had expended immense effort to kill the Three-Eyed Wolf barehanded specifically to avoid damaging the body so the Black Worms could control it.

Yet, in the end, gouging out its eye had rendered all his efforts in vain. If he had known, he would have simply used the Blood Red Battle Blade for a clean, decisive chop. Ye Chen picked up the Black Worm and handed it to Little Black, telling it to hide in the fur of the Blood-Toothed Tiger to avoid being killed.

Then, he drew the Blood Red Battle Blade and sliced off the Three-Eyed Wolf's fur, teeth, and claws. Since the corpse was perfectly preserved, the Three-Eyed Wolf’s hide, when spread out, was enormous. Under the sharp edge of the Blood Red Battle Blade, it was easily cut open, yielding enough material to make three or four sets of armor, each set comprising a tunic, trousers, wrist guards, and knee pads.

Ye Chen stored these materials in his Rune Space. He then channeled his energy to extract the residual life force from the rest of the corpse, causing his mid-Rank Eight energy to increase slightly. He would need to absorb the life force of at least 120 more Rank 85 monsters to break through to Rank Nine.

Ye Chen glanced up; dusk was beginning to fall. He gave up the idea of hunting more monsters, retracted the Silver Mechanical Warriors and all the other creatures into his Rune Space, then moved to the adjacent street, finding a large building and slipping inside. As soon as he entered the building, over a dozen zombies rushed out.

Ye Chen flicked his fingers, drawing the Blood Red Battle Blade. The three-meter-long blade swept across, instantly killing three or four zombies. Black ichor spilled everywhere.

Ye Chen’s eyes grew icier. His figure flashed, and several breathtaking arcs of blood-red blade light streaked out. The remaining zombies froze in place, as if rooted.

Ye Chen sheathed the Blood Red Battle Blade, his gaze indifferent. He walked past the corpses of those few zombies towards the stairs leading to the second floor. Not long after he passed, the heads of those zombies slid forward, falling from their necks like rubber balls onto the ground, the cuts perfectly clean.

Ye Chen reached the second floor and found a room. This building appeared to be a corporate office, decorated very brightly. Several corpses lay sprawled in the empty corridor, riddled with wounds; it was unclear if they were deceased humans or dormant zombies.

Ye Chen entered an office. It was quite spacious, filled with stacked books, and a pool of fresh blood stained the floor. Slumped over a desk in front of the office was a woman, her hair covering her face, completely still, her body smeared with blood, resembling a corpse.

Someone unfamiliar might walk up and casually pat her shoulder. Ye Chen quietly closed the office door. There was a glass window on the wall that offered a view of the main workspace outside.

Ye Chen walked to the bookshelf and picked up a few books to flip through. Behind him, the figure that had been slumped over slowly lifted its head. Its face was ferocious, its eyes glowing green, fixed on Ye Chen as it suddenly lunged at him.

Ye Chen continued flipping through the books without turning around. At the precise moment the female zombie lunged, he suddenly twisted and kicked out, striking below its lower abdomen, employing the force of "Shock." The blow instantly ruptured its belly, sending its body flying backward into the wall where it slumped down limply. It then slowly crawled towards Ye Chen, supporting itself with its hands while hissing.

Ye Chen glanced at it, shook his head, walked to the edge of the office, picked up a ballpoint pen, and casually tossed it. The pen shot out like a bullet, piercing the female zombie’s brow and penetrating its brain. …… Next update around 10 o'clock.
