After saying this, Agares took out two black dragon scales from his robes and handed them to Mo Han. Seeing this, Mo Han had no choice but to accept them. This was the first time Mo Han had truly touched a dragon scale, and he couldn't help but examine it closely. Both scales were pitch black and smooth to the touch, chillingly cold, with a texture somewhat akin to jade, yet they appeared incomparably hard. Mo Han applied a slight force but could not budge them an inch. No wonder the Dragon Clan could rely on these scales to ward off magic and battle qi.

With that thought, Mo Han kept one scale for himself and passed the other to Bai Ling. Upon seeing this, Bai Ling hesitated for a moment. Mo Han knew that with Bai Ling's strength, she could absolutely enter the magic array without needing a dragon scale, but unless absolutely necessary, Mo Han didn't want Bai Ling to reveal too much of her power prematurely. Thus, he winked at Bai Ling, signaling her to hold back. Seeing this, Bai Ling reluctantly extended her hand to take the scale and casually tucked it away.

Seeing that both Mo Han and Bai Ling were ready, Agares smiled at them and spoke, "Since the two of you are prepared, this old man will lead the way. I ask that you both follow closely to avoid unnecessary trouble."

With these words, he turned and started leading the way ahead.

The Young Clan Leader of the Demon Dragon Clan simply stared coldly at Mo Han from beginning to end, saying nothing, but the hostility in his eyes was obvious. However, Mo Han clearly wasn't bothered by this; he completely ignored the Young Clan Leader's icy glare and, with Bai Ling, followed closely behind Agares as they entered the magic array.

Agares led Mo Han and Bai Ling through the array, constantly shifting positions to avoid triggering any traps. Everything went smoothly on the path.

Yet, Mo Han felt very strange. Although the path inside required constant positional changes, any strong practitioner with a certain level of power, possessing superhuman memory and perception, should not find it difficult to map the route in.

Take Mo Han, for instance. Despite taking many detours, Mo Han could completely chart the path in using his own senses and memory.

If that were the case, wouldn't the magic array be completely useless against powerful experts? Thinking of this, Mo Han voiced his confusion to Bai Ling beside him.

Hearing this, Bai Ling had to explain, "Actually, this magic array changes its route every time it is used; in other words, the entry route shifts constantly and has no fixed pattern. So, if you enter at different times, you will take a different path. This means that even if you memorize this time's route, it will be completely inapplicable the next time you come."

Upon hearing Bai Ling’s explanation, Mo Han finally understood. No wonder. Otherwise, he would have thought this ancient magic array was truly that simple. It turned out there was a deeper mechanism. For someone unaware, even memorizing the route would be useless because it changed constantly; one could never truly remember it.

Agares, who had been leading the way, had his eyes flash brilliantly upon hearing Bai Ling's words, but his body didn't stop; he maintained his pace leading forward, so Mo Han and Bai Ling didn't notice this change at all, continuing their private conversation.

Although Mo Han was the one asking the questions, Bai Ling answered everything he inquired about. Even Bai Ling found it strange; given her usual temperament, she would absolutely be too lazy to answer such questions. Yet, towards Mo Han, she somehow couldn't muster the thought of refusing. Perhaps Mo Han's thirst for knowledge had moved her, so she answered everything he asked.

Not long after, Mo Han and the others passed through the mist, and an island immediately appeared clearly before Mo Han. However, this island had no trees at all; it looked entirely barren, unlike the beautiful islands pirates usually inhabited. Moreover, Mo Han couldn't see a single animal or bird on the entire island; it was like a dead isle.

But Mo Han could feel a strong pressure emanating from the entire island, making everyone uncomfortable. It seemed this was the effect caused by the Dragon Clan's innate Dragon Might. However, while this pressure was unbearable for ordinary people, the impact on Mo Han wasn't significant, and for Bai Ling, it was practically nonexistent.

Agalas led Mo Han and Bai Ling to land in a valley at the center of the small island. The surrounding rock walls were riddled with hundreds of caves, large and small; these were likely the caverns where the Demon Dragon Clan members resided. In the center of the valley was a massive circular plaza, where several strange statues stood. The entire plaza looked somewhat like an altar or similar structure.

At this moment, dozens of Demon Dragon Clan members had already gathered in the plaza, looking at Mo Han and Bai Ling with curious gazes. In the caves lining the sides of the plaza, more Demon Dragon Clan members poked their heads out, curiously observing Mo Han and his group. Although Demon Dragon Island had existed for tens of thousands of years, very few humans had ever managed to enter the island, so the arrival of Mo Han and his party naturally drew the attention of the clan members.

In the very center of the plaza sat a middle-aged man clad in a golden silk robe, with a square face, large bell-like eyes, dark skin, and a commanding presence. Seeing him instantly made Mo Han think, somewhat unnaturally, of Zhang Fei from the Three Kingdoms period.

Indeed, upon seeing the middle-aged man, Agares strode forward quickly, bowed respectfully to the man in the golden robe, and announced, "Reporting to the Clan Leader, this young hero is Prince Mo Han of the Heavenly Dragon Empire. Your subordinate has brought him here. The lady beside him possesses extraordinary skill; she is Prince Mo Han's friend."

Agares deliberately emphasized the words "extraordinary skill." Since he didn't know Bai Ling's name, this was the only way Agares could introduce her.

The Young Clan Leader of the Demon Dragon Clan had already returned to the side of the Demon Dragon Clan Leader by the time Agares introduced Mo Han. He stood behind the leader, showing a respectful posture concerning Agares's words. The middle-aged man stood up with a smile and greeted Bai Ling with a grin.

