The planet was named Origin Star by the various races of the Orion Arm. It was the closest planet to the Orion Arm from the hundreds of billions of stars in the Perseus Arm, and the first one conquered by the joint expeditionary forces upon entering the Perseus Arm.

The races established the Joint Command Headquarters here for two reasons: firstly, from an astronomical perspective, it was an excellent communication relay point, capable of efficiently handling the exchange of information between the expeditionary forces and the Orion Arm; secondly, it held a symbolic meaning, representing the commencement of the races' conquest of the Perseus Arm, starting from this point.

However, when establishing the Joint Command Headquarters, none of the races ever anticipated an event like today's, where countless Zerg armies breached the layered defenses to arrive here, plunging the Joint Command into utter disaster.

One hour after the Zerg assault began, the defending fleet lost over half its strength, and the remaining warships were mostly damaged. Although they continued to resist, their threat to the Zerg had diminished significantly. Since the battle occurred within the planet's gravitational sphere, the crash of numerous warships plunged the entire planet into a sea of fire.

The anti-air cannons in the ground military bases of the various races mostly malfunctioned. Swarms of Mutalis descended from the heavens to assault the ground, while Banelings bounced erratically, their trajectories as unpredictable as skipping bullets. Spore Pods and Parasites launched by Guardians and Brood Lords rained down like artillery shells, shattering every defensive fortification into fragments.

Swarms of Queen Bees, under the cover of the air force, spread contamination everywhere, converting densely populated buildings into Zerg structures, using the personnel as material to produce suicide bombers, which then rampaged to spread terror even further afield.

At this moment, the Swarm Emperors turned their gaze toward the depths of space. A colossal Warstar was hurtling in from the distance. This Warstar had a radius of about two thousand kilometers, slightly larger than the Moon, its exterior resembling the Moon, covered in pockmarked craters. As it approached the planet, countless gunports slowly opened on the Warstar's surface, revealing energy cannon barrels of various high and low energy levels. Their muzzles glowed faintly, clearly charging.

Several larger hatches also opened, from which poured forth countless warships, fighters, mechs, automated floating turrets, and various oddly shaped automatic weapons whose purpose was entirely unclear.

These combat implements poured out from the Warstar, emitting scattered points of light, like rivers of stars flowing outward from the core, their luminescence resembling a miniature galaxy.

The Swarm Emperors knew that this Warstar was the mobile fortress of the Joint Command Headquarters. If necessary, the Command would transfer to the Warstar. Under normal circumstances, this Warstar remained on standby in the outer planetary orbit of the star system, simultaneously responsible for defending the final perimeter line surrounding Origin Star. However, today, the Zerg army, via Yang Ying's intervention, materialized directly outside the planet from the Floating Continent, rendering the defense line constructed by the Warstar useless.

Seeing the Warstar approaching, the Swarm Emperors exchanged glances, their forms flickering as they shot toward it. While this super-gigantic combat fortress boasted formidable offense, thick armor, and nearly infinite power, against a Level Four entity, it appeared like a sluggish brute. Once the Swarm Emperors breached its interior, conquering the entire Warstar would merely be a matter of time.

The Swarm Emperors quickly closed in on the Warstar. The Warstar's surface featured numerous outlets, and to rapidly deploy the fleet within, these openings were all currently in the open position.

The Swarm Emperors effortlessly flew into one of the larger openings. Inside, they found a long passage connecting behind the exit, deep and pitch-black, seemingly endless. However, the Swarm Emperors were no ordinary beings; their vision was immeasurably profound, allowing them to instantly discern that this tunnel stretched nearly two hundred kilometers!

In fact, the Warstar had originally been converted from a considerably large satellite. The specific construction of the Warstar was the work of the Gallan race; they had hollowed out the satellite's core and built hundreds of layers of magnificent internal architecture.

The outer shell, which served a protective function, was two hundred kilometers thick. This shell was robust enough to withstand most destructive weapons in the Orion Arm, and even the Level Ten Planet Destroying Cannons of the Zyklos could only leave surface marks without causing critical damage.

This Warstar, whether for combat or habitation, was among the most advanced in the Orion Arm. Furthermore, it was self-sufficient internally, capable of operating independently for a millennium without any resupply.

The Swarm Emperors cloaked their forms and traversed the passage. Not far in, they encountered three layers of one-way force fields—shields designed only for exit, not entry. Internal combat units could pass through, but anything from the outside, whether physical or energetic, would be blocked.

