"Brother Yi! Everything is ready. We've basically given the employees the day off; it's just the few of us left today!" Fatty Lin said with a sneaky, almost mischievous grin, clearly delighted inside.

"En, very good," Yang Yi responded, a hint of playful amusement touching his lips as he added, "Now everything is in place; we're just waiting for the crucial moment."

Inside the A City Police Department.

Liu Feng sped to the entrance of the A City Police Department in his car. He stepped out briskly, his expression stern.

"Uh, Secretary Liu, hello, I am..."

"Enough pleasantries. Take your men and follow me immediately. If this matter is delayed, neither of us will be able to handle the fallout." Liu Feng cut short the Police Chief, who was just beginning to speak, immediately exerting his official authority.

"Yes, yes, everything is prepared; we can depart right away. Just one question, Secretary Liu, about this matter—!" Although the Chief inwardly disdained Liu Feng for bullying him with his rank, he still asked politely.

"Then follow me..." Liu Feng declared with a grand, imposing sweep of his hand.

"Yes!" the Chief replied, inwardly scoffing, What an overbearing display of authority.

Despite his silent disdain for Liu Feng's official pomp, the Chief sensed something was off. The address Liu Feng had given him seemed oddly familiar, though he couldn't place it immediately.

Before long, Liu Feng, leading the Police Chief and over a hundred officers, was speeding towards the Black God Gang Entertainment Headquarters. It took them barely ten minutes to reach their destination.

"This is it!" the Police Chief beside Liu Feng announced.

"En, get out. Have men surround this place immediately, and bring a few inside with me!" Liu Feng opened his car door, muttering to himself, "Unbelievable, absolutely unbelievable. The former headquarters of the Lin Corporation is now an entertainment venue. What a sin, what a sin."

Meanwhile, Yang Yi and his group, waiting inside the headquarters for their expected guests, were leisurely sipping tea in the office, exuding an air of utter calm.

"Young Master, they have arrived," Feng Shi reported after glancing out the window.

"En, the show is about to begin!" Yang Yi said with a smile, taking a sip of his tea.

"Hmm? Why is there no one here?" Liu Feng muttered, just as he was about to act, a voice suddenly cut through the air.

"Who are you people, and what business brings you to my establishment unannounced?"

Following the source of the voice, Liu Feng, standing in the main hall, looked up towards the staircase. A distinguished, mature middle-aged man was slowly descending.

"I am the Provincial Party Secretary of A City. We received an intelligence report that you are involved in human trafficking and activities that endanger national security...!"

"Oh? Do you have any proof of that?" Han Zhong, who was walking down the stairs, asked with a mild, affable smile.

"Hmph, you don't believe me?" Liu Feng, shocked that the man questioned his identity, scoffed.

"—Alas, these days. A man wearing a police hat claims to be a police officer, but turns out to be nothing but a security guard. I wonder if you aren't one of that sort." Han Zhong’s words were barbed, instantly chilling Liu Feng’s face with anger.

"Hmph, here is my identification." Liu Feng pulled out a small red booklet, opened it, flashed it briefly, and then gestured toward the Police Chief beside him. "He is the Director of the A City Police Department; you don't need to doubt that."

"This—it seems you’ve misunderstood, Secretary. I don't doubt the Chief’s identity; after all, I watched him being sworn in on television." Han Zhong inwardly chuckled. After living this long, he never expected to have the chance to make a Provincial Party Secretary look like a fool in one day.

"You—" Liu Feng suppressed his surging fury. He now realized this man simply did not take him seriously. He said coldly, "I require a search of this entire premises now, so I suggest you cooperate fully!"

"Oh?" A cold glint flashed in Han Zhong’s eyes, and he inquired, "Might I ask if Your Excellency the Secretary possesses a search warrant?"

"This—" Liu Feng’s heart sank. He had completely forgotten about such a document. His expression darkened considerably. Gritting his teeth, he seemed to harden his resolve, "Search them—search everything!"

"—Yes—" A chorus of officers responded and immediately began the search.

Han Zhong made no move to stop them, only leveling a stern gaze at Liu Feng. "Secretary, I trust you also understand that operating without a warrant, and finding nothing, will carry severe consequences."

"Don't worry, I know perfectly well. But—if I do find something later, you likely won't have the opportunity to blame me," Liu Feng said, knowing the risk but too committed now, having already sent those two young men on their mission.

