God-Core Technology. As the name implies. It centers around a single deity, equipped with various enhancements to form a cohesive system. This technology is a supreme fire-control method built upon the foundation of Light Brains.

The Empire’s Light Brain is a device capable of translating psychic waves into light waves, and light waves are the carriers of information. By utilizing the Light Brain, one can link their own consciousness directly to mechanical systems. To draw an analogy, the virtual world of the True Human Empire functions on this very principle. On the battlefield, a Level Four entity utilizing a Light Brain can establish a psychic link with an entire fleet, turning the whole armada into an extension of their own limbs. A mere thought directs the fleet; point east, and it moves east; point west, and it moves west—utterly at their command. This is the pinnacle of military formation technology, achieving the seamless union of person and army.

Because the sheer volume of information generated when a fleet maneuvers is astronomical, even a peak Level Three psychic presence would be instantly overloaded and annihilated by the massive data flow. Effective reading and manipulation of this data necessitates Level Four psychic strength. Therefore, controlling a fleet absolutely requires a Level Four entity at its core, which is why this technology is dubbed God-Core Technology.

Under the effect of God-Core Technology, a Level Four entity can maximize a fleet’s combat potential, and conversely, amplify their own power through the fleet’s energy systems. This technique organically merges the strengths of the fleet and the Level Four entity, yielding an effect greater than the sum of its parts.

No matter how powerful a Level Four entity’s psychic might or the energy they command, it cannot surpass the energy wielded by a fleet. After all, every warship is installed with an energy reactor, fueled by antimatter, pure energy blocks, or other types of energetic matter. Regardless of the fuel source, each ship possesses tremendous motive power, enabling spatial jumps and main cannon strikes. The combined energy output of a ten-thousand-ship fleet far exceeds the total power of a maximum-level Level Four existence.

On the other hand, a fleet’s fire control system is significantly slower than the consciousness of a Level Four entity. Firing the main cannons of a fleet at a Level Four being is often likened to swatting a mosquito with a siege weapon—the hit rate is abysmal. However, by linking the fire control system to the Level Four entity’s psychic world, the entity’s consciousness dictates the allocation of fire, naturally leading to a massive increase in accuracy.

Previously, an entire fleet before a Level Four entity was like a pile of dead objects. But with the God-Core System, these inert masses came alive. Whether fighting another fleet in a group engagement or ganging up on a single Level Four entity, they proved unstoppable in every scenario.

The difference in efficiency between a fleet equipped with the God-Core System and one without is calculated in the thousands of times. It is no wonder the Gallan Star race ascended to the pinnacle of civilization in the Orion Arm; this God-Core System alone allowed them to stand firm against the combined forces of various races.

Yang Ying now understood. The Gallan Star people’s ability to transport a fleet via a wormhole earlier clearly involved amplifying Bedak’s power using the entire fleet’s energy reserves, not just Bedak’s individual strength.

Since the Thirteen Blade Emperors had already prepared, the main cannon barrage only managed to disperse ten illusions. The Blade Emperors themselves were hiding within spatial rifts and suffered only minor shockwaves, remaining unharmed.

However, Bedak’s fleet hanging in the sky was a major problem. Bedak, integrated with his fleet, could unleash an attack equivalent to dozens of maximum-level Level Fours. Furthermore, he was shielded by layers of defensive fleets. Even if all thirteen Blade Emperors attacked simultaneously, they only held a fifty-fifty chance of taking down Bedak, not to mention the surrounding cluster of Level Four entities watching covetously.

At that moment, a colossal wave of psychic power descended from the sky, immediately churning the surrounding space into chaos. Crisp sounds, like shattering crystal, echoed from the void. The Blade Emperors felt a pervasive ripple surround them, and the spatial rifts shattered. Their forms materialized above the battlefield.

It was Bedak again!

He had used the fleet’s amplification to destabilize space, forcing the Blade Emperors out!

Yingmuli smiled faintly, appearing utterly confident of victory. He looked up, his body suddenly shrinking back to its normal size, then transforming into a ray of rainbow light that shot straight toward the heavens.

The Blade Emperors frowned. This was clearly not an act of cowardice. A quick thought confirmed it: the one approaching was Bedak and his guard fleet. Yingmuli, as one of the Gallan Star guardians, ranked even above Bedak. His guard fleet would certainly be larger, not smaller, than Bedak’s. His departure likely meant he was fetching his personal guard fleet!

They reasoned that if Yingmuli were allowed to leave, he would soon return with a massive guard fleet via a colossal wormhole.

All this flashed through the Blade Emperors’ minds in an instant. Five of them shouted in unison, “Trying to leave? Not that easily!” Their forms flickered, and they shot up to pursue the receding rainbow light!

