Gozhanxinya seemed to react as if struck by something electric, charging forward wildly. With Angelia’s current power, she could hold her own against any one of those men for dozens of rounds without losing, but one fist cannot fight four hands, and she was surely going to get hurt!

This was certainly not what Zhong Shenxiu wanted to see. Thus, when he witnessed Anjifeiya join the fray, he remained silent no longer, unleashing a "Weakening" spell upon the group of assailants, causing their combat strength to plummet drastically.

Pitiable wretches, they had been fighting with fervor, yet suddenly they felt a violent jolt course through their bodies. They became inexplicably heavy, distinctly sensing their power draining away, their movements slowing considerably as a result.

What—what in the world is happening?

With such swiftness, the fighting spirit these men had only just ignited vanished completely, plunging them into boundless terror.

The astute among them might have already guessed: this was the work of the young Necromancer. Though they desperately wished to tear Zhong Shenxiu limb from limb, at that moment, they struggled even to lift their legs. Coupled with the obstruction of Charlotte and Angelia fighting fiercely, reaching Zhong Shenxiu up close was proving to be no easy task!

Charlotte had been locked in a desperate struggle. Seeing Angelia suddenly rush into the fray, she instinctively started, knowing these ruffians were more than Angelia could handle alone, and quickly moved to close ranks beside her.

But just then, she noticed the enemies’ movements clearly becoming sluggish, their strikes lacking the previous ferocity!

Charlotte wasted no time thinking, rousing her spirit to cut them down with even greater precision.

Angelia fought as if possessed by a demon, executing killings with her blade without the slightest hesitation. The enemy's blood now stained her clothes crimson, yet she seemed utterly oblivious, a complete stranger to her former self.

The reason Angelia managed to overcome her psychological barrier and enter the fight was inextricably linked to the stimulus Charlotte had provided. When she saw Charlotte wield her longsword, mercilessly slaughtering their foes; when she saw Charlotte surrounded yet maintaining a cool demeanor; when she saw Charlotte unleash one ruthless, decisive killing blow after another—a single voice suddenly echoed in her mind: I cannot remain silent any longer, I cannot remain silent any longer.

The mercenary group, already small in number, had already lost half their strength. Now, any trace of lust was gone, replaced only by overwhelming dread, and deep regret for provoking these two terrifying goddesses.

But regret was now utterly useless. Neither Charlotte nor Angelia harbored any thought of accepting surrender. All they desired was to cleanse the area of this refuse as quickly as possible!

Watching from afar, Lis was utterly petrified. The look of horror that had previously marked his face was gone, replaced by a total blankness. It was as if his very soul had been siphoned away.

This was the first time he had witnessed killing, and he never imagined his debut would involve such a brutal engagement!

The scene had taken a decisive turn. Charlotte and Angelia fought with mounting ferocity, occasionally executing small, synchronized maneuvers!

The two of them had transformed into apparitions of death, radiating an intense killing aura. No matter how the opponents begged for mercy, they showed none!

If a woman is ruthless, she is absolutely unmatched—and often surpasses men in cruelty! Everyone must remember this fact!

In the time it took half an incense stick to burn, the battle was over. Not a single living soul remained on the ground!

By this time, Charlotte and Angelia were both covered in blood, breathing in deep, ragged gasps, their chests rising and falling rhythmically—it was unclear if it was from exhaustion or lingering shock!

Zhong Shenxiu glanced at them without a word, then walked a few paces forward before waving his hand. Instantly, over a dozen Skeleton Warriors rose from the corpses littering the ground.

Once these Skeleton Warriors assembled beside him, Zhong Shenxiu cast an Earth magic spell, burying all the disgusting remains beneath the soil—a small good deed, perhaps!

Meanwhile, Charlotte and Angelia remained frozen in place, and as for Lis, he had maintained the exact same posture for a considerable time.

"Hey, girl, are you alright?" Zhong Shenxiu asked Angelia.

Angelia merely turned her gaze blankly toward him, offering no reply. This was, after all, her first time killing, and the feeling was not something that could be articulated in mere words!

Suddenly, Zhong Shenxiu flicked his wrist, and a gentle ray of light shot from his fingers, sinking directly into Angelia's body.

Angelia visibly flinched. Then, color gradually returned to her eyes, and her complexion improved significantly! However, precisely because of this relief, she began to heave violently, retching like a pregnant woman at the side.

Once Angelia could straighten up, Zhong Shenxiu stated calmly, "We move on!"

