As the guards moved to apprehend her, Robin merely waved her hand. Letting them go, but how could she control these demonic beasts?
The demonic beasts she released were no ordinary creatures; they had all been modified by Zhong Shenxiu. Their appearance alone was ferociously intimidating, and if they were to unleash their full power, the destructive capability was unimaginable!
The sudden emergence of these few demonic beasts instantly made the already cramped space feel even more suffocatingly tight!
These guards had never imagined Robin would resort to such a maneuver. They recoiled in terror, scrambling backward, yet even that retreat offered no sense of security. Just looking at the ravenous glares fixed upon them by the beasts was enough to confirm their insatiable hunger!
Robin shot these men a look of disdain, then strode confidently toward the food service window. The demonic beasts naturally followed her forward, causing the guards to rapidly clear a path, as if fearing the beasts might pounce if they lagged even a second behind.
These security personnel were not unfamiliar with demonic beasts, but the bizarre creatures Robin had summoned were entirely new to them—and entirely something they had no desire to test the might of!
For a brief moment, the entire cafeteria fell into an unnerving silence!
Never mind the guards frozen in place, afraid to utter a sound; even Betty and Ameryda dared not draw a full breath.
Soon, Robin returned with her meal—a portion equivalent to five adults' worth of food. As she began to devour it without restraint, the demonic beasts settled quietly beside her, though their eyes occasionally flickered toward the guards, as if seeking an opportunity.
Angelia and Xia had long grown accustomed to such displays and showed no reaction, digging into their own food. But Betty and Ameryda were different; they were too terrified even to move, let alone eat, fearful of attracting the slightest attention from the beasts.
"Captain, what should we do?" one guard whispered, leaning toward the leader.
The captain was already agonizing over the situation. What he thought would be a simple task had turned into a nightmare because of this bizarre little girl with so many contracted beasts. If a real fight broke out, they would suffer catastrophic losses!
"F-first... let's pull back!" the captain managed to say, his voice strained. Any action before understanding the opponent's true capabilities was pure recklessness. The immediate priority was to report this situation and then deliberate further!
His suggestion was instantly met with agreement. Without needing further command, the men began to withdraw.
The sheer burst speed of demonic beasts was terrifying. Over such a short distance, anyone could become their next meal. For safety, they needed distance. These guards were not mercenaries; they wouldn't risk their lives to seize someone. Only a fool would volunteer to be the vanguard!
Inside the Faculty Cafeteria, Vice Principal Kekic was dining in a private booth when a sharp knock sounded on the door.
Kekic frowned. Being interrupted during a meal was hardly a good thing!
"Enter!" Kekic stated in a low tone.
A middle-aged man dressed in practical combat gear walked in. He was the academy's Chief of Security.
"What is it?" Seeing who it was, Kekic’s expression darkened further, knowing this man’s visits rarely heralded good news!
The Chief hesitated slightly before relaying the message he had just received.
"What?" Kekic’s eyes shot wide open in disbelief. "You're telling me my daughter has been severely injured?"
The Chief nodded slowly, keenly observing the shifts in Kekic’s expression.
"Crack!" Kekic slammed his chopsticks onto the table, asking with mounting anger, "Who would dare? How is my daughter now? Where is she?"
"She is currently in the infirmary undergoing emergency treatment."
"Emergency treatment?" Kekic could restrain himself no longer and bolted out. He doted on his only daughter, a major reason behind Barbara's own arrogance!
Emerging from the infirmary, Kekic’s face was ashen. He hadn't expected anyone to strike his precious daughter so brutally; her face was so swollen he barely recognized her!
"Where is the culprit? I want to see who has the audacity!" Kekic demanded viciously.
"We have sent people to apprehend them; they should be in the interrogation room by now!" the Chief replied cautiously. He was unaware of the turn of events back in the cafeteria—that the apprehension had failed entirely! As the two neared the interrogation room entrance, a frantic-looking guard rushed toward them.
"Have you found out who they are?" the Chief asked.
"Ch-Chief Captain, the situation has changed!" The guard glanced nervously at Kekic beside him, unsure if he should speak.
"What, they're not talking?" The Chief began to move inside.
