Although the Elf Queen did not know what Mo Han meant by heart disease, she understood it was nothing good, and chuckled, “Why are you in such a hurry? Now you’re scared and anxious. See if you dare to talk nonsense next time.”

Upon hearing this, Mo Han immediately quieted down, putting on an innocent expression, thinking to himself that women of all ages and statuses hold grudges—even this Elf Queen was no exception. However, he dared not show the slightest reaction on his face.

Seeing this, the Elf Queen smiled with satisfaction and nodded, saying, “That’s more like it. By the way, I wonder if Saintess has ever heard of the Demon-Dispelling Orb.”

After speaking, the Elf Queen looked toward Shui Ling’er, awaiting her reply.

The reason she asked Shui Ling’er and not Mo Han was because the Elf Queen knew that given Mo Han’s current level of knowledge, he certainly wouldn't know anything about the Demon-Dispelling Orb; asking him would be pointless.

When Shui Ling’er heard the Elf Queen’s question, she exclaimed with surprise and delight, “Is it the legendary Demon-Dispelling Orb, said to have been personally created by the Creator God by extracting the purest Light Magic elemental energy? Is it here in the Elf Forest?” The Elf Queen looked slightly surprised and said, “So the Saintess also knows this legend? Hehe, yes, the Demon-Dispelling Orb I speak of is indeed the one personally crafted by the Creator God. There is only one such Orb on this continent. I believe no one other than the Creator God possessed the ability to forge it.”

Hearing this, Shui Ling’er immediately spoke with joy, “That’s wonderful! If we have the Demon-Dispelling Orb, then Mo Han’s Netherworld Power can be dispelled. Mo Han will be saved.”

Only Mo Han remained stunned, standing there blankly. It seemed the Elf Queen had guessed correctly; Mo Han, a veritable novice in terms of life experience, had no idea what the Demon-Dispelling Orb was or what its function was. He could only piece together a rough idea from the conversation between the Elf Queen and Shui Ling’er.

Just then, Shui Ling’er seemed to recall something and asked, “Since we have the Demon-Dispelling Orb, what is required of me?” The Elf Queen gazed meaningfully at Shui Ling’er and smiled as she replied, “As I mentioned earlier, the Netherworld affliction has already spread throughout young Brother Mo Han’s entire body. Therefore, we need a high-level Light Mage to channel magical energy into the Demon-Dispelling Orb to activate its power to absorb the Netherworld Power. Then, the Orb must be passed over every part of young Brother Mo Han’s body, ensuring every trace of the Netherworld Power is purged at once. Should even a tiny bit be left behind, it would be troublesome and could very likely affect the young brother’s sanity in the future. Of course, to achieve a complete cleansing, the prerequisite is that young Brother Mo Han must remove all of his clothing to allow for the thorough elimination of all Netherworld Power.”

Hearing the Elf Queen’s words, Shui Ling’er was taken aback by the requirement; her heart immediately became troubled. It wasn't that she was unwilling, but she was a Saintess, and if other members of her faith knew, it would cause significant problems. Thinking of this, Shui Ling’er spoke with a touch of shyness, “I understand Your Majesty’s meaning. However, are there no other Light Mages within the Elven race?”

The Elf Queen nodded upon hearing this, saying, “Although Light Mages are relatively rare, the Elf Forest certainly has a few others. However, for maximum safety and effectiveness, the magical cultivation of this Light Mage should ideally reach the Great Archmage realm. Thus, the Elf Forest does not have many Light Mages who have attained the Great Archmage cultivation. As far as I know, only Elder Ery is at that level.”

At this point, the Elf Queen intentionally paused, smiling as she looked at Mo Han and said, “If young Brother Mo Han does not mind being in intimate contact with Elder Ery, I can certainly speak to him, and perhaps Elder Ery would agree.”

Hearing this, Mo Han pictured himself completely naked with an old man who would then proceed to touch his entire body. Goosebumps instantly erupted on his skin. The thought alone was terrifying; even if he were cured, he would surely suffer lasting psychological trauma. With this in mind, Mo Han shook his head with extreme resolve and declared, “Your Majesty, aren’t you asking the obvious? Forget it. If it has to be that way, I would rather commit suicide. Otherwise, even if cured, I would be left in a state worse than death. After I die, Your Majesty can just dismember my body. I believe that even the most potent Netherworld Power wouldn’t be able to turn me into a puppet then.”

Hearing Mo Han’s answer, the Elf Queen shook her head helplessly and sighed, “Besides that, I truly know no other way. But I must remind you both, the longer the Netherworld Power remains in the body, the greater the damage inflicted upon it, so…” Although the Elf Queen left the rest unspoken, the implication was clear enough for a fool to understand—it meant bad things would happen.

Shui Ling’er fell silent for a moment, then seemed to make a firm decision, saying, “Fine. I will treat Mo Han’s injury then. Please inform me of any necessary precautions, Your Majesty.” Shui Ling’er deliberately stressed the words ‘treat injury,’ clearly signaling to Mo Han that she was only helping him heal and that he shouldn't entertain any inappropriate thoughts.

Upon hearing this, Mo Han smirked sheepishly and said, “Isn’t that a bit… much, Ling’er? I might get embarrassed.”

Shui Ling’er shot him a fierce glare and retorted, “Oh, I think so too. In that case, let’s just have Your Majesty summon Elder Ery to treat you. That would be best.”

