To all my dear family members, I must apologize.
My little 'mouse' [a term for a mobile device/connection] went down much earlier than expected today.
Who knew that a sudden glitch would rear its head in reality? Luckily, I noticed it in time, otherwise, I might have had to skip a chapter.
Please forgive me; I will be much more careful from now on! —————————————————————————————————————————————— "Be careful, she is very formidable!" Gallib warned, fearing these guards would get hurt.
Yet, these guards paid him no mind at all.
They were still thinking amongst themselves: how powerful could a mere slip of a girl really be? Just as they reached out their hands, still some distance from Robin’s body, something happened that no one present had ever dreamed of.
A dull thud echoed—or rather, several sounds overlapped into one.
Looking again, those guards had vanished without a trace, as if they had never existed.
Everyone froze, eyes wide, searching frantically all around.
Since there were no obstructions, the surroundings were completely visible, yet there was no sign of the guards! It was then that an odd sound seemed to drift down from high above, like something heavy was about to fall.
As the crowd looked up, several dark shapes slammed heavily onto the ground below. "Boom!" stirring up huge clouds of dust.
When the onlookers focused their gaze, it was better if they hadn't looked.
Seeing the figures, they simply stood stock-still on the spot.
Were these not the very guards who had just disappeared? How on earth had they ended up in the sky? The guards were in a truly pathetic state.
All of them were plunged headfirst into that large crater, motionless, their lives hanging in the balance.
Robin stood there quietly, sweeping her gaze across the remaining guards with an air of unsatisfied anticipation, as if asking, "Who's next!" Silence.
It was so quiet you could distinctly hear the sound of the breeze passing by! No one had seen how Robin made her move, not even Nibenzer.
This very fact made the situation even more unsettling! At this point, Gallib was trembling even more violently.
The other guards, adopting a posture of extreme vigilance, took up their fighting stances, yet not a single one dared to step forward! "Who are you two?" After a long silence, Nibenzer suddenly demanded.
As the family head, he had to take charge now.
Although these two children gave him a distinctly dangerous feeling, this was his territory, and he absolutely would not allow anyone to cause trouble here! Furthermore, he had already decided: no matter who these two children were, he would make them pay dearly later.
Even if he didn't kill them, he would certainly strip them bare—this was the principle of "kill one to intimidate a hundred." To manage a family this large required ruthlessness! He needed people to respect him, but more importantly, to fear him.
That was his long-held rule! "Collectors," Zhong Shenxiu replied succinctly, smiling briefly before continuing, "You have someone here named Er'aizhi.
Call him out!" Er'aizhi was the person responsible for the fate of Niuniu's mother! A cold snort escaped Nibenzer’s lips.
This was the first time he’d encountered someone storming in here demanding a person! Zhong Shenxiu knew that mere words wouldn't compel these people to cooperate; some means of persuasion would be necessary! "Hey, old man, are you the one in charge around here?" Zhong Shenxiu asked Nibenzer. "Insolent! Seize them both immediately!" an old man next to Nibenzer shouted.
With the command given, the guards dared not disobey and reluctantly charged forward.
This time, they all unleashed their Dou Qi (Battle Aura) and moved to surround Robin and Zhong Shenxiu, led by the middle-aged man.
Watching these fiercely advancing adults, Robin showed no sign of fear; instead, her eyes shone with excitement.
Having learned from the initial confrontation, Nibenzer observed Robin with extraordinary focus this time.
He desperately wanted to know what method this little girl had used to launch those guards into the air! Just then, Nibenzer felt a momentary blurring of his vision.
The spot where Robin stood had smoothly shifted half a foot; although her posture remained the same, she was clearly no longer standing in the original location! Simultaneously, those encircling guards vanished again into thin air.
After several muffled crashes, their forms were quickly discovered—they had crashed right through the surrounding structures! How could this be? Nibenzer was finally rattled.
He still hadn't seen how Robin had moved, only knowing that she had moved—that was all! This was an astonishing feat.
He was a Sword God, a being whose strength was practically at the apex, yet he couldn't fathom how this little girl had moved.
The shock and impact of this realization were indescribable! Instantly, the entire courtyard fell deathly silent! But that wasn't the most shocking part for the onlookers.
The most astonishing scene followed: Nibenzer, lost in thought, suddenly felt his balance shift, and by the time he realized something was terribly wrong, he was already floating near Robin! At this moment, Robin stared at him coldly with sharp, piercing eyes.
With just a single thought, she could extinguish the life of this Sword God, who was otherwise considered the pinnacle of the world! "What is happening?" This was the first time Nibenzer had encountered anything so bizarre.
