Faraday froze when he heard Kaini’s words. Jiang immediately turned to face the four guests, bewildered.

Right, how could I forget Robin! If Robin became an Elder, given their past friendship, he certainly wouldn't stand by when their 'Undead Association' faced a crisis. How could I be so foolish as to forget Robin!

“Yes, Robin can be an Elder of our ‘Undead Association,’ no problem. I was actually planning to bring that up!” Faraday said, his expression unwavering and his heart beating steadily.

“I accept your proposal!” Zhong Shenxiu’s words were sweeter than the sound of heavenly music to Faraday.

“Th-that’s wonderful! I’ll go fetch the Elder’s token right now!” Faraday said, already pushing himself to his feet. Just then, the door opened, and Stanley walked in, holding two certificates the size of a palm.

Stanley didn't speak, merely giving Faraday a look that seemed to ask: How did things go?

Faraday understood immediately and returned a look that meant: Everything’s settled!

Stanley was ecstatic and broke into a silly grin. But Faraday didn't want to keep Zhong Shenxiu waiting too long, so he quickly shot him a meaningful glance.

Stanley snapped back to attention and turned to Zhong Shenxiu and Robin. “Master, these are your ‘Apprentice Necromancer Certificates.’”

With that, he respectfully handed over the certificates in his hands.

Zhong Shenxiu took them casually, glanced over them twice, and then handed both certificates to Robin for safekeeping.

Faraday had already stepped out. Stanley, unwilling to let the atmosphere become too heavy, began making small talk to himself.

Fortunately, Faraday returned shortly, carrying a stack of documents in his left hand and two crescent-shaped black tokens in his right.

“Master, these are your and Robin’s tokens, and please sign this contract.”

Faraday said this while presenting the items.

Zhong Shenxiu examined the contents of the documents. Finding nothing amiss, he and Robin signed them. With that, Zhong Shenxiu and Robin officially became Elders of the “Undead Association!”

Seeing that the three of them were preparing to leave, Faraday quickly asked with nervous urgency, “Elders, if I receive instructions from above, how should I notify you?” He was asking for Zhong Shenxiu's address.

Stanley, not understanding what Faraday was implying, stared at them with a pair of confused eyes.

Zhong Shenxiu paused, glanced at Faraday, and then said faintly, “I will return in three days!”

This sentence carried an unspoken meaning: You only have three days; after that, don't bother!

Faraday wasn't stupid; he understood the implication and hurriedly replied, “Elder, rest assured, I will resolve this matter as quickly as possible!”

Finally, escorted personally by the acting President, Zhong Shenxiu and the two others departed.

Staring at the retreating figures until they vanished, Faraday finally dared to release his surging emotions. He grabbed Stanley’s hand and shook it vigorously without saying a word.

Faraday’s behavior thoroughly bewildered Stanley. If he hadn't known Faraday's character, he might have thought his friend was having a fit.

“Faraday, what did you say to the Elder in the end? I didn't understand,” Stanley asked, deeply curious.

“Stanley, do you realize that soon, we Necromancers will be able to walk freely under the sun? And the Elder also said he could restore our appearances!” Faraday’s excitement not only didn't lessen but seemed to intensify.

If he hadn't witnessed Robin’s transformation firsthand, Faraday wouldn't have dared to believe that Zhong Shenxiu could accomplish such a thing. Now, he was filled with anticipation for the future. Since becoming a ‘Necromancer,’ he had never felt as happy or thrilled as he did today!

Though still a bit muddled, Stanley grasped the significance of the news and unexpectedly began to share Faraday’s excitement.

.

Meanwhile, Zhong Shenxiu was in an excellent mood.

He hadn't expected that simply visiting out of curiosity would result in not only receiving an “Apprentice Necromancer Certificate” but also becoming an Elder of the “Undead Association”—it was like pie falling from the sky.

Of course, Kaini played a significant role. Without her assistance in inquiring, Zhong Shenxiu wouldn't have developed an interest, leading to this string of benefits.

What occupied Zhong Shenxiu’s mind now was the matter of the “Profit Sharing”!

If he could secure a certain stake in the “Undead Association,” his income would flow endlessly even if he did nothing else in the future. Zhong Shenxiu had great confidence in himself, firmly believing that the two conditions he proposed were irresistible to the current ‘Necromancers.’ The only uncertainty was how large his share would ultimately be.

With Zhong Shenxiu’s current strength, he could achieve both of those effects. Which method to choose would depend on the answer Faraday provided in three days!

