Lian Der was extremely skeptical of what Zhong Shenxiu had said, but at this point, he had no choice but to follow through!
After considerable effort, he managed to gather all the parents in one very large "amphitheater classroom," and then Lian Der rushed off in a frenzy to fetch Zhong Shenxiu!
Zhong Shenxiu remained utterly composed; even the moment he walked into the classroom, his expression hadn't shifted in the slightest!
Lian Der had intended to follow in to see how Zhong Shenxiu would calm these parents down. However, he was stopped at the door by Caine.
"Mr. Lian Der, you should wait out here. It won't take very long!" Caine smiled, but the door was already shutting him out.
Lian Der had no recourse. At this critical juncture, he certainly dared not anger Zhong Shenxiu and his companions! He would just have to endure it. What terrible luck he had!
Fortunately, he wasn't kept waiting long—only about half an hour—when the door opened, and Zhong Shenxiu emerged looking completely unruffled.
Lian Der immediately stepped forward, about to inquire how things had gone, but Zhong Shenxiu cut him off.
"You can relax. The matter is resolved!" With that, Zhong Shenxiu turned his back and left with Robin and Caine in tow.
Lian Der stood there foolishly stunned, finding it hard to believe Zhong Shenxiu’s claim—that such a critical issue had been settled so quickly? He glanced back, suddenly noticing something amiss. Where were all the parents?
Did his resolution mean...
Lian Der’s heart jumped, and he rushed to the doorway. Peering inside, he was relieved to see that everyone was still alive. But then he quickly noticed the strangeness: why were every single one of those parents ashen-faced and trembling uncontrollably?
What on earth had happened in there?
Regarding these lingering questions, even if Lian Der had asked the parents, they likely wouldn't have answered. This event had become a secret sealed between them and Zhong Shenxiu!
Yet, just as Zhong Shenxiu had promised, these parents truly stopped causing trouble. Once they confirmed their children were out of danger, they simply left, not one of them suggesting they take their children home, nor did a single one mention "transferring schools or changing classes"!
This outcome astonished even the school administrators. In all their years of teaching, they had never witnessed anything so bizarre! Involuntarily, a sliver of curiosity and respect began to bloom toward Zhong Shenxiu!
This single day was enough to prove Zhong Shenxiu’s capability. First, the fact that he could single-handedly subdue so many students demonstrated his formidable strength. Next, his ability to make those influential parents depart obediently showcased his mysterious power!
The administrators had initially planned to immediately promote Zhong Shenxiu to head teacher of a higher-grade class, but considering the potential resentment from other teachers and their concern that Zhong Shenxiu might resort to violence again, they decided to table the proposal for now, planning to reassess in a month or two!
Because this "bloody incident" was resolved promptly, coupled with the academy's deliberate containment of the news, the affair was not widely publicized. Although rumors occasionally circulated, others dismissed them as jokes and didn't take them seriously; it was expected that within a few days, no one would mention it again!
Over the next two days, other classes formally began their lessons, but Class 1-D was occupied with self-study periods. Firstly, the injured students had not yet recovered, and secondly, Zhong Shenxiu certainly wasn't going to waste his time teaching them every day!
Wayne and the others were perfectly content with this arrangement. They wished Zhong Shenxiu would never show up, allowing them to relax and chat amongst themselves. Otherwise, with him present, they likely wouldn't dare even take a full breath!
"Vader, I saw a few people crowding around you today. Who were they?" the vice-class monitor, Daisy, asked curiously. She had accidentally glimpsed Vader being surrounded by several ill-intentioned individuals earlier, looking as if they were bullying him.
Vader flinched, his expression immediately clouding over. He forced a smile. "N-Nothing!"
Vader had been appointed the class's Welfare Officer by Zhong Shenxiu. He was a quiet person but diligent; he had been responsible for cleaning the classroom these past few days, showing none of the airs of a pampered noble scion!
"Vader, if something’s bothering you, tell us. We’re all friends now, and we’ll certainly help you!" Paul noticed Vader's change in demeanor and knew something was up.
Though they had only known each other for a few days, having endured hardship together, surviving the ordeal, and all being class officers, they had already forged a bond!
These few who hadn't been beaten down by Robin weren't bad sorts. Despite being coddled and possessing minor flaws, they were generally easygoing, loyal, and certainly not prone to plotting deceit!
"Yes, I clearly saw those people ganging up on Vader because there were too many of them!" Daisy chimed in.
"Which bastards were they? Are they taking advantage because our class is small?" Wayne declared, adopting an air of righteous indignation.
"R-Really, it’s nothing!" Vader hurried to insist.
Seeing that Vader genuinely wasn't going to speak about it, the others dropped the subject and changed the topic!
The bell rang soon after, signaling the end of the period. Their Teacher Zhong had still not arrived!
"Vader, come on, let’s go eat together. If we’re late, we won’t get the good spots!" Paul suggested.
A look of hesitation crossed Vader’s face. This was the fourth time Paul had invited him; the previous times he had used various excuses to politely decline.
"Yeah, we brothers need you!" Wayne added his invitation.
Looking at their sincere eyes, Vader finally nodded in agreement, secretly praying that those people wouldn't come looking for trouble again!
They shouldn't have arrived too late, but when they reached the cafeteria, they still had to join a long queue.
While the cafeteria was vast, it couldn't cope with the sheer number of people. However, one positive aspect was that it offered various culinary flavors, with a dedicated serving window for each style, allowing students to choose according to their preferences.
After securing a table, Wayne and the others headed to different windows to collect their food. Vader hung back, looking hesitant and constantly glancing around, as if on guard for something, but he eventually went to get his meal too.
Because Wayne and the others had gone early, they returned quickly and were already well into their meal when Vader carefully approached with his tray.
"Vader, you’re the last one!" Paul called out.
As Vader took a couple of quick steps forward, someone deliberately tripped him. He immediately lost his balance, and the food flew out of his grasp, crashing down.
"Oh, my, my, my apologies. I didn't realize our Young Master Vader was dining here as well!" a voice suddenly cut through the air.