However, upon seeing Bai Ling, the Demon Dragon Clan Leader’s eyes showed the same look of astonishment as Agares’s, though it vanished in an instant. He smiled and addressed Mo Han, saying, "I have long heard of Prince Mo Han's great name. Prince Mo Han is indeed not an ordinary person. One can tell just by looking at the strength of the friend accompanying him. Judging by this lady's cultivation, she must have reached the level of a Saint Mage, Tier Three, or above? She is only one step away from being a Magic God. I haven't seen anyone of such high cultivation in a long time; it is truly an honor to meet you today."

The surrounding Demon Dragon Clan members showed expressions of surprise upon hearing their Clan Leader's assessment of Bai Ling. One must remember that Saint Mage, Tier Three, was the level closest to the Magic God, representing the highest cultivation among humans. To think such a cold-looking young woman had achieved it—no wonder they were astonished.

Agares was even more shocked. He had always thought Bai Ling's strength was far from simple, but he hadn't expected her to have reached the level of Saint Mage Tier Three, even higher than his original estimate. No wonder she hadn't paid the magic arrays any mind.

Hearing this, Mo Han secretly thought that this Demon Dragon Clan Leader was truly extraordinary. He could discern Bai Ling's strength with just one glance! It seemed the Demon Dragon Clan Leader’s power was comparable to the Saint Dragon Clan Leader, having reached the legendary level of a Magic God. However, since the Saint Dragon Clan Leader specialized in martial techniques, his strength should equate to the Sword God level, Mo Han mused.

With this in mind, Mo Han replied with a forced smile, "Clan Leader, you flatter me too much. I am nowhere near as formidable as you say, and my friend has merely dabbled in some ordinary magic. To receive such praise from the Clan Leader makes Mo Han feel incredibly honored."

Mo Han spoke as if the Clan Leader was praising his own strength, showing no modesty whatsoever.

Hearing Mo Han's reply, the surrounding Demon Dragon Clan members showed expressions of disdain, cursing Mo Han for being shameless. If a Saint Mage Tier Three could only be considered 'ordinary,' then there were probably no experts left on this continent, excluding Magic Gods. But Magic Gods and Sword Gods were not achieved easily; otherwise, they wouldn't be the ultimate goal yearned for by everyone, including the Dragons.

Despite Mo Han's response, the Demon Dragon Clan Leader showed no surprise; he continued to smile and speak, "I had estimated that Prince Mo Han would arrive yesterday, so this morning, I, along with several elders and some clan members, have been waiting here for His Highness. Prince Mo Han, please take a seat."

Saying this, two Demon Dragon Clan members brought two chairs and placed them to the right of the Demon Dragon Clan Leader, in the lower seats alongside the elders, showing respect to Mo Han. Mo Han was slightly taken aback that the Clan Leader had been waiting for him since early this morning.

However, upon reflection, considering the Dragon Clan's long lifespan, a morning was merely the time it took for them to yawn, so he dismissed the surprise. Seeing the Clan Leader show him such respect, clearly surpassing the courtesy usually afforded to humans by the Dragon Clan, Mo Han was momentarily unsure what the Clan Leader was plotting. He exchanged a glance with Bai Ling and slowly took his seat.

As soon as Mo Han was settled, the Demon Dragon Clan Leader smiled and began, "Actually, I wanted to summon Prince Mo Han a long time ago. However, a small misunderstanding occurred between us previously, so I feared the Prince might refuse to come. Thus, I first invited two of the Prince's close companions to be guests here. I hope the Prince does not hold it against me."

Mo Han inwardly snorted at the Clan Leader’s words, which carried the same tone as Agares's: if that could be called an invitation, then robbery wouldn't exist in this world. But Mo Han didn't expose the pretense and instead smiled, saying, "Since that is the case, how are my two friends? Could the Clan Leader ask them to come out and meet me? I haven't seen them in a few days and miss them dearly. Surely the Clan Leader won't refuse such a reasonable request from me?" Hearing Mo Han's reply, the surrounding Demon Dragon Clan members lowered their assessment of him further, not understanding why such a person would be valued by their Clan Leader and receive such high courtesy. Normally, in their eyes, Mo Han was just a human who could be crushed with a casual wave of a hand, someone they wouldn't even bother looking at twice.

Yet the Demon Dragon Clan Leader seemed completely unfazed, continuing to smile, "That is only natural. Prince Mo Han is indeed a man of charm. No wonder those two ladies, having arrived here, constantly speak of you and can't forget you. Prince Mo Han, please take a moment to sit. I have already ordered someone to fetch your two friends; they should be here shortly. However, before your friends arrive, I wish to ask a favor of Prince Mo Han, something I hope you can agree to. My Demon Dragon Clan will certainly not treat the Prince poorly."

Mo Han thought to himself, what was bound to come has arrived. This request must be the main purpose for which the Demon Dragon Clan summoned him. If he refused, he might never see Daili again. With this realization, Mo Han said, "It seems I don't have the right to refuse, so I must agree. Clan Leader, please state your request. I hope it is something Mo Han can accomplish, otherwise, I would be powerless."

Hearing this, the Demon Dragon Clan Leader quickly smiled and replied cheerfully, "Prince, you jest. I have already ascertained that this matter is something Prince Mo Han is fully capable of handling, which is why I sought your help. Otherwise, I would not have made this request. So, Prince, you can rest assured."