Moreover, if necessary, these shields could be reversed to allow entry but block exit, a setting often used when external forces needed to retreat into the Warstar’s interior.

This device allowed for flexible control over order within the passages and could easily seal or open the tunnels when required.

But to the Swarm Emperors, the three layers of one-way force fields were like nothing. Because they were concealed within the folds of space itself, they needed no effort to negotiate the space occupied by the shields, bypassing them directly, as if taking a detour; they appeared to touch the shield, but in reality, they flowed around it.

In fact, in this state, they could even pass through solid walls. Whether the passage existed or not was immaterial to them. Even if the entire Warstar were sealed, they could pierce the two-hundred-kilometer-thick outer shell and enter its interior.

Reaching the bottom of the passage, they entered an enormous space, hundreds of kilometers long and wide, rivaling the size of a large city. It was clearly a docking bay for warships, with many medium and large vessels queuing behind the passage, awaiting entry.

The Swarm Emperors paid no attention to these ships. They blinked another hundred kilometers away to a passage twenty meters wide and ten meters high. After entering, they soon reached a fork. Besides forward, left, and right directions, there were also three-dimensional junctions like forward-up, forward-down, left-up, left-down, right-up, and right-down, clearly leading to different parts of the Warstar's interior. Here, the Swarm Emperors split up.

Meanwhile, on the planet's surface, the Zerg army continued its relentless advance. The various races had stationed numerous elite units on this planet, and after surviving the initial chaos, they began to reorganize into a counterattack posture.

They utilized various residual supplies to establish defensive positions, using fortifications to deplete the Zerg forces. Many combat fortresses, as large as small mountains, were deployed. These weapons, embodying the technological pinnacle of the various races, relentlessly spat out beams of light and missiles, launching fierce counterattacks against nearby Zerg units.

Most ground combat fortresses had been destroyed in their hangars during the Zerg air raid's opening volley, but some remained intact. Piloting these fortresses were the most elite soldiers of the various races, mostly awakened beings whose reaction speed and combat capabilities far surpassed ordinary soldiers or combat robots.

Under their control, the combat fortresses demonstrated astonishing lethality, achieving local superiority against the Zerg hordes. Large numbers of Zerg air units were shot down, their flesh and blood raining down like a curtain, splattering onto the fortresses like a coat of crimson paint.

Centered around these combat fortresses, the armies of the races regrouped, stabilized their formation, steadied morale, and then launched their counteroffensive.

Missiles, artillery shells, and energy beams were fired densely toward the Zerg formations in the sky. They maintained stable and saturated firepower, inflicting further losses on the Zerg host.

At this moment, a sharp shriek suddenly cut through the battlefield. Many immense figures descended from the sky—they were Cerebrates. Seeing the resistance from the allied armies inflicting heavy casualties on the Zerg forces, they were enraged and finally joined the assault.

Those summoned by the Swarm Emperors this time were mostly the first batch of Cerebrates; they had amassed sufficient forces, allowing their psychic power to reach the mid- or even late stages of Level Four!

One Cerebrate effortlessly lifted a combat fortress weighing tens of thousands of tons from the ground using telekinesis, then violently hurled it toward other fortresses nearby. With thunderous explosions, both combat fortresses were completely annihilated.

Another Cerebrate spewed a ball of purple acid mist at a combat fortress. A tooth-aching sizzling sound followed as the fortress’s surface erupted in purple foam, then melted away like ice heated in the sun!

Others used brute force. They stepped forward, grabbed a combat fortress with their claws, and tore off a module, or extended a tentacle and twisted, ripping the fortress into pieces.

Since the appearance of the Cerebrates, the armies of the various races had never subjected them to saturated fire. Beams of focused light and flying missiles covered every inch of the Cerebrates' flesh, from head to tail.

All the Cerebrates were blasted and mangled, yet not a single one fell in battle. Under the Overmind’s protection, even if they were torn to shreds, they could instantly resurrect on the spot!

The resurrection speed of the Cerebrates even far surpassed that of ordinary Level Four entities. If a Level Four entity was killed by conventional means, its soul would be cast into the negative side of the psychic world, requiring a significant accumulation of power before it could be resurrected in the real world.

But the Cerebrates were different. They only needed Yang Ying to think a thought to resurrect instantly in place—truly the universe's best, strongest, and most diligent meat shields!

The allied armies had just regained their footing, but the participation of the Cerebrates quickly shattered their fighting confidence once more. These beings that could not be killed, possessing terrifying physical power and Level Four psychic might, became their greatest, lingering nightmare.
