"Blast off!" Zhong Shenxiu retained the same tone from before the well, speaking only a single word.
However, things were undeniably different from how they had been initially. Norton and the others had already witnessed Robin's terrifying strength and ruthlessness; now, they didn't dare utter a peep, hurrying to move aside, afraid that if they were too slow, they would be the next targets of abuse.
"Sis... Sister, we're heading back now!" Although Norton tried desperately to keep his composure, he couldn't control his mouth, and his voice still carried a slight stammer.
"Mm." Cherry didn't say much, merely nodding. To be frank, she too had been stunned by Robin's performance just moments ago. Only now did she realize that compared to that display, Robin had been remarkably restrained when she had previously dealt with them! Laurent had been so badly beaten by Robin that he couldn't move for days; who knew how long that arrogant young lady would need to recover!
As for the slightly overweight hotel owner, though he hadn't witnessed the entire sequence, Robin's final actions had left him frozen in place. His eyes stared blankly at Zhong Shenxiu and the others. No words could describe his current state of mind. And the several responsible parties who had followed him were shocked even more profoundly than he was!
Moving on to Norton's retreating group, once they had cleared the "Tianxing Hotel," every one of them felt an overwhelming sense of having narrowly escaped death.
After walking a considerable distance and confirming they were far from the "Tianxing Hotel," Brandt finally sighed softly, "That was utterly terrifying."
What the others were thinking was no different!
"Norton, I finally understand why you warned us so urgently. I confess I thought you were overreacting before. I truly apologize!" Edgar said with genuine sincerity.
Norton merely offered an awkward smile. In truth, Robin’s display had shocked him immensely as well. How he wished he could say those exact words to his own sister!
"I still can't figure out how that little girl named Robin managed it. Were her techniques too strange, or was her speed just too fast?" Brandt inquired.
But his question was futile, as none of the others had any answers either.
"I'm actually curious now—if that little girl is that formidable, what about the little boy? Is he equally monstrous?" Isaac suddenly asked after a long silence.
The others unanimously shot him dirty looks, as if despising Isaac for inviting disaster.
At this point, Brandt interjected, "Isaac, didn't you say you wanted to test the strength of those two children? Why the sudden silence just now? Since you’re so curious about the little boy, why don't you go test him later? We will absolutely support you wholeheartedly!"
Hearing this, Isaac shivered. The memory of that arrogant young lady’s fate sent a chill down his spine.
Seeing that Isaac was no longer showing off, the others exchanged knowing smiles, yet none dared to test those two children further. Perhaps from this moment on, whenever they saw Zhong Shenxiu and Robin, they would simply walk the other way!
Time ticked by slowly, and Zhong Shenxiu’s group was nearly done eating!
It was actually just Zhong Shenxiu, Robin, and Canny eating; everyone else had long since lost their appetites, watching the three "monsters" with peculiar gazes.
"Boss, could you bring us the bill, please!" Canny called out gently toward the group still frozen in the distance.
"Th-this meal is on the house. It’s complimentary!" the middle-aged man rushed to say.
He dared not approach now; what if he ended up frozen into ice too? It was just one meal; better to see these distinguished ladies out quickly!
Canny paused, glancing at Zhong Shenxiu. Seeing him already standing up, she understood immediately. She quickly called out to the middle-aged man again, "Then thank you very much."
With that, the group actually left just like that! Unexpectedly, this meal had turned into a small windfall—ten thousand Diamond Coins could buy so many things!
Yet, Zhong Shenxiu didn't realize that another great harvest awaited him.
.
Standing before the entrance of Cherry's home were two old men. These two were none other than the President and Vice President of the "Undead Association," Stanley and Faraday!
After being informed that Zhong Shenxiu, Robin, and the others had left, they waited outside the gate, having already been waiting for over half an hour.
They hadn't come for trivial reasons; first, to deliver the money for the potions they had purchased to Zhong Shenxiu, and second, to discuss some thoughts brewing in their minds.
"Norton, look! Why are there two old men standing at your front door?"
Just then, a young man’s surprised voice drifted over from afar.
Stanley and Faraday turned to look and saw a group of teenagers walking slowly toward them. The only regret the two felt was that their Elder was not among them!
Norton certainly saw Stanley and Faraday, finding it very strange, as he had never met these two before, and they certainly weren't his father's friends, or they wouldn't be waiting outside.
