The drafts have moved into Volume Two, introducing Death God Soul Energy cultivation, the attributes of Soul Energy, and the factions/races making their appearance. A brief explanation follows.
Death God Soul Energy Realms: Blood Vessel, Sacrifice Body, Moving Spirit, Shadow Devour, Wildlessness. Each major realm is divided into three ascending tiers—Initial, Mid, and High—and these tiers are absolute barriers.
Blood Vessel: Soul Energy is used to empower weaponry, enhancing the weapon itself. Different Soul Energy attributes bestow distinct enhancement effects.
Sacrifice Body: Soul Energy is channeled into the physical form, focusing power into a specific body part. Different Soul Energy attributes yield varied physiological results.
Moving Spirit: Soul Energy saturates the entire body, allowing the soul to depart. The level of cultivation determines the number of extant souls, and the combat style of these souls is dictated by the Soul Energy attribute.
Shadow Devour: The user absorbs souls to replenish their own essence, changing their form and attribute based on the souls consumed.
Wildlessness: Manifests as volatile detonation and soul-slaying sweeps, enabling wide-area attacks. Attributes are linked to Soul Energy saturation.
Soul Energy Attributes: Ice, Fire, Poison, Strength, Speed, Unsurpassed, Divine, Sky Ladder. Soul Energy requires replenishment; Death Gods below the Shadow Devour realm cannot sustain combat for extended periods. Over-expenditure of Soul Energy leads to annihilation.

Ye Xiu: Fire-aligned Death God Realm: Initial Blood Vessel stage, just beginning to engage with Soul Energy cultivation. Weapon: Purple Flame, Death Scythe (One of the two Saint Blades of the Underworld). Magic Artifact: Soul Stone Jade Ring, which possesses the capacity to absorb Soul Energy, though it cannot alter the user's intrinsic attribute or form—effectively a rudimentary Shadow Devour mechanism.
Old Liu: A practitioner of the Ancient Arcane Path, Sword lineage. Realm: Eight Chapters of the Ancient Arcane Path; Old Liu has mastered three chapters. Weapon: Thin Blade, Demon-Shattering Seven Swords (The other of the two Saint Blades of the Underworld). Magic Artifact: Daoist talismans.
Birdman: A member of the Feather lineage of the Sun-Blind race. Realm: Sun-Blind Feathered Person; attacks using feathers, coordinating combat with a possessed fighting eagle. Weapon: Feathers. Magic Artifact: Possessed Spirit Eagle's Heavenly Eye: Capable of piercing low-level illusions.
Hong Ling: A Bone Collector of the Serpent Control lineage. Realm: Bone Immortality, perpetual life. Weapon: Scarlet Serpent. Magic Artifact: Blood Control Needle, which unlocks the Scarlet Serpent, allowing it to transform into an Ancient Qilin.
Shun Yi: Shadow-aligned Death God. Realm: Initial Moving Spirit stage, possesses a single soul clone. Weapon: Shadow. Magic Artifact: Unknown.
Huang Le'er: Of the Earth Royal family, Earth Manipulation lineage. Realm: Royal lineage cultivation; controls cultivation via Sand Golems. Higher cultivation grants control over stronger physical bodies. Weapon: Emerald Spirit Threads. Magic Artifact: Royal Spirit Eye, which can discern the inherent goodness or wickedness in a person's heart.
Qin Ye: Of the Earth Royal family, Holy lineage. Realm: Holy lineage cultivation; utilizes flora and forestry for camouflage and defensive healing. Increased cultivation enhances camouflage and allows for the replenishment of spell Soul Energy. Weapon: Rain-Falling Bell. Magic Artifact: Perception Penetration, capable of discerning the remaining Soul Energy reserves within another entity.