This was like pulling one thread to move the whole garment. As the Blade Emperors moved, the various races’ Level Four entities stirred. Shaluo and Salian roared, “Stop them!” and transformed into a grey, churning phantom and a pillar of light, respectively, following them into the sky.

The other Level Four entities were about to follow when eight Blade Emperors materialized before them, blocking the path!

Meanwhile, high above, Yingmuli tore open a wormhole with a wave of his hand, preparing to plunge through. Suddenly, a wave of arcane fluctuation struck from behind. Almost precisely as the wormhole opened, it was hit. Two fiery dragons erupted, and the wormhole instantly burst into flame. The raging fire swiftly consumed the wormhole entirely!

This phenomenon indicated that this flame burned not just material objects, but psychic power as well—it was the Feedback Technique, one of the Dark Archons’ ultimate skills!

Now employed by a maximum-level Level Four Blade Emperor, its power was incomparably greater than before; it could even intercept and nullify the opening of a wormhole.

The five leading Blade Emperors, seeing Shaluo and Salian the Great also ascending, immediately detached one of their number to meet the two incoming figures.

Mid-air, the Blade Emperor pointed toward the pair, and void energy condensed furiously. A green flame shot from his fingertip. After launching, it instantly grew, transforming into a screen of green fire that eclipsed the sky, covering almost the entire expanse overhead.

Shaluo responded by extending his right hand, condensing a golden sphere of light in his palm. The gold grew richer until it became a miniature sun. Shaluo assumed a posture and hurled the golden sun toward the green wall of fire!

Salien the Great slashed sideways, and an invisible, colorless spatial energy stabbed toward the green barrier. This spatial energy was incredibly thin, like a blade, possessing extreme sharpness. Space before this energy sliced open like thin paper, leaving behind a perfectly straight cut mark in the air.

The golden sun and the sharp spatial energy struck the green fire wall simultaneously. With a deafening explosion, the wall was blasted with two openings, but it immediately began to regenerate. Shaluo and Salien the Great launched their golden sun and spatial energy like successive arrows into the green fire wall. The gaps grew larger, and the wall’s ability to recover weakened. With a flash of phantom shadow and white light, Shaluo and Salien the Great passed through the fire wall, resuming their normal forms once clear.

However, the fire wall had consumed significant time. Behind the wall stood another Blade Emperor. Seeing them approach, he instantly condensed two green, crescent-shaped scimitars from void energy in his palms. He then split off an illusion to engage Salien the Great while he advanced toward Shaluo.

Tens of thousands of meters above them, Yingmuli continued his upward trajectory.

The wormhole-opening spell was exceptionally demanding, requiring a relatively safe and stable environment for activation. The battlefield on the surface was saturated with overflowing energy. Even if the Blade Emperors hadn't sealed the space, a stable wormhole could not have been formed there.

Yingmuli glanced back and saw the four pursuing Blade Emperors. The Bedak fleet in outer space once again rained down an overwhelming torrent of light, as magnificent as the Milky Way but carrying terrifying destructive power.

The great chasm blasted into the planet's crust by the earlier fleet barrage had sunk deep into the lithosphere, severely compromising the planet's geological stability. Even if the battle ended now, this world was ruined. From this point forward, catastrophic weather events would erupt endlessly—a hundred times more severe than the Ice Ages Earth once experienced. Violent tectonic shifts would swallow every living creature on the surface. It would take at least ten million years of natural evolution for this planet to potentially support life again.

But neither side could concern themselves with that now. The importance of this battle far outweighed the value of a habitable world. If the Orion Arm Expeditionary Force lost, the campaign would end here. Furthermore, the deaths of several Level Four entities might even cause internal rifts and lead to endless civil wars within their respective races.

If the ten Blade Emperors of the Zerg swarm were defeated, the Zerg offensive would be temporarily halted, perhaps even causing the swarm to turn on itself due to the loss of high-level control, effectively solving the Zerg problem that plagued the Expeditionary Force.

Of course, these were merely the assumptions of the Expeditionary Force side. In Yang Ying's view, failing this attack was inconsequential, even at the cost of his thirteen avatars. He could simply conjure another lineup of thirteen Blade Emperors in a few days, perhaps even more, as long as the main Zerg army remained.

From the very beginning, the outcome of this battle was sealed: the allied forces were destined for defeat because the enemy they faced was a fundamentally perfect being that should exist only in imagination.

Ugh... this is my fault. It seems I need to work much harder on adjusting my writing schedule. Chapter Three will be postponed until tomorrow. Please bear with me, everyone.
