The instructor followed Wayne's pointed finger, seeing only two idle children in the distance and no one else. A strange confusion settled in his mind about where Wayne's homeroom teacher was, prompting him to ask again, "Where did you say they were?"

"Right there!" Wayne thought, utterly baffled. Those two fully grown people were standing right there; how could someone not see them? What kind of eyesight was that?

The instructor grew increasingly perplexed. If it weren't for Wayne's earnest expression, he might have suspected the boy was playing a trick on him.

It was then that the girls' keen observation skills came into play. Daisy, the class vice-monitor, realized the instructor must have misunderstood something. She quickly whispered, "Instructor, those two over there—they are our homeroom teachers!"

"What?"

Logically, these military personnel should possess excellent psychological fortitude, yet all four instructors gasped simultaneously.

"You... you're saying those two children are your homeroom teachers?"

Daisy nodded, daring not to directly refer to Zhong Shenxiu and Robin as mere "children."

The four instructors froze for another moment, then burst into spontaneous laughter. They all assumed this was some new policy enacted by the academy to ensure these privileged students could graduate easily—a way to attract outside attention while saving significant expense. Perhaps these two children were the offspring of some school leader.

Suppressing their chuckles, one instructor said, "Go fetch your homeroom teachers!"

Daisy shivered, genuinely afraid to summon Zhong Shenxiu and Robin. Wade, standing nearby, quickly volunteered, "I'll go!" He knew everyone feared Zhong Shenxiu and Robin, so he was the most suitable person to fetch them, especially since he expected to be working for Zhong Shenxiu in the future and would inevitably interact with him often.

"Mm!" Daisy shot Wade a grateful look.

Wade ran over, but soon returned, jogging back just as quickly.

The instructors looked surprised. "Why aren't they coming?"

Wade's expression was hesitant, and after a long pause, he mumbled, "Our teacher said if you have business, you should come find him yourselves!"

Damn, that's arrogant?

The four instructors exchanged glances. None of them took Zhong Shenxiu and Robin seriously, and none moved to approach them.

Under normal regulations, the student class homeroom teacher was supposed to accompany the group—first, to assist with unexpected incidents, and second, to help maintain order! However, the treatment for teachers and students differed vastly. Students faced grueling trials, while the accompanying teacher merely needed to find a cool spot to observe. Moreover, this specific regulation forbade students from bringing food, or even water, as the primary goal was training their wilderness survival skills. Teachers, however, faced no such restrictions; they could bring anything, even an entire kitchen, and no one would object.

That was the disparity!

At this moment, other classes had already begun setting off, all on foot—a form of training in itself! Class after class moved out. Only the 'Fat Class' remained in stalemate.

"What's happening?" The squad leader, the soldier who had spoken earlier, approached.

"Captain, this class's homeroom teacher is a bit unusual!" one instructor admitted, looking troubled. What truly complicated matters was whether they should bring Zhong Shenxiu and Robin along. A typical teacher's presence was helpful, but these two children, if they accompanied them, wouldn't help; they'd become a burden requiring constant care. What if a wolf snatched them away? That would be even more troublesome!

"How unusual? Didn't they show up?" The Captain shared the same concern.

"No, sir. This class's homeroom teachers are two children!"

"Children?"

"The two over there!" The instructor pointed in the direction of Zhong Shenxiu and Robin.

"You mean those two?" The Captain's eyes widened. This was the strangest thing he had ever heard.

"Yes, sir, that's what these students said!" Wayne and the others nodded vigorously when looked at, their expressions seeming to say: They really are our teachers, believe it or not!

"Wait here a moment!" The Captain declared before leaving. He wasn't going to find Zhong Shenxiu but rather sought out the school administrators to inquire about the situation.

It wasn't long before he returned, his face sporting a peculiar expression. He scrutinized Zhong Shenxiu and Robin carefully, his gaze filled with palpable confusion.

"Captain, what should we do?" one instructor couldn't help but ask.

"You all proceed with these students first. As for those two over there, you don't need to worry about them. This class is small; the four of you can manage them, can't you?" The Captain had intended to say 'two children' but abruptly changed his wording.

"Yes, sir!" The four instructors snapped to attention and saluted before leading the students away.

Wayne and the others walked on, casting glances back at Zhong Shenxiu and Robin, their faces seeming to convey: Teacher Zhong, we're leaving! Really leaving!

