A full year, working around my primary job, has seen this novel of a million characters completed. For Binglin, this itself is a breakthrough, and that's something good. Though the book didn't turn out exactly as ideally as I’d hoped, I still need to give myself a moment of comfort first. I’ll take a break now before planning the next book. Whether I can continue publishing on Zongheng remains to be seen; I'll play it by ear when the time comes.
Uploading this now, after nearly nine months, I owe immense gratitude to the readers, my peers, and even those friends who just paused here for a glimpse of Binglin’s humble writing. Every click let me know that someone was still reading what I created; every collection fueled my drive to keep going. There were times I thought to myself, even if it was just one collection, I had to persist. Thankfully, I’ve held on until today. Because of this perseverance, tonight I plan to celebrate by taking my 'Big Treasure' (my future wife) out for a special meal to mark the occasion!
The rest is just thanks, but those words still need to be spoken, right? Gratitude to Zongheng Chinese Network, and to the editors. At this moment, for me, it’s more than just finishing the manuscript; this somewhat flawed work, Shou Shi, has at least fulfilled one of my long-held wishes. I want to keep writing, to eventually craft something truly good, instead of always making readers consume tedious content.
Finally, I wish everyone who reads this dedication a life full of happiness, success in all endeavors, and every possible blessing. I should probably bring in all the sentient beings of the Ten Realms too; bless them as well, just in case they decide to come looking for me tonight. Heh heh!