"Since you understand, that's good. Just don't say we aren't being reasonable," Han Zhong replied coldly.

"I suspect you aren't the boss here. Take us to him," Liu Feng's eyes held a certain ruthless glint. Though he wanted to conclude this matter quickly to ease his own anxiety, caution was still necessary.

"Heh heh, Secretary has sharp eyes. In that case, please lead the way!" Han Zhong’s previously icy expression melted away, replaced by a warm smile as he looked at Liu Feng.

Upstairs.

"Young Master, they have begun the search," Feng Shi reported to Yang Yi.

"En!" Yang Yi responded softly, saying nothing more.

However, Ye Xiaohou and Xu Ming beside him looked somewhat anxious, while Fatty Lin asked directly, "Brother Yi, what do we do next?"

"Wait. We wait for Uncle Han to come up first."

Just as Yang Yi finished speaking, the office door opened, and Han Zhong walked in, addressing Yang Yi, "Young Master, this Secretary claims he has business with you."

"Oh? Invite him in then!" Yang Yi’s heart turned cold at the words, but his face remained wreathed in smiles. It seems this is indeed related to them. I thought I let them off easy that day, and now they come looking for trouble today? Hmph! he thought to himself.

Fatty Lin and the others moved to stand behind Yang Yi, their faces devoid of smiles, watching the doorway with composed expressions. Whether they were suppressing private chuckles inside was anyone's guess.

"—Please!" Han Zhong called out towards the door.

Liu Feng, accompanied by the Police Chief and a few officers, stepped into the office. His eyes swept over the room, spotting only one young man sitting casually on the sofa, a few others standing behind him, while the young man himself calmly sipped tea, an air of composure that forced Liu Feng to frown. He inwardly sighed, I didn't expect the person Hai’er spoke of to be so young. Yet, he is certainly far more capable than Hai’er.

"Mhm, and you are the Provincial Party Secretary of A City?" Yang Yi did not stand to greet him—not exactly polite. He remained seated, still drinking tea, as he asked Liu Feng, who had just entered.

"That is correct. You are the person in charge of this company?" Liu Feng demanded.

"Heh heh, didn't my subordinate already explain that to you?" Yang Yi replied with a languid, playful smile.

"I want to ask, what is your connection to the Black God Gang?" Liu Feng asked, seeming very direct now.

"Mmm?" Yang Yi hummed, narrowing his eyes as he glanced at Liu Feng. "What? Secretary, is your visit here today not just to inquire about my relationship with the Black God Gang?"

"You—!" Liu Feng was incensed. Not only had a subordinate looked down on him downstairs, but now this young man was doing the same. A flash of rage crossed his mind. If he had noticed the expression on the Police Chief’s face, perhaps he would have exercised a little more caution.

"Good heavens, the trouble this Secretary is stirring up involves him?" The Chief muttered in private astonishment. Now, he finally understood the general picture.

"We received a tip that you are engaging in activities that harm the state, so we are ordering a search of this location," Liu Feng stated.

"Oh?" Yang Yi feigned confusion and responded with a drawn-out "Oh."

At that moment, Han Zhong walked over to Yang Yi’s side and whispered a few words in his ear.

A cold sneer flashed through Yang Yi’s mind. He then addressed Liu Feng, "It seems Your Excellency the Secretary lacks a search warrant, yet you have already begun searching my premises. I trust you know the consequences if nothing is found are quite severe!"

"Hmph, stop the nonsense," Liu Feng snorted, then turned to the Police Chief, "Why aren't your men done yet?"

"I'll go check right now!" The Chief gave Yang Yi a meaningful look before heading toward the door.

Yang Yi understood the Chief’s implied meaning immediately. He was surprised the Chief even remembered him; after all, the previous incident hadn't been that long ago, so remembering was not entirely out of the question.

Moments later...

The Police Chief re-entered, reporting to Liu Feng, "Secretary, we haven't found anything at all!"

"What? Impossible!" Liu Feng's brow furrowed at the news, his tone turning cold. He was clearly growing impatient. "Search—search again, and be thorough this time."

Hearing this, the A City Police Chief frowned slightly, posing a question that even surprised Yang Yi.

"May I ask, Secretary Liu, why you are so certain that materials pertaining to national security threats and human trafficking, as you described, exist here?"
