"Sister Jiang, you're just in time! I was just about to look for you!" Nuowen perched on the edge of the chair.

"Second Brother, what did you need me for?" Qieli asked, quite perplexed.

Her second brother studied in the "Capital City," only returning during breaks, meaning they hadn't seen each other for half a year. Even if they didn't have much in common, Qieli still sought out Nuowen often.

"Little Sister, there's something I need to ask you!" Nuowen appeared impatient. "Who is that little girl inside the 'Fengshao Court'?"

No sooner had the question left his lips than Qiehe let out a gasp, looking at Nuowen with an expression of utter strangeness, stammering out, "Second Brother, you... you haven't been to the 'Fengshao Court,' have you?"

Nuowen nodded, genuinely unable to comprehend why Qiehe was so agitated.

"N-nothing bad happened, did it?" Qiefei showed another flicker of intense nervousness, her eyes fixed on Nuowen as if trying to read something directly from his face.

"There was a slight altercation," Nuowen admitted, unwilling to hide anything since he needed to know the whole story.

"What?" Qieli’s eyes widened, her tone laced with accusation. "Second Brother, didn't I specifically tell you not to go to the 'Fengshao Court'? And I told you not to provoke those two children! You... how could you...?"

Perhaps from excitement, Qieli couldn't finish her sentence. She had witnessed Robin's power firsthand, knowing that entity was on a completely different, abnormal level. While her second brother studied in the "Capital City" and was quite capable, compared to Robin, he was merely a soft dough that could be squeezed however desired!

"Little Sister, I think that little girl is extraordinary. Who exactly is she, and how do you know her?" Nuowen’s expression had turned serious now.

Qieli suddenly felt an urge to scream. In her eyes, Robin wasn't just 'extraordinary'; that child was barely human!

"Little Sister, why aren't you speaking?" Nuowen asked Qieli, who was staring blankly.

At his prompting, Qieli took a long moment before replying, "Second Brother, you... you are incredibly lucky!"

"What?" This time it was Nuowen's turn to be stunned. He truly couldn't decipher the meaning behind Qieli’s words.

As if sensing his confusion, Qiehe took several deep breaths, then explained with solemn gravity, "Second Brother, it is sheer luck that you are able to stand here and talk to me right now. Do you know why? As far as I know, every single person who has clashed with Robin ended up brutally beaten! Do you know Laurent? The one who visited us with Teacher Aelina last time? Robin thrashed him so badly he needed days of healing just to be able to walk again!"

Yet, upon hearing Qieli’s narrative, Nuowen actually chuckled. He knew Laurent’s strength—at best, a Gold Swordsman—and he believed he could still beat Laurent badly enough to keep him confined to bed for several days with his own power!

"Second Brother, how did you have an altercation with Robin?" Qieli suddenly became interested, turning the question back on him.

She genuinely wanted to know how her second brother had stumbled into such terrible luck and emerged unscathed. It was unbelievable, and she desperately needed to know how he had managed to escape Robin's little clutches!

"You said that little girl is named Robin?" Nuowen had learned to counter a question with a question.

Qiehe simply nodded, adopting an expression that clearly stated, 'Don't change the subject.'

Nuowen reluctantly recounted what had happened in brief, adding as an afterthought, "Oh, by the way, I heard a little boy's voice in that room. What’s going on there? What mischief are they up to? You..."

Qieli cut him off before he could finish, "Second Brother, you must absolutely, absolutely, absolutely not provoke that little boy!"

Seeing Qieli’s unprecedented seriousness, Nuowen visibly froze. Before he could ask anything, Qieli continued, "Second Brother, if this little boy gets involved physically, you won't be so lucky. Listen to your sister: never provoke that little boy!"

Nuowen froze again. It was the first time he had ever heard Qieli speak to him with such an urgent tone.

"Then why did you bring them to our house?" Nuowen asked, feeling utterly baffled.

"Second Brother, you don't understand. Being with them is genuinely fascinating! There are so many bizarre and strange things I've never seen in my life!" Qieli’s face suddenly lit up with a look of longing.

If Zhong Shenxiu hadn't chased her away, she probably would still be clinging to his side right now!

Nuowen wanted to press for more information, but Qieli preempted him. "Second Brother, I can't chat with you anymore. You must remember my words: never provoke those two children again, you must remember that!" With that, she actually ran off, leaving Nuowen standing there in confusion.

Nuowen realized that after talking with Qieli, his questions hadn't been answered; instead, they had multiplied!

...

Meanwhile, Zhong Shenxiu had been back for half a day, but his mind was still consumed by the book on "Spatial Magic" he had glimpsed in the library.

