The process was bizarre to the extreme, and utterly mad. A new Queen Bee would devour the old one, only to produce a new Queen who would, in turn, devour the previous incumbent. Occasionally, attendants would bring back strange, exotic flora, which the Queen would also consume.

Qin Fen could not find the right words to describe the process, and a chilling sensation, like layers of skin crawling, rose within him.

Evolution: by eating the old, the new could be born! Qin Fen didn't know why such a bizarre method existed, but he knew it was certainly not normal, and might even carry severe repercussions.

This method completely defied common sense for evolution! It was much like pursuing advancement in martial arts with reckless disregard for everything else.

Having been repeatedly cornered by Song Wendong, a deep-seated sense of crisis lingered in the Queen Bee’s very core. This urgency forced her to constantly seek ways to evolve, even if this path of development, which violated natural laws, might lead to terrible outcomes; she had no intention of stopping.

Swallowing again and again, evolving time and again, Qin Fen couldn't grasp why this self-cannibalism could lead to evolution, yet it was visibly happening before his eyes.

The Queen Bee finally ceased her self-consumption. She began to meditate, mimicking the posture of humans. She possessed an advantage humans lacked: the timeline in her space ran far faster than in the human world.

Scientists relentlessly researched methods to adjust the timeline. However, before they could finalize the timeline adjustment method, or even develop a way to destroy this new space, a misoperation during an experiment accidentally tore open another channel connecting to the Pandora space. The worst part was that once this tunnel opened, it could not be closed, and its activation sequence could not be halted; it was set to automatically open other connections in the future.

The location of this new spatial connection was Mars! The meditating Queen Bee ceased her practice the instant the connection was successfully established.

She raised her head, her two large eyes—which were not human eyes, but rather resembled the compound eyes of a bee—gazing fixedly at the spatial tunnel linking to Mars.

Seeing this, Song Wendong immediately contacted Shangguan, who was then pioneering the development of Mars and temporarily residing there—the future Vermilion Bird.

The Queen Bee in the projection let out a roar toward the heavens. All the plants surrounding her shattered in the sound waves. The immense outflow of air, contained only within the projection screen, was enough for Qin Fen to feel its terrifying power! Her strength was even greater than that of the White Tiger when it first broke through space to enter Earth!

Master! This Queen Bee possessed the power of a Master, or perhaps someone like Sha Po Jun!

After lurking for many days, the Queen Bee charged out of the Pandora space for the first time. She traveled directly to Mars through the spatial link.

Qin Fen's heart clenched, filled with curiosity and confusion as to how the Vermilion Bird managed to survive against the Queen Bee's overwhelming power.

Soon, Qin Fen understood why.

Upon charging into Mars, the Queen Bee found no advantage against the Vermilion Bird. On the contrary, she was at a disadvantage. Much like when Song Wendong crossed boundaries into the new space, the Queen Bee faced the same problem upon entering the space belonging to humanity: her combat effectiveness was forcibly suppressed. Although not as harsh as in the Pandora space, it was still something not to be underestimated.

The battle did not last long. The Queen Bee realized something was wrong, understood she couldn't defeat the Vermilion Bird, and feared being surrounded by other arriving powerhouses; she immediately chose to flee, retreating back to her own space.

Watching the events on the screen, Qin Fen managed a weak, helpless smile. The very rules established to protect the Queen Bee back then had unexpectedly protected humanity again. Even Song Wendong and the others attacking in full force might not have secured a decisive victory over the Queen Bee, especially since they were scattered across different locations and would have been engaged piecemeal.

Not long after this battle, the Queen Bee began laying eggs, engaging in new biological reproduction. Occasionally, she would suddenly breach the human world, devour a few humans, and then swiftly retreat to continue her grand endeavor of propagation. However, she never resumed martial arts cultivation again, nor did she focus on producing new Queen Bees.

Shortly after that battle, scientists finally grasped fragments of the timeline data. Although they could not make the time in the new space run slower than the human world, they could modify it to run synchronously with the normal human world.

But once the time in the human world and the new space aligned, humanity’s energy issues resurfaced. The spatial scientists proceeded to open yet another new space!

This new space was different from the Pandora space. Benefiting from the experience of opening the previous portal and years of accumulated exploration, this newly opened space was much, much smaller than the Moon.

This was merely a farm, nothing more than a farm. However, constrained by production limitations, the pace of human development slowed down accordingly.