Mo Han immediately looked distraught, shaking his head vigorously like a rattle drum. “Then never mind. I’d rather die first. Ling’er, you are much better, hehe.”

Hearing their exchange, the Elf Queen couldn't help but find it amusing. She chuckled and said, “Very well. Since you both agree, I will prepare the treatment room. I will also tell you the method for using the Demon-Dispelling Orb shortly. Please wait here for a moment.” With that, the Elf Queen smiled and departed.

In an instant, only Mo Han and Shui Ling’er remained in the room, and the atmosphere became somewhat delicate. Neither spoke. Mo Han was at a loss for words, while Shui Ling’er was overcome with shyness, choosing silence instead.

Finally, Mo Han broke the quiet, saying, “Ling’er, you really don’t have to do this. I… if you…” Mo Han struggled to find the right words. The typically articulate Mo Han now seemed to stammer.

Shui Ling’er let out a soft laugh, then scolded him shyly, “What nonsense are you thinking? I am just healing you. It’s not what you’re imagining. You, who usually has a face as thick as a city wall, when did you become so hesitant and shy?”

Mo Han let out a wry smile. He was only trying to be considerate of her. Why did it turn into him being fussy? Since Shui Ling’er, a young woman, didn’t mind, anything more he said would sound hypocritical. Thus, he just smiled and said no more.

Not long after, the Elf Queen returned and led Mo Han to a secluded room, telling him to wait inside while she explained the usage of the Demon-Dispelling Orb to Shui Ling’er outside. Soon after, the Elf Queen and Shui Ling’er walked in together, though Shui Ling’er’s face was still flushed bright red—a sight Mo Han found utterly captivating.

The Elf Queen smiled and addressed Shui Ling’er, “Don't worry, I’ve posted guards strictly around the perimeter. No one will approach. Please proceed with healing young Brother Mo Han with peace of mind.” After saying this, she cast a meaningful glance at Mo Han before smiling and leaving. Mo Han felt a prickle of annoyance; he wondered if the Elf Queen’s method was genuinely safe or if she was intentionally trying to prank him. But with no other recourse, Mo Han could only reluctantly accept the situation.

Then, Shui Ling’er spoke in a tiny, bashful voice, “What are you still sitting there for? Take off your #%.” Although Shui Ling’er had sounded quite generous earlier, as the moment arrived, she became intensely shy, causing her voice to drop to a near-inaudible whisper, like a mosquito's buzz. If Mo Han hadn't possessed superior cultivation, he truly wouldn't have heard her. Even so, when she said the word ‘clothes,’ Shui Ling’er rushed through it so quickly that Mo Han couldn't catch it clearly, though he grasped her general meaning.

Seeing Shui Ling’er so bashful, Mo Han also felt a little awkward, and the atmosphere in the room turned peculiar. To ease the tension, Mo Han quickly calmed his thoughts and joked, “Ling’er, I’m placing myself entirely in your hands now. You’ll have to be responsible for me afterward, or I won’t let you off the hook.”

Hearing Mo Han, Shui Ling’er’s face grew even redder, and she quickly chided, “What nonsense are you spouting? Who’s going to be responsible for you? You dream on!” Saying this, Shui Ling’er couldn’t help but find herself amused and let out a light chuckle. However, Mo Han’s antics completely dissolved the awkwardness in the room.

Seeing her lightheartedness, Mo Han also smiled and said seriously, “I’m not kidding, you know. This is the first time I’ve shown my body to any girl other than my parents since I grew up. This is my first time, so you absolutely cannot go back on your word.”

Shui Ling’er shot back with a playful curse, “Dream on! I can’t be bothered to look at you! Do you think I’m eager to see your body? Hurry up and undress.” By now, the atmosphere was less strained, and Shui Ling’er spoke without whispering, seemingly accustomed to the surroundings.

Mo Han suddenly stood up, walked over to Shui Ling’er, and gently took her small, boneless hand, gripping it tightly. This made Shui Ling’er blush deeply, feeling as if her heart might leap out of her chest. She quickly protested, “What are you doing? Go back and sit down properly!”

But Mo Han stubbornly shook his head and said earnestly, “Ling’er, marry me, okay?” Shui Ling’er immediately lowered her head and said, “What is it? I said I’m treating your injury, there’s nothing else involved, so you don’t need to feel guilty or anything. Go back and sit down.”

Seeing her misunderstanding, Mo Han quickly clarified, “Don’t misunderstand. I’m not saying this just because you’re helping me heal. It’s because I truly love you, I love being with you, that’s why I’m asking. These are my true feelings, and I sincerely hope you will accept my request. Although I can’t promise I will only have you as my wife, as I have already promised to take care of Daili, I can guarantee that I will cherish and protect you above my own life. I swear it.”

Shui Ling’er immediately reached out to stop Mo Han from saying more, speaking gently, “Silly boy, of course I believe you. And of course, I am willing to marry you and be your wife for all eternity. Truly. But not right now. Once I have settled everything, I will definitely come to find you. By then, you won't be able to escape even if you wanted to. Just don't complain that I’m bothering you then.”

Hearing this, Mo Han replied with deep affection, “Never! Hehe. By then, we’ll both be old, our teeth fallen out, but my love for you will never diminish; it will only grow.”

Shui Ling’er looked moved and said, “Alright, I know. If you keep talking, you’ll make me cry. Hurry back and sit properly. We’re about to start.”