Out of curiosity, Norton scrutinized them from head to toe. The only thing that struck him as odd was the clothing of these two elders—they were both clad in black robes intricately embroidered with strange symbols, which involuntarily reminded him of "Mage Lord Lu Ling."
However, these two elders were clearly not of that affiliation, as neither concealed their faces; both had streaked white hair and faces etched with wrinkles.
Who could they be?
"Norton, judging by their appearance, they seem to be waiting for someone, don't you think?" Mars asked calmly. It seemed his perception was quite sharp.
Norton didn't reply, as they had already approached the two elders. Whatever these two were doing, they could simply ask once they were closer.
"Excuse me, what are you two doing at my doorstep?" Norton's tone was reasonably friendly.
"We are waiting for someone," Faraday replied just as politely. Zhong Shenxiu had given them this address; unsure of the relationship between him and the homeowners, both men were being very cautious.
"Are you waiting for my father?" Norton tested, as neither he nor his sister could possibly know such old acquaintances.
Stanley shook his head, unsure how to answer, but fortunately, Faraday spoke up, "We are waiting for Robin." He was acquainted with Robin from before; although Robin was now their Elder, using her name was still permissible!
When Norton's group heard the name "Robin," their expressions froze. They had grown extremely sensitive to those two words!
"What are you looking for Robin for?" Norton asked again out of curiosity.
"Some private matters," Faraday answered vaguely.
"Surely they haven't tracked us down this quickly?" Isaac muttered under his breath, assuming Stanley and Faraday were here seeking vengeance for Loris!
He wasn't the only one with this thought. A similar notion crossed Norton’s mind, but he quickly dismissed it. If they were here for revenge, they wouldn't be waiting so patiently, nor would they be speaking so courteously to them!
Norton desperately wanted to ask what private matters they had with Robin, but he possessed enough self-awareness to know it would be fruitless, so he swallowed the words he was about to speak.
"Would the two of you like to wait inside?" Norton kindly offered.
"Thank you, we are fine waiting out here!" Faraday replied with a grateful smile.
Norton said no more and entered the gate, still harboring doubts. Brandt and the others, after giving Faraday and Stanley a few scrutinizing glances, followed him inside. The events of the day were proving too much for them to process; they just needed a quiet place to settle down.
About a quarter of an hour after Norton’s group went in, Zhong Shenxiu’s party walked back into view from a distance.
"It's the Elder!" Stanley spotted them first and exclaimed.
Faraday noticed them immediately and urged, "Let's go, quickly!"
As they approached, Charlotte and the others also spotted the two men and looked somewhat puzzled.
"Sister Charlotte, those two seem to be coming towards us," Rhys remarked, surprised.
Charlotte merely nodded without speaking.
Just then, Stanley and Faraday stopped before the group, their faces alight with agitation.
Because outsiders were present, they couldn't address Zhong Shenxiu directly as Elder.
"What is it?" Zhong Shenxiu asked casually, showing no hint of surprise.
Faraday hesitated, glancing again at Charlotte and the others nearby, and vaguely stated, "The items have been sold!"
So quickly? Zhong Shenxiu was momentarily taken aback. He then looked at Stanley and Faraday, seeing their expression suggesting they had matters they couldn't discuss openly. "Follow me!"
The group passed through the corridor and went directly to the "Fengshao Courtyard." Stanley and Faraday were led straight into the room by Zhong Shenxiu.
This time, Canny stayed outside with Charlotte and the others.
"Sister Canny, who are those two old men?" Cherry asked, intensely curious, occasionally glancing toward Zhong Shenxiu's door, as if trying to peer through the crack.
"A secret!" Canny rarely refused to answer directly.
"Just a tiny hint, only one little hint!" Cherry tugged Canny's arm and pouted playfully.
Canny smiled and said, "Then I'll give you a clue."
"What clue?" Cherry eagerly asked, while Charlotte and the others pricked up their ears.
"Didn't you notice the clothing of those two old men?" Canny smiled again, but this time with a mysterious air.
"The clothes?" The group paused, then began trying to recall the attire worn by Stanley and Faraday.
"Ah!" A gasp escaped Charlotte's lips. She stared at Canny with shock, clearly having guessed something.
The others were instantly drawn by her outcry and looked at her.
Charlotte uttered something in a dazed manner that Angellica and the rest couldn't comprehend: "This... this can't be possible?"