When everything was finalized, the Divine Beast Warrior system was born through Song Wendong's efforts! Yet, aside from Song Wendong on Earth, the Divine Beast Warriors did not immediately materialize; the White Tiger and others first began recruiting powerful warriors across the planets.

This was not for defense, but for counterattack! Through the projection, Qin Fen discovered a problem that Song Wendong and the others had already recognized: no matter how the Queen Bee’s offspring evolved, the Queen Bee herself had completely stopped evolving!

This left her agitated and anxious, and sometimes, she seemed to be making some strange preparations.

“She intends to birth an Emperor,” an aged voice interrupted Qin Fen’s speculation. “Strictly speaking, this Queen Bee is merely a social monarch. She currently occupies the highest peak, and perhaps if she had continued normal evolution, she would have reached the ultimate peak. But the self-mutilating, rapid evolution resulted in her inability to reach a perfect state. Not only has her body stopped evolving, but the human martial arts she cultivates also hit a ceiling; she cannot break through again.”

Qin Fen nodded in understanding. This outcome was pure bad news for the Queen Bee. Neither Song Wendong nor the other warriors had stopped growing; even if their progress wasn't fast, they showed no signs of halting.

Faced with this fatal threat, how could the Queen Bee not be anxious?

Similarly, what would humanity’s reaction be when they learned the Queen Bee was brewing a scheme to birth a stronger Emperor? If one Queen Bee was this formidable, what about the Emperor?

“The Queen Bee is a strange evolutionary entity. If she had continued to evolve normally and peacefully, it is speculated she could have evolved to adapt to the laws of other spaces?”

‘Adapt’? Qin Fen’s eyes narrowed. If that truly happened, it would be terrible news! The Queen Bee could cross realms at will. At that time...

The current Queen Bee could no longer achieve this, meaning the Emperor she birthed would evidently possess this capability! However, evolution isn't as simple as attending a banquet, especially when producing a top-tier Emperor.

“It was around this time that the Bio-Mechanical Beasts appeared,” the aged voice said with a hint of satisfaction. “The emergence of the Bio-Mechanical Beasts came from a breakthrough in the research of alien space organisms. From then on, they formed a separate research group.”

Qin Fen wasn't overly surprised. After Lin Li’s previous exclamations and the information he was currently seeing, such a development was not astonishing.

“However, the shadow of death still pressed down on those who knew the truth,” the aged voice lamented with more helplessness. “This pressure, which couldn't be allowed to cause public panic, gradually drove the researchers toward madness and extremism.”

“Finally—”

On the projection screen, a group of biologists began experimenting by combining living humans with alien space creatures, attempting to create new methods, rather than using corpses for scientific testing as before.

This extreme approach immediately drew dissatisfaction from another faction of scientists, leading to their first major dispute. This argument did not settle who was right or wrong, but it introduced conflict into the scientific collective, which had previously been harmonious and focused on a unified charge.

Conflict isn't built in a day, and as time wore on, it grew sharper. The situation even devolved to the point where children were used as experimental subjects.

Chen Feiyu’s body trembled slightly as he saw the images, his eyes flashing with a mixture of excitement and hatred! Those were the exact experiments conducted using his and his comrades' bodies—martial artists cultivating true qi, their bodies unable to withstand the backlash, suffering qi deviation, and then being discarded like trash.

The accumulated conflict gradually reached an irreconcilable point.

At this juncture, Qilin Song Wendong, who held a lofty, almost supreme status geographically, finally intervened.

Song Wendong did not execute the extremist scientists. This did not surprise Qin Fen; the things these deluded scientists were doing could not be judged purely as right or wrong at this point; it could only be said their methods were overly extreme.

After quelling the conflict this time, a true fanatic emerged from among the nearly insane scientists. He suddenly proclaimed that the current societal structure and the so-called Divine Beast Warrior approach could not save this society, which appeared prosperous but was actually filled with peril.

Only true powerhouses, Kings! Only the jungle law of survival of the fittest and natural selection could destroy that new realm called Pandora.

A group of passionate scientists flocked to the banner of this man, Zhang Hao. They broke away from the organization formed by numerous scientists called the 'Founders Society' and independently established their own system, yet they retained the name 'Founders Society,' proclaiming themselves the only true orthodox faction.

The splinter group of the Founders Society operated entirely under the principle of survival of the fittest. However, any results they achieved through research were not kept exclusive; they were relayed back to the original Founders Society headquarters almost immediately.

Thus, there came to be two Founders Societies in the world!
