At this moment, a young man sat in the main hall, continuously poring over the thick stack of documents. Beside him, apart from the current head of the family, Laisai Simak’s father, all the elders belonging to Simak’s faction were seated, puffing on cigars with a dull look.

“Patriarch!” A guard rushed in and called out, “There’s a man from Huaxia outside demanding to see you!”

“What? He’s here?” Simak felt a tremor run through him. He immediately stood up and addressed the family elders, “Come, let’s go out and welcome him together!”

These family elders did not possess the arrogant demeanor one might expect; rather, they looked utterly astonished. After all, they had heard the great name of Yang Yi—the godfather whose single action had been enough to turn the underworld of R Country upside down. Thus, without hesitation, they followed Simak out.

Yang Yi and his group waited at the entrance for barely a minute before they saw Simak emerge from the villa, accompanied by five or six middle-aged men.

“My dear Yang, welcome to our home!” Simak started to move forward, intending to embrace Yang Yi, but upon seeing Yang Yi’s visibly unnatural and contemptuous expression, he immediately understood his thoughts. He chuckled awkwardly, “Oh, my apologies, dear Yang. This sort of etiquette isn’t common in Huaxia, is it? Forgive me!”

“Heh, it’s fine, Mr. Simak. But you didn't bring me all the way here just to stand at the doorway, did you?” A demonic curve touched Yang Yi’s lips as he spoke calmly.

“Uh, my apologies. Please, come inside!” Simak offered an apologetic smile and gestured for Yang Yi to enter.

Yang Yi, bringing the Ten Army Generals and the others with him, walked straight into the main hall. Showing no concern for formalities, he immediately settled onto a sofa, his lips twitching slightly as he glanced at the cigars on the table.

One of the Laisai family elders, noticing Yang Yi’s expression, immediately took out a cigar with great deference, offering it to Yang Yi and lighting it for him.

“Hoo-hoo!” Yang Yi took a deep drag of the cigar, glancing at the middle-aged elder with a cold sneer in his heart. If this were in Huaxia, elders of any family would be figures of immense prestige, either holding high power or possessing extraordinary strength. These elders of his Laisai family were the exact opposite.

After exhaling a smoke ring, Yang Yi finally spoke, his tone laced with mockery: “Your patience seems quite impressive. Am I here in Britain just for a holiday?”

Simak’s face froze upon hearing this, then he seemed to grasp something. The familiar feeling of inadequacy washed over him; in Yang Yi’s presence, he couldn’t summon an ounce of authority. He said, “Mr. Yang, thank you for coming to Britain for our family’s sake this time. If not for…”

“Haven’t you understood what I said? My time is extremely precious. If it weren’t for the alliance between your Laisai family and my Black God Gang, do you really think I would travel thousands of miles just to listen to your nonsense?”

“Right!” Simak immediately assented, perfectly understanding Yang Yi’s meaning. Without the slightest hesitation, he decisively picked up a file from the table and handed it to Yang Yi. “Mr. Yang, this is the most complete dossier on our Laisai family, including the detailed information on the forces that have defected!”

The surrounding Laisai elders were inwardly aghast watching their current patriarch show such utter deference to Yang Yi. While they admitted they couldn’t compare to Simak, they had only heard of Yang Yi’s exploits; they had never actually witnessed them. If not for Simak’s profound trust in Yang Yi, and their own lack of ability to challenge him, they would have long since expressed their anger toward Yang Yi.

Yang Yi took the file, glancing through it while asking Simak, “What direct solutions do you have right now?”

“None!” Simak replied flatly.

“Will those defecting forces be making a move tonight?”

“Yes. The two rebellious factions have already joined forces. And they will likely launch a direct attack here tonight, as all the Laisai family’s critical strongholds are concentrated here.”

“Snap!” Yang Yi tossed the file onto the table, a faint smile playing on his lips, and inquired, “How much strength does your Laisai family have left?”

“Not much, only a few thousand men.” Simak glanced at Yang Yi’s placid smile and felt an unexpected wave of calm. He seemed to find this expression better than the somewhat ghostly smile Yang Yi wore moments before.

“It seems the defectors are ultimately still under the thumb of the Mafia,” Yang Yi sneered internally. Only after reviewing the files did he realize the Mafia had been preparing for the Laisai family since the early days, merely delaying the strike.