Though it was just a brief moment, Zhong Shenxiu had fallen in love with that library. He hadn't expected Xingran to possess so many books that he could study for ages!

However, there was one critical issue Zhong Shenxiu had to consider: the library was only open to the public for a few days. Once the official semester began, he wouldn't be able to access those books anymore.

Thankfully, an accidental glance had provided a solution: apply for a position as a teacher there. Moreover, teachers supposedly enjoyed reading privileges far superior to those of students, with many books restricted from student access.

The night passed without incident.

The very next morning, Zhong Shenxiu, Robin, and Keni headed directly towards the "Stay-at-Home Magic and Martial Arts Academy." They hadn't notified anyone!

Considering the time, the library wouldn't be open for a while yet. Zhong Shenxiu wanted to go early to interview first, secure the job, and then he could read in peace!

Coincidentally, as they were leaving, they ran right into Nuowen, who was out doing his morning exercises.

Nuowen stopped dead in his tracks, his gaze as if his soul had been captivated, fixed directly on the trio.

There really were two children!

What astonished Nuowen was that this second child, a boy, appeared even younger than the little girl he had seen yesterday!

Could that little boy be the one whose voice he heard in the room yesterday? What were they heading out to do?

Nuowen hesitated before attempting to stop them. It wasn't entirely because he heeded Qieli’s warning; it was because he genuinely didn't know what he would say if he intercepted them.

However, he didn't give up. Instead, he chose to follow them from a distance, determined to uncover the trio's intentions.

The busy streets, so vibrant the previous night, were much quieter now. Zhong Shenxiu and his companions proceeded directly to the "Stay-at-Home Magic and Martial Arts Academy" without stopping.

Following the address listed on the "Recruitment Notice" from yesterday, Zhong Shenxiu’s group arrived at a luxurious office building.

This was the location for the interviews, where responsible personnel would handle the arrangements.

To be honest, the senior management of the "Stay-at-Home Magic and Martial Arts Academy" didn't truly expect to hire faculty just by posting a "Recruitment Notice." They viewed it as a form of publicity. If they were serious about hiring, they could easily recruit at any major talent market; given the academy's renown, countless applicants would flock to apply!

On duty today was Jacob, who normally taught magic and had stayed behind at the academy over the break.

He was idly reading a newspaper, as he usually was at this hour when no one ever arrived. Suddenly, a beautiful voice sounded near him, causing him to jump slightly.

"Hello, may I trouble you for a moment?" Keni asked very gently. It was difficult for any man to refuse her request. Her voice was like a warm breeze, blowing directly into the marrow of one's bones.

Jacob looked up and then froze. A mature, sensual woman stood nearby, a soft smile gracing her lips.

"H-hello!"

Jacob hastily put down his newspaper and stood up. His eyes were so completely captivated by Keni's charm that he failed to notice Zhong Shenxiu and Robin standing beside her.

"May I ask where the interview for hiring teachers is taking place?" Keni continued in her sweet tone.

"Certainly, please follow me!" Jacob finally managed to regain his composure.

However, when he spotted Zhong Shenxiu and Robin, a flicker of disappointment crossed his face; he had mistakenly assumed they were Keni's children!

Keni and the others followed Jacob up the stairs. After several floors, they finally stopped. Jacob knocked on a door before leading the group inside.

"Director, these are the people here for the teacher interviews!" He glanced at Keni again, then added, "Please direct any inquiries to Director Leander!" With that, he left.

"Please have a seat!" Although Leander was slightly taken aback to see Keni arrive with what appeared to be her dependents for an interview, he maintained politeness and invited them to sit.

"Mr. Leander, is the interview conducted here?" Keni asked naturally, showing no sign of nervousness.

Leander assessed Keni from head to toe, then asked, "May I ask your name?"

"My name is Keni!"

"Ms. Keni, are you specialized in magic or combat techniques?"

"A little bit of both."

"So, you're applying for the Dual-Discipline class? Our academy desperately needs talent like you. Do you have any prior teaching experience?" Leander inquired further.

Keni paused slightly, then smiled, quickly correcting him, "Mr. Leander, I believe you are mistaken. I am not the one applying to be a teacher!"

"Not you?" Leander's eyes widened in disbelief.

This time, without waiting for Keni to speak, Zhong Shenxiu suddenly interjected, "I am the one applying!"

"What? You??" Leander’s eyes nearly popped out of his head! To find out what happens next, please log onto FenBa, where more chapters are available to support the author and legitimate reading!