He could feel an immense power binding him; if he dared to move even slightly, it would surely provoke that invisible, restrained force! This spectacle appeared to the others as an event of monumental significance! That was their Clan Head, their pillar of strength! If even their pillar could not withstand this, what hope did the rest of them have? At that moment, everyone held their breath.
All they could do was pray that Nibenzer could unleash his supreme might and subdue these two eerie children! However, their dream was destined to remain unfulfilled.
The people capable of subduing Zhong Shenxiu and Robin had probably not even been born yet! It would be a miracle if they weren't the ones subdued by these two! "Old man, don't worry.
In a moment, I think you'll be very willing to cooperate!" Zhong Shenxiu grinned wickedly.
Nibenzer was about to question Zhong Shenxiu's intentions, but he lost the chance.
A wisp of black mist suddenly billowed from Robin's hand, instantly enveloping Nibenzer's body.
And that wasn't the end; the black mist eventually burrowed entirely into Nibenzer’s form.
In an instant, Nibenzer’s body began to change, turning utterly pitch-black—as bizarre as one could imagine! Nibenzer then started convulsing violently, foaming at the mouth, and within just a few seconds, he lay still! Everyone was utterly stunned, as the scene that had just unfolded had completely shattered their perceptions! Now, no one dared to underestimate these two children again.
Robin, with her power, had once more proven that when children got serious, they were unbeatable! Robin then gently placed Nibenzer on the ground.
With a slight flip of her small hand, the black miasma that had been inside Nibenzer’s body emerged, coalescing in the air into a terrifying skull shape that lingered for a long time.
Looking back at Nibenzer on the ground, his skin color was returning to normal, but his face had lost its former healthy flush, replaced instead by a pallor as white as paper! Nibenzer had not lost consciousness throughout this ordeal.
He stared at Robin with eyes filled with utter horror—that look wasn't directed at a person, but at an Asura! Others had only seen him twitching; they couldn't comprehend the torment he had just endured.
It was suffering beyond human capacity.
He now understood perfectly what "a fate worse than death" truly meant.
Just when everyone thought it was over, a ball of green light appeared in Robin’s hand again, enveloping Nibenzer’s body once more.
This time, Nibenzer didn't convulse and foam at the mouth; instead, he rolled on the ground screaming! The sound of his raw, desperate screams was terrifying to the ears of everyone present.
Every single person was trembling now, finding it hard to believe that the man howling in agony on the floor was their usually imposing Clan Head! At this moment, everyone understood one thing: in the face of a demon, a Sword God was no different from a dog! These members of the "Stasi Family" silently watched Robin torment Nibenzer; not a single one dared to step forward to help.
Robin tortured Nibenzer for a full ten minutes before finally stopping.
Robin wasn't entirely heartless, however; she cast a healing spell on Nibenzer, allowing him to regain some vitality.
The rest was simple.
Nibenzer completely shed his dignified pretense as family head and began to cooperate earnestly with Zhong Shenxiu.
Under Nibenzer’s orders, someone went to summon Er'aizhi. "Everyone, stop standing around here.
Let's go inside to talk!" Zhong Shenxiu smiled again.
Though his words were friendly, everyone who heard them shuddered involuntarily! Reluctantly, everyone filed into the living room! Zhong Shenxiu made himself comfortable, sitting down in a chair.
Robin stood quietly beside him, her gaze sharp as she assessed everyone present! A long while passed.
Zhong Shenxiu remained silent, and no one dared to make a sound; the quiet in the room was unnerving! Just then, Er'aizhi was brought in.
He was a somewhat overweight middle-aged man with a vicious expression—clearly the type who was usually arrogant and overbearing. "Greetings, Clan Head!" Er'aizhi approached Nibenzer and bowed, clearly going through the motions.
He was extremely puzzled.
Why was everyone standing while this boy sat? What was the identity of this small boy? And what exactly had happened outside? Why were so many guards lying scattered about? Why had he been suddenly summoned? Was this good news or bad news? Question after question began flooding his mind, yet he failed to notice the cold glint in Robin's eyes! Nibenzer merely glanced at Er'aizhi, then turned back to Zhong Shenxiu and Robin, his expression seeming to convey: I’ve called the man you wanted.
Now, please let us go! Zhong Shenxiu finally dropped his smile, and began questioning Er'aizhi about Niuniu's mother! Er'aizhi looked at the Clan Head, becoming even more perplexed.
Wasn't she just a servant girl? Was it necessary to make such a fuss? Besides, hadn't that matter already passed? Why bring it up now? "Answer truthfully!" Nibenzer didn't want to anger these two little demons further and urged him on.
Er'aizhi dared not disobey, but he said outwardly, "My hand slipped accidentally!" Those few words, seemingly insignificant, instantly ignited Robin's fury! If you wish to know what happens next, please log on to...