"No!" The guard quickly grabbed the Chief’s arm, hesitated, and finally confessed, "Chief Captain, we haven't brought anyone back. They are still eating in the cafeteria."
"What?" Kekic, overhearing this, exploded in fury. "How do you people handle things? Such a major incident occurs, and you haven't even detained them? You let them eat in the cafeteria?"
"What exactly is going on here?" The Chief frowned. Although he wasn't directly under the Vice Principal's authority, offending such a high-ranking official was unwise.
"They are highly unusual. One little girl has several demonic beasts, and they look incredibly fierce. To prevent unnecessary panic and casualties, we merely surrounded the cafeteria and took no aggressive action!" the guard explained quickly.
"You handled that part correctly," the Chief stated his position before pressing further. "What kind of demonic beasts were they, and how many?"
"We don't know what species they are; their appearance is very strange. There were seven in total!"
"Seven?" The Chief looked genuinely shocked. "You mean that one little girl commands seven demonic beasts?"
"Yes!"
"Could she be a 'Beast Tamer'?" The Chief mused. He had only heard of 'Beast Tamers' but had never encountered one personally.
The guard dared not say more, standing silently, awaiting the Chief's decision!
"No matter who they are or how many beasts they possess, they must be captured! Such brazen lawbreakers cannot be allowed to roam free!" Kekic roared from the side. His daughter was injured; he would not rest until these people paid tenfold the price!
The Chief understood that this matter could not be treated lightly. It concerned not only Kekic's daughter but also the reputation of the entire academy. He turned to the guard and commanded, "Go immediately and gather reinforcements." After issuing these orders, the Chief and Kekic headed back toward the cafeteria. Upon arrival, Kekic nearly went mad, roaring without regard for his image, "Where are they? You said they were eating here! There isn't a single shadow left!"
The guards completely ignored him. It was only after the Chief inquired that they learned the group had finished eating and left.
Kekic was so enraged he almost expelled the meal he’d eaten for lunch. If not for considering the strength of these security personnel, he would have slapped every single one. How could they fail to keep track of a few women? What use were these so-called guards!
The Chief was also irritated, thinking to himself, Why are you all so incompetent? How could you let them leave? You should have at least detained them here!
Despite his thoughts, he asked, "Do you know where they went?"
"No!" The guard answered with startling bluntness.
This single sentence nearly sent Kekic into respiratory distress, while the Chief stared blankly at the guard.
"You don't know?" The Chief was about to lose control. Such a critical piece of information, and the answer was 'I don't know.' "Did you not send anyone to follow them?"
"No, they wouldn't let us follow!" the guard replied defensively. He had been there; he had felt the sheer terror. Those demonic beasts were too abnormal; a mere yawn and stretch had melted a stone pillar. If they had truly attacked, not even bone fragments would remain!
Furthermore, they all felt that the little girl was even more terrifying than the beasts. Being looked at by her felt like being gazed upon by the God of Death; their very souls trembled. How could they afford to provoke such abnormal existences? Simply keeping their own lives intact was a victory!
While they had their reasons, Kekic and the Chief could neither know nor truly comprehend that fear without experiencing it firsthand. A glance at the expressions of every guard present was enough to guess that level of terror.
Just then, the guard sent to call for backup arrived, leading a large contingent—over three hundred men.
"Chief Captain, I have brought the men!"
"What good is that now, you useless trash? You let the people slip away! Hurry up and go look for them!" Kekic had completely lost his reason.
And where had Angelfia and the others gone? Not anywhere else—they were heading straight for the Principal's Office!
They needed to process Ameryda’s withdrawal procedures, and the most direct, fastest method was appealing to the Principal. A single seal would finalize everything, saving immense time and effort!
This was Xia’s suggestion; as someone more experienced, she understood these administrative details better.
However, the Principal of a major academy is not someone you can simply see. Their private offices are usually shielded by intricate barriers designed to prevent unnecessary disturbances!
And Robin and her group were now facing exactly that problem! But was it truly a problem for them?
Meanwhile, inside the Principal's Office, a white-haired elder was busy making preparations for the upcoming "Magic Exchange Conference" at "Ivory Castle."
And at that very moment, something happened that made the old man’s heart leap with fright—C