Yang Yi had initially thought the Mafia still possessed some shred of integrity, but now he thought otherwise, especially since the Mafia had directly pointed their weapons at him. Yang Yi never showed mercy to those who targeted his own interests.

“Do you have any brilliant ideas, Mr. Simak?” Yang Yi looked up at him and asked.

“Alas… Mr. Yang, you understand. The Laisai family’s current situation is precarious. Those rebellious forces will certainly choose to strike proactively tonight. Thus, I have only reinforced defenses here, but I haven't devised a clear countermeasure,” Simak said, feeling somewhat despondent, utterly helpless in the face of the current predicament.

Yang Yi seemed to understand his concerns perfectly. He glanced at his watch, then back at Simak, and smiled, “If I had a brilliant plan, would you be willing to hear it?”

“Please, Mr. Yang, speak plainly!” Simak’s heart lifted upon hearing this, and he quickly inquired.

“The time now is precisely nine o’clock this morning!” Yang Yi stated this single sentence and then stopped, looking at Simak with a smile, as if the meaning was self-evident.

“Nine o’clock?” Simak frowned slightly, the three words flashing repeatedly in his mind. He then looked at Yang Yi’s smiling face; although doubt flickered in his eyes, a moment later, a flash of realization crossed them, and he asked, “ygd!”

“Heh heh, it seems you’ve figured it out!” Yang Yi chuckled, as if Simak’s suddenly excited expression was exactly what he had anticipated.

“However, with the strength my side currently possesses…” Simak still sounded somewhat worried.

Yang Yi pondered for a moment and said, “Don’t worry. Since your Laisai family has helped us so much before, we will certainly help you in return!”

“That would be wonderful! Thank you, Yang!” Simak instantly became overjoyed. “Then how long until we make our move!”

“En,” Yang Yi affirmed, then turned to Long Yi and asked, “How long will it take for the Black God Guards to arrive here?”

“Thirty minutes!” Long Yi responded.

“Good. Immediately summon the first contingent of the Black God Guards here!”

“Yes! Dragon Lord!” Long Yi acknowledged and quickly pulled out his phone to make a call.

Seeing this, Yang Yi turned to Simak and said, “This time, we will be taking the initiative. You should go arrange your men too. Set the time for two o’clock.”

“Excellent!” Simak replied, filled with excitement.

It turned out Yang Yi had already decided against remaining passive. He needed to be proactive, to actively eradicate the forces of the defected Laisai family. Upon learning that those forces intended to attack that evening, Yang Yi reasoned that they would surely be resting during the day. Why not strike them while they were unprepared?

This way, he would not only cut off any interference from the Mafia but also achieve a specific result. “It would be best if the Mafia decided to meddle tonight as well. Heh heh, that would make things even more interesting.” Yang Yi’s thoughts were churning, and the smile on his lips grew increasingly intense.

Not long after, Long Yi hung up the call and reported to Yang Yi, “Dragon Lord, it is arranged. They are rushing here immediately.”

“En,” Yang Yi acknowledged, then glanced at those who had left with Simak to make arrangements. He told the Ten Army Generals, “You all sit for a while longer. It’s going to be a strenuous time soon enough.”

“Yes!” the Ten Army Generals and the others replied.

“Brother Dragon Lord, are you really going to help Simak this much?” Feng Jiu pouted, resting her chin near Yang Yi as she asked.

“Heh heh, allies, of course, we must help,” Yang Yi said with a faint smile.

“But Dragon Lord, won’t those guys cross the bridge and tear it down once they reach the other side?” Long Yi mused.

“I’d give Simak a hundred times the courage, and he still wouldn't dare, unless he wanted the Laisai family wiped off this planet. He absolutely wouldn't dare disobey me. Moreover, the reason I’m choosing to strike preemptively this time is for another objective,” Yang Yi snorted coldly, his tone turning somewhat frigid.

“What objective, Brother Dragon Lord?” Feng Jiu, still clinging affectionately to Yang Yi, held his hand and asked with confusion.

“Ninth Sister!” Long Yi shot her a glare.

Feng Jiu merely stuck her tongue out playfully and fell silent. Seeing this, Yang Yi let out a faint smile, yet it was a somber one. “In truth, this whole affair is purely the Mafia stirring up trouble. So, I need to take this opportunity to strike a preemptive blow against them, letting them know that if they plan to oppose us in the future, they need to carefully measure their strength.”
