And Hades, who had been suspended in mid-air, instantly vanished from everyone's sight. Just as bewilderment gripped the crowd, a piercing dragon's roar erupted and immediately ceased. They quickly turned toward the sound to see a yellow, earth-elemental giant dragon of the Sacred Dragon Clan, from whose neck suddenly burst a spray of golden-yellow blood.
The giant dragon instantly lost all capability, its massive body plummeting uncontrolled toward the ground. Two blue, water-elemental dragons surrounding the yellow one rushed frantically toward their companion—whose fate was unknown—intending to catch it. However, just as they neared the falling yellow dragon, two more equally agonizing dragon roars sounded.
Like the yellow dragon before, two plumes of golden-yellow blood exploded from the necks of the two water-elemental dragons. They immediately lost balance and fell together with the yellow dragon. The other dragons attempting to offer aid were simply too late.
Three tremendous thuds echoed—bang, bang, bang—accompanied by a great cloud of dust. The immense bodies of the three Sacred Dragon Clan dragons crashed solidly into the ranks of the Human Allied Forces below. Within the allied camp, many magicians were present, but they had been entirely stripped of their magical abilities by the domain established by Pluto Hades, rendering them utterly unable to halt the dragons’ descent.
And relying on the warriors to stop the three dragons’ colossal masses was an impossibility. Should these behemoths truly crush them, the Human Allied Forces below would undoubtedly suffer catastrophic casualties.
At this critical juncture.
Beneath the falling forms of the three dragons, a flash of seven-colored magical light suddenly appeared. The dragons’ massive bodies were instantly caught and held aloft by these multicolored rays, slowly descending toward a clearing below.
Simultaneously, a black silhouette enveloped in the shimmering seven-colored light materialized into the sight of the onlookers.
It was Blithe, who had been hidden in the shadows, intervening just in time to avert the imminent disaster.
The very instant Blithe appeared, an exceptionally strange, minute beam of black light struck Blithe’s seven-colored magical shield. Had not Mo Han possessed extraordinarily sharp vision, this slender black beam would have been completely imperceptible.
Under the assault of the black light, Blithe's entire seven-colored magical shield shook violently, then shattered without warning. The black ray followed the rupture in the shield, darting toward Blithe’s body.
In that moment where life hung by a thread.
Blithe’s profound magical cultivation instantly manifested. An even more dazzling seven-colored radiance flared to life, tightly enveloping Blithe’s form once more.
The bizarre black light, having expended significant energy breaking through the first magical barrier, finally dissipated outside the second shield, utterly exhausted.
All of this occurred in a flash. From Blithe's emergence, to the shield’s breach by the eerie black light, and finally to the second shield’s activation neutralizing the black light’s energy—it consumed no more than a few seconds. Any other magician likely wouldn't have reacted in time. Even if Mo Han had perceived it, reacting quickly enough was one thing, but consecutively casting two magical shields in such a short span to nullify the black light’s attack was simply beyond his capability. Only a Dragon Clan member like Blithe, possessing immense innate magical talent, could command such power.
To instantly cast two high-level spells in succession.
"Hmph, not bad skill."
As Blithe successfully neutralized the black light’s incursion, the figure of Pluto Hades reappeared about fifty meters ahead of Blithe.
Hades gazed at Blithe opposite him with a look of surprise, slowly remarking, "I hadn't expected that among the Dragon Clan, someone would utilize the long-lost Ancient Draconic Language Magic to withstand my Undead Black Light. This truly is unexpected."
Blithe stared back at Hades, face impassive, and retorted coldly, "I, too, am surprised that the great Pluto Hades resorts only to the cowardly tactics of ambush. That is indeed unexpected."
Hades, hearing this, showed no sign of anger. Instead, he adopted an unconcerned expression, shaking his head as he said, "In our Underworld, we do not adhere to the many rules you humans observe. In the Netherworld, survival belongs to the strong. As long as you possess the ability to defeat your opponent, you will earn respect. Conversely, even if you perish, you will only earn scorn. Therefore, your previous words are utterly meaningless to me."
"Since our words do not align, there is no need for further discussion. I swear I will kill you and avenge my fallen kin," Blithe stated coldly, fixing his gaze on Hades.
Hades responded with a faint, almost smiling tone, "Although your command of Ancient Draconic Language Magic surprises me, your current strength is far from sufficient to defeat me; that is merely a pipe dream."
Hades paused here, then adopted a tone of playful interest, continuing, "However, since you know Ancient Draconic Language Magic, I shall grant you the courtesy of striking first, ensuring you die with no regrets. Come, Dragon youth. It has been a long time since I encountered a Dragon Clan member who understood Ancient Draconic Language Magic. The current generation of Dragons is truly disappointing. I sincerely hope you do not disappoint me as your kinsmen have."
Saying this, Hades arrogantly clasped his hands behind his back and quietly stared at Blithe, making no move to attack.
Blithe, seeing Hades genuinely yielding the first move, remained expressionless, only stating coldly, "Since you invite death, I shall certainly not be polite."
With that, the magical elements surrounding Blithe’s body began to gather furiously, gradually pushing away the surrounding negative dark magical elements. Even the Anti-Magic Domain set up by the Pluto seemed to have little effect on Blithe.
Hades observed this and found it even more amusing, remarking, "Truly worthy of Ancient Draconic Language Magic; its power is indeed extraordinary. It cannot even prevent the gathering of elemental energy, even within my Anti-Magic Domain. This becomes increasingly interesting. I never imagined there would be a Dragon Clan member of such formidable power on the Dragon Ascendant Continent."
Blithe, however, paid the mockery no mind, focusing instead on continuously accumulating magical energy. As profound and difficult-to-comprehend incantations in the Ancient Draconic Language flowed from Blithe’s lips, the mass gathering around him grew, reaching an astonishing magnitude.
Even the warriors, unfamiliar with magic, could sense the heavy pressure in the air, let alone the magicians whose senses were hyper-attuned to magical currents.
Countless human magicians watched with their mouths agape at the massive sphere of red light forming before Blithe. Even from a distance, these magicians could sense the terrifying energy contained within the orb—an energy potent enough to overturn seas and collapse mountains. A single mountain peak, it seemed, would be leveled by this terrifying magical force, let alone men. This power vastly exceeded the limits of magic graspable by humans; even if these magicians trained for centuries more, they might never reach Blithe’s level. No wonder they were so astonished.
Pluto Hades, meanwhile, still showed no intent to engage, though the black light emanating from his eyes intensified. Around Hades, a black barrier—impenetrable even to light, as seen previously—reformed, enveloping him once more.
From within this barrier came Hades’ voice, filled with keen interest: "Dragon youth, is that all the energy you possess? If this is your only strength, you stand no chance of shattering my Netherworld Aegis. Hurry and reveal all your power. I will only grant you one chance; do not let me down as your kin did."
Judging by Hades' tone, he seemed unsatisfied with the magical prowess Blithe had displayed. As if spurred on, Blithe suddenly spat out a mouthful of golden blood. The red orb, initially several meters wide, erupted with a blinding glare. The entire sphere instantly shrank by nearly half its size, condensing into a red sphere barely a meter across.
Although the orb was significantly smaller than before, the light radiating from it was far more brilliant, causing acute pain to the eyes of everyone present. All could sense the staggering amount of magical energy contained within that reduced red sphere.