The direction Zhong Shenxiu and his group were heading now was not toward Chexin’s house, but naturally toward the “Mage Association.”

Zhong Shenxiu's idea was simple: since they were already out, they might as well get their “Magic Certificates” appraised. It might prove useful sometime later!

This time, unlike at the “Undead Association,” only Zhong Shenxiu and Robin were assessed, and they only sought the lowest-level certificate: the “Apprentice Mage Certificate”!

On this note, it should be clarified that Mages are ranked from lowest to highest as follows: Apprentice Mage, Intern Mage, High Mage, Magister, Grand Magister, Saint Magister, and Divine Magister.

With the current abilities of Zhong Shenxiu and Robin, obtaining a certificate was akin to child's play.

What differed from the Necromancer assessment was that Mage certification required specialization by element. Besides “Spatial Magic” and “Lightning Magic,” Zhong Shenxiu and Robin had themselves tested in all other elemental disciplines.

Conventionally, the results would be consolidated onto a single certificate, but this was not a rigid rule. At Zhong Shenxiu’s request, he and Robin each received five “Apprentice Mage Certificates”—one for Light, Wind, Earth, Water, and Fire elements!

Afterward, as if addicted to the process, Zhong Shenxiu and Robin went for a “Swordsman Appraisal,” resulting in both of them acquiring an “Apprentice Swordsman Certificate” as well!

Along the way, Kaini kept smiling, feeling that Zhong Shenxiu and Robin’s actions weren't just for future convenience in their endeavors, but more like they were enjoying the sheer fun of it!

.

Meanwhile, Norman, while daring not to follow Zhong Shenxiu’s party anymore, had not lost his curiosity. He grew increasingly eager to know exactly who these people were, why their movements were so secretive, and how that little girl had vanished into thin air.

Norman paused for a quiet moment and thought that Thomas should know some inside details about this matter. At the very least, he met with Cheri frequently, and Cheri often told him many things.

Norman was not unfamiliar with Thomas; their families had lived near each other for a long time. Thomas often came over to play when they were children, and they were extremely familiar, though they had met less often in recent years because they attended different academies. This, however, hadn't affected their friendship.

Having made up his mind, Norman headed toward Thomas’s house to find him. Coincidentally, before he even stepped out of the gates of the “Home-Stuck Magic and Martial Arts Academy,” he saw Thomas from afar, talking with two others of similar height.

Norman’s face brightened, and he quickly chased after them, calling out, “Thomas!”

Thomas stopped abruptly when he heard the voice. Seeing that it was Norman, he showed a slight hesitation, clearly not expecting to run into him there.

“What a coincidence, I was just about to look for you!” Norman reached Thomas’s side and then glanced at Laurent and Solomon beside him.

“Brother Norman, why are you here?” Thomas asked, still curious, then added, “Let me introduce you—”

“We might have met once before,” Norman said to Laurent. That time, Elina had brought Laurent to see Cheri; it had only been a brief encounter, and they hadn't exchanged many words.

“Hello!” Laurent smiled courteously.

After a brief exchange of pleasantries, Norman got straight to the point. “Thomas, I need to ask you something. Do you know anything about two children—a little girl and a little boy?”

As he spoke, Norman stared intently at Thomas.

Upon hearing this question, all three of them—Thomas and the others—felt a jolt, as two figures that made their blood run cold flashed across all three of their minds.

“Brother Norman, wh-who are you talking about?” Thomas asked, afraid of being misunderstood.

“I’m not entirely sure either. Yesterday, Cheri brought back several strangers to stay at my place, including those two children. I asked Cheri, but she didn't intend to tell me the truth. I wanted to hear your opinion—do you know who they are?” Norman looked directly at Thomas, then seemed to recall something and added, “Oh, Cheri mentioned that the little girl might be called Robin.”

At this, the three of them froze completely. They had just been discussing this very matter, and they hadn't expected Zhong Shenxiu and his group to be staying at Cheri’s house!

“Brother Norman, d-did nothing happen?” Thomas asked with a tense expression.

Norman felt confused by the sudden nervousness of the three, not understanding why they were suddenly so tense.

“Nothing much happened, except I had a slight conflict with that little girl named Robin!”

“WHAT???”

The three shouted in unison, their eyes wider than the last! If you wish to know what happens next, please visit [URL/Chapter Link] for more chapters, support the author, and read the genuine version!