Charlotte and Angelia were eager to leave the place immediately, raising no objection. Only Lis remained motionless, his eyes fixed blankly ahead, seemingly without any focal point!

This time, Zhong Shenxiu did not intervene directly, instead nodding at Robin. Robin understood, and immediately cast a large "Water Orb" spell onto Lis! — he was utterly unable to utter a single sound.

Charlotte seemed to understand Lis’s state well and walked over to offer him some comfort.

After packing their belongings, the group continued forward. Their entourage was considerably larger now, bolstered by more than a dozen Skeleton Warriors.

Angelia and the other two women consistently maintained a distance from the Skeleton Warriors, not even daring to look directly at them. This wasn't due to fear of the skeletons themselves, but because gazing upon the animated corpses brought back sharp memories of the recent battle!

They walked on like this for an unknowable distance, only noticing that the sky was growing darker.

The moon was bright today, unobscured by clouds, casting the entire "Damp Forest" as if draped in sheer gauze.

The dried bloodstains on Charlotte and Angelia's clothes began to resurface with a metallic scent, sticky and intensely uncomfortable, stimulated by their perspiration.

For Charlotte and Angelia, nothing was more important than finding a place to bathe and change their clothes! Yet, neither spoke, perhaps out of shyness or some other reason. In truth, they were longing for the moment they could finally set up camp!

About the time it took another incense stick to burn, they arrived at a small river, and Zhong Shenxiu finally halted.

"We rest here for the night!" Zhong Shenxiu's voice remained as flat as still water, showing no hint of chivalry.

Upon hearing they could rest, Charlotte and Angelia immediately found stones and sank onto them, both pairs of eyes fixed on the nearby river with expressions of intense longing.

The slightly clammy feeling on their bodies was becoming unbearable, especially the wafting smell of blood, which made their stomachs churn!

However, they had to suppress their desires because Zhong Shenxiu and Lis, two men, were present. They were not so brazen as to strip down without concern!

Just as they were pondering what to do, Zhong Shenxiu spoke again: "You three stay here and guard; I'll scout the perimeter!" With that, he left without looking back, taking the cohort of Skeleton Warriors with him.

Zhong Shenxiu hadn't taken Robin this time, perhaps as a consideration for Charlotte and the others' comfort, as having Robin remain nearby provided them all with a sense of security!

Seeing Zhong Shenxiu truly depart, Charlotte and Angelia rejoiced simultaneously, rising from their stones without a word. They exchanged a look; without needing speech, they understood each other perfectly—a rapport not always present!

"Lis," Charlotte hesitated, then continued, "Your senior and I are going upstream to wash. You... you shouldn't follow!"

As Charlotte finished speaking, Angelia turned her head sharply, her cheeks flushed scarlet. Truly, the innocence of youth showed!

Lis was initially startled, then nodded sheepishly.

Charlotte offered Lis a reassuring smile and said no more; she had great faith in Lis's character!

Just as Charlotte and Angelia were about to follow the river upstream to find a discreet "swimming hole," Lis suddenly spoke up: "Sister Charlotte, Senior, wait up!"

Charlotte and Angelia stopped abruptly, looking back at Lis in confusion.

Lis, however, turned to Robin and asked, "Robin, could you accompany Sister Charlotte and Senior?"

Robin didn't see any issue with it, but Charlotte and Angelia paused, understanding Lis's implication immediately: he was worried about them and wanted Robin to stay and protect them. After all, when beautiful women bathe, someone should stand guard!

Charlotte started to decline Lis's offer, knowing that Lis himself was more vulnerable.

But before she could speak, Lis added quickly, "Sister Charlotte, please go ahead, I'll be fine! Besides, there's an eighth-tier magical beast here!"

"But," Charlotte tried again.

"Sister Charlotte, please let me have some quiet time alone. Don't worry about me, and with Robin’s speed, he can return very quickly!" Lis forced a smile.

Finally, seeing Lis’s resolute expression, Charlotte and Angelia reluctantly agreed, resolving to wash quickly and return swiftly!

The river meandered, and about two hundred meters ahead, there was a natural pool—truly the ideal spot for bathing.

The water in the pool was shallow and incredibly clear; there weren't even any fish or shrimp within.

Before stepping into the water, Charlotte and Angelia made sure to implore Robin once more to stand guard for them, insisting he notify them immediately if any outsider approached.

Robin nodded in agreement. Only then did Charlotte and Angelia, feeling secure, shed their clothes and slip into the cool pool water.
