The two-headed beast never anticipated Mo Han's audacious move, for while the gap between its massive palms was not insignificant, it was still barely wide enough for a person to squeeze through—a feat requiring not only supremely high skill but also immense courage and pinpoint judgment.

If there had been even the slightest miscalculation, Mo Han would surely have been crushed beneath the beast's giant hands, yet he succeeded, and with flawless execution.

By then, it was too late for the beast to withdraw its hands to deal with Mo Han. Furthermore, because the two-headed monster had intended to utterly destroy Mo Han, its palms carried immense force, not something that could simply be recalled at will. Even the beast’s body swayed precariously to one side, losing its balance as its full-force attack missed its mark.

This was the opening Mo Han had waited for. Suspended in mid-air, Mo Han raised the Holy Sword of Light in his hand, roared an oath, and swung it toward one of the off-balance creature's heads. At such close range, the monster could not possibly dodge, and its hands were too far away to intervene and block Mo Han.

Seeing this, the two-headed beast suddenly stretched its neck, attempting to use the strange iron chains bound around its throat to intercept Mo Han’s strike.

But Mo Han would not let it have its way. The Holy Sword of Light shifted its attack trajectory instantly. A blinding white light flashed, and the sword precisely sliced beneath the beast's head, eliciting a terrible, piercing scream from the two-headed monster.

The entire Holy Sword of Light plunged into the creature’s head. Perhaps due to the inherent hardness of the beast’s armor, the sword only pierced halfway through its skull, far short of the clean severing Mo Han had intended. Even so,

it was highly probable that this head was beyond saving. Torrential blood surged from the wound on the creature's skull.

However, Mo Han was protected by his Body-Guarding Battle Qi, so not a single drop of blood managed to touch him; it was all deflected by his aura.

Seeing the strike succeed, Mo Han did not press his advantage. He withdrew the Holy Sword of Light and soared backward.

He landed steadily beside Xiao Long.

The two-headed beast, meanwhile, thrashed its claws wildly, relentlessly smashing the surrounding walls and floor, shaking the entire grand hall until stones rained down from the ceiling.

The metal chains, forged from Hell Nether Stone that bound the beast, shrieked with deafening clangs under the monster’s violent struggle, yet the beast could not break free of their restraint.

It could only writhe within the limits imposed by the chains; otherwise, Mo Han truly feared that if this impossibly strong beast were allowed to roam freely, the entire hall would collapse.

It was fortunate that the metal chains restrained the two-headed monster; otherwise, Mo Han worried he couldn't contain the frenzied creature, and if it rampaged, things would become truly troublesome.

After struggling for a while, the two-headed beast gradually quieted down.

Perhaps its pain had lessened. The head Mo Han had wounded now hung limply against its neck.

The remaining head stared fiercely at Mo Han, the source of its agony, its huge eyes burning with a terrifying malevolence that sent a chill down the spine.

But Mo Han was unmoved, knowing that the beast’s current strength was diminished, not enhanced. If he could handle it when its power was at its peak, dealing with it now should be even easier.

The two-headed beast suddenly let out a shrill roar, and then the remaining head lunged toward the wounded one, biting off a chunk.

Witnessing this, Mo Han was momentarily stunned. Had he frightened the beast into insanity? Eating its own head—it was terrifyingly brutal. Yet the monster seemed oblivious, rapidly tearing and swallowing the entirety of its injured head, making Mo Han feel nauseous.

Mo Han had seen ferocious beasts before, but one so savage it wouldn't spare its own head was entirely unheard of. He stood motionless for a moment, waiting to see what monstrous trick the two-headed beast would attempt next.

After devouring the wounded head, the beast’s remaining head suddenly emitted an eerie crimson glow. Then, where the neck had been injured, a new head slowly began to sprout. This new head was slightly smaller than the original ones but nearly identical in appearance.

Watching this unfold, Mo Han truly wondered if his eyes were deceiving him. This creature had already shocked him repeatedly, and now it could regenerate a severed head. Did that mean the rest of its body was similarly resilient? If so, it possessed virtual immortality, rendering any further battle pointless.

However, the regrowth of the new head seemed to have drained the creature significantly. The two-headed beast's energy was visibly lower than before. Its eyes showed a hint of exhaustion, and its entire body was heaving with heavy breaths, suggesting great exertion. Despite this, its gaze remained locked rigidly on Mo Han, never wavering.

At that moment, the two-headed beast roared again and spat a cloud of white mist toward a rock face directly above the main hall. A soft light immediately spilled down from the wall, enveloping the majority of the beast’s body. Bathed in this white radiance, the monster appeared deeply content.

Seeing this, Mo Han inwardly groaned. Although he couldn't identify the exact magic, he was certain the white light was a high-level healing spell. Mo Han could sense the vibrant Light Elementals swirling rapidly within the light—a signature characteristic of advanced Light Healing Magic, active only when repairing wounds. Judging by the beast’s blissful expression, Mo Han concluded his suspicion was correct: the white light was undoubtedly regenerating its injuries.

He had finally managed to wound the creature and exhaust a large portion of its magical power. If it were allowed to recover, fighting it again would be incredibly difficult. He had already expended a considerable amount of his own Battle Qi evading the beast’s previous spells and mist attacks. If the monster healed now, Mo Han had no confidence he could handle the situation; trouble would surely follow.

With this realization, Mo Han hesitated no longer. He swiftly commanded Xiao Long to attack and simultaneously leaped toward the two-headed beast enveloped in the white light.

Upon hearing Mo Han’s command, Xiao Long immediately unleashed the massive spell it had prepared while the beast was previously injured. Instantly, over a hundred lightning bolts, as thick as human arms, erupted above the beast’s head and surged downward with immense power toward the creature below.

Every bolt was precisely controlled by Xiao Long and struck its mark. Even with the beast’s formidable physique, absorbing an electrical assault nearly equivalent to a forbidden spell was too much. A cacophony of crackling sounds filled the air, punctuated by the creature’s agonizing screams.

A large portion of the two-headed beast's body was scorched black by Xiao Long’s lightning magic, emanating a faint smell of burning flesh. At the same instant, Mo Han leaped high, soaring directly in front of the beast. The Holy Sword of Light, gleaming brightly, swung toward the creature’s remaining head. This time, Mo Han committed all his strength, determined to sever its neck in one strike.

The two-headed beast, which had been rapidly regaining strength under the white light, had not anticipated the sheer power of Xiao Long’s lightning, which had nearly paralyzed its entire body. Seeing Mo Han’s Holy Sword of Light incoming, the beast—having just suffered a massive setback from Mo Han—dared not be careless. It instinctively raised one of its forelimbs, which was bound by chains, to meet the Holy Sword, intending to use the Hell Nether Stone embedded in that limb to block Mo Han’s attack, just as it had tried before.

But Mo Han, high in the air, had foreseen this exact move. Therefore, his previous formidable attack was merely a feint. Seeing the beast react exactly as expected, a faint smile touched Mo Han’s lips. He abruptly halted his sword’s momentum, his body dropping rapidly. Then, with a quick flourish, his longsword slashed toward the exposed flesh beneath the forelimb that was not covered by the chains.