Zhong Shenxiu made no move to stop them or follow. A playful smirk touched his lips as a phrase echoed in his mind: To the Wet Forest? Could it be something to do with that thing? Regarding the "Wet Forest," Zhong Shenxiu felt no apprehension; several of his factory bases were established there!

Whether by coincidence or design, the new student military training for the "Diligan Magic Academy" was also headed to the periphery of the "Wet Forest." Fortunately, the "Wet Forest" was vast; even if they were all on the outer edges, they might not run into each other.

Upon arrival at the destination, some of the better-conditioned freshmen felt fine, still energetic. But those lacking regular exercise were drastically different—nearly collapsing from exhaustion!

"Hey, how are you so energized? Logically, your stamina should be similar to mine!" one student asked another.

"You wouldn't know. I have a secret weapon!"

"What secret weapon?" The inquirer became interested.

"I can tell you, but you have to promise to keep it secret!"

"Deal, hurry up! Don't keep me in suspense!" the others urged.

"Look what I have!" The student pulled out a vial from his magic ring, marked with a distinctive sigil. This symbol was becoming increasingly recognized—it was the crest of the "Klaoper Family!"

"What is that? Weren't we forbidden from bringing water?" the students asked, confused.

"Shh, keep your voice down. This isn't water; this is 'Stamina Recovery Potion' that my dad bought at a high price earlier!" He glanced around, ensuring no one noticed them, then whispered, "This is a product of the 'Dark Guild'! I don't tell just anyone!"

"The Dark Guild? That name sounds familiar, I think I heard it somewhere!"

"Heavens, you haven't even heard of the 'Dark Guild'? That's the hottest, most powerful guild right now!" He then steered the conversation entirely toward the "Dark Guild."

At the same time, in another location, two other students were having a clandestine conversation.

"Hey, do you think a large number of magical beasts might suddenly jump out here? I heard they eat people!" A girl nervously scanned the surroundings.

"Relax, don't we have instructors protecting us nearby?" Another girl seemed much more cheerful.

"But what if something sudden happens and the instructors can't look after us?"

"Don't be afraid. If necessary, I'll protect you!"

"You? Your strength is about the same as mine, and I heard the magical beasts here are really fierce!"

"Hehe, I came prepared, so you don't need to worry!" The girl smiled. Seeing her reassurance wasn't having much effect, she changed her tone to a serious one, "I'll show you a few things, but you must keep this a secret!"

"What things?"

"Look what I have!" As she spoke, she pulled several scrolls from her magic ring.

"This... this is?"

"You should have heard of the 'Dark Guild,' right? It's very popular recently. These are their products!"

"No way!" The other girl indeed looked astonished.

"Hehe, I had to nag my dad for ages before he'd give them to me. Here, take one. Don't use it unless it's an absolute last resort!" This girl was quite generous, handing a scroll over immediately.

Trembling, the recipient took it, her eyes wide, as if she couldn't believe it was real! After a long moment, she breathed, "My dad said it's not easy to buy things from the 'Dark Guild.' He tried to go but couldn't get in. But I heard they have the best stuff!"

"Yeah, actually, my dad has lots of better things, but he's too stingy to give them to me!" The girl pouted symbolically.

After a brief rest, the instructors began teaching the freshmen how to build lean-tos.

"Hurry up, everyone! If you don't want to sleep out in the wilderness, get moving! You can help each other, and it will be faster!" The instructors were already shouting. For these freshmen, the military training had truly begun!

Speaking of building shelters, this was no challenge for Reese and Angelia. They had done this many times before and had long since mastered the essentials. Because Reese and Angelia were in the same class, their cooperation sped up the process immensely. While others were busy designing their little nests, the two had already finished constructing their respective huts!

"Well done. Everyone, take these two classmates as examples!" an instructor praised as he walked over. Angelia showed no reaction, but Reese managed an awkward smile.

As night gradually deepened, Angelia and Reese were helping other classmates build their shelters when a voice suddenly sounded beside their ears, causing their bodies to tremble!

"The owner is here?" Reese looked dumbly at Angelia, while Angelia surveyed their surroundings.

The arrival of Zhong Shenxiu and Robin seemed poised to make this military drill significantly more complicated! If you wish to know what happens next, please log in for more chapters, support the author, and read the authorized version!
