Upon hearing this, Mo Han nodded and inquired, "Is Her Majesty the Queen still in the Elf Forest?" Hearing this, Nys nodded and replied, "Her Majesty should be in the Council Hall right now. Recently, due to the matter concerning the Princess, Her Majesty hasn't rested well and has remained constantly in the Hall awaiting news from the clan. I truly fear she will wear herself out; the Elven race would descend into chaos then."

"It's alright, I will certainly rescue Anna as quickly as possible. I’ll go see Her Majesty first to understand a few things. You carry on with your work," Mo Han said with a smile to Nys before setting off toward the Council Hall. Having been in the Elf Forest for several days, Mo Han more or less knew the direction to the Hall.

Nys watched Mo Han's retreating back, an indescribable expression flickering in her eyes. Then, with a soft sigh, she turned and left. Who knew what was going through her mind.

As Mo Han walked toward the Council Hall, halfway there,

He suddenly felt a distinct fluctuation emanating from the Bright Jade Token in his embrace. This caused Mo Han's expression to shift drastically. Disregarding the surprised gazes of the surrounding elves, he cast the Flight Spell and sped toward the dense woods in the southern part of the Elf Forest, leaving behind only a fleeting shadow in the sky, moving at incredible speed. No one knew what had happened.

However, some elves who recognized Mo Han immediately hurried off to report to the Elf Queen.

Meanwhile, Mo Han, having already pursued a great distance,

Suddenly descended onto a grassy expanse, his eyes filled with confusion. Following the guidance of the Bright Jade Token, once he reached above this stretch of dense forest, the signal vanished as if it had never existed. Yet, Mo Han was absolutely certain that the Nether race member had to be hiding nearby.

At the speed he had been traveling, the Nether individual could not possibly have escaped. It was just that, for some reason, the dark aura surrounding him had temporarily disappeared, causing the Bright Jade Token to lose his signature.

After a moment of contemplation, a faint smile touched Mo Han’s lips. "Great Glory shall be my key, to unlock the door of the obstacle that stands before me. The invisible wall shall be shattered by my hand, and truth shall appear before my eyes—Barrier Dissolution." As Mo Han’s incantation ended, the magical elements around him began to ripple. Then, with a flash of white light before him, two pitch-black figures slowly materialized not far away.

"Kid, how did you know I had set up an Illusionary Barrier here?" one of the dark figures couldn't help but ask.

Mo Han merely smiled, shook his head, and spoke slowly, "Next time you set up these illusory barriers, could you please not make such a fuss? Don’t assume everyone else is an idiot. Do you think the residual magical fluctuations in the air could escape my notice? A joke. Is this the level of magic your Nether race possesses? Still dreaming of ruling the continent?" Mo Han mocked the two Nether beings.

Hearing Mo Han’s words, the other dark figure let out a harsh, cackling laugh. "Kid, don't get cocky. Even if you found us, what then? You’ve only found your own death. Don't blame us; do you think you, a mere Mage, can handle both of us simultaneously?" "You are certainly welcome to try and see if I possess that ability," Mo Han’s voice dripped with immense confidence.

Seeing Mo Han’s demeanor, the two Nether individuals dared not be careless. They exchanged a glance, and one began to chant, preparing to unleash Dark Magic, while the other vigilantly watched Mo Han, holding back his attack. It seemed their plan was to strike when Mo Han was casting to create a combined assault.

How could Mo Han not understand their intention? However, Mo Han had only recently advanced, and he wished to test the extent of his magical attainment. Thus, he decided to confront the two Nether beings with magic alone; otherwise, if Mo Han were to summon the Lightning Beast Xiaolong, defeating them would be certain.

At this moment, the Nether Mage slowly intoned, "That which is darker than darkness... That which is deeper than midnight... Floating upon the chaotic seas... Oh, Golden King of Darkness, I petition you here! I swear to you here! For all foolishness that stands in my path, gather our strength and grant them equal annihilation..." As the Nether being chanted, the darkness in the air around Mo Han noticeably thickened. Seeing this, Mo Han dared not be complacent and quickly began his own chant: "Shining Radiance, please grant me, the helpless, refuge beneath your shelter. External evils shall vanish into nothingness; under the protection of Great Glory, all power shall become void. Appear!—Sacred Light Barrier." A faint white barrier instantly materialized around Mo Han.

This was the strongest defensive magic in Light Magic—the Sacred Light Barrier. When Mo Han fought Xiaolong, it was this barrier that canceled out Xiaolong's lightning attack, which possessed the power equivalent to a Forbidden Spell. One could imagine how immense the resistance of the Sacred Light Barrier was.

While Mo Han was casting, the other Nether Warrior also struck simultaneously, swiftly swinging the weapon in his hand toward Mo Han. However, he had utterly failed to anticipate how fast Mo Han’s casting speed was. Just as the barrier was nearing completion around Mo Han, a white screen of light suddenly appeared before him. Seeing this, the Nether Warrior instinctively swung his weapon against Mo Han's barrier.

But he immediately paid the price. As his weapon met the white screen of light, it suddenly shone brightly. A burst of light erupted, and then the force of the Nether Warrior’s momentum surged back along his weapon toward him. Caught completely off guard, he grunted in pain and was rapidly thrown backward in retreat.

This was the Sacred Light Barrier’s most unique feature: reflective attack. No matter how great your offensive force, the Sacred Light Barrier would reflect it back, unless your attack power exceeded the 'Sacred Light Barrier's' tolerance limit. Otherwise, it was impossible to inflict damage upon Mo Han within the barrier.

The Nether Warrior’s skill was nowhere near the monstrous power of the Nether General required to break the ‘Sacred Light Barrier.’ Although he himself was a Great Swordsman level warrior, facing a Mage who had reached the level of a Saint Magister like Mo Han casting the ‘Sacred Light Barrier,’ the result was predictable. The power of the barrier Mo Han cast was in no way inferior to the barrier specifically set up by the Pope of Light for the Emperor of the Heavenly Dragon Empire, which the Nether General had previously shattered. Therefore, how could this Nether Warrior possibly break it with his current strength?

At this point, the Nether Mage roared, "Darkness Heavenslash!" and a black light, carrying an intense dark aura, shot rapidly toward Mo Han. Along its path, the surrounding flora and trees instantly withered and lost their vitality due to the corrosive effect of the intense dark aura. It was clear that the 'Darkness Heavenslash' was a magic specifically designed to siphon the life force of objects; being hit by it would spell serious trouble.

But Mo Han paid no heed to the incoming attack, for he trusted that although the 'Darkness Heavenslash' possessed considerable power, the 'Sacred Light Barrier's' extraordinary resistance could definitely block this attack. Thus, he felt no worry.

Indeed, the immensely powerful 'Darkness Heavenslash' was entirely blocked by the perverse defensive capability of the Sacred Light Barrier the moment it reached it, causing only a slight ripple on its surface without inflicting any damage on Mo Han.

Seeing this, the Nether Mage’s expression darkened, and he spoke, "It is the Sacred Light Barrier. Are you from the Church of Light? Yet very few people in the Church of Light can deploy the Sacred Light Barrier. Aside from the Eight Great Elders and the Pope, even the Holy Maiden of Light must rely on the power of a Sacred Artifact to cast it. Who exactly are you?" Mo Han was secretly astonished upon hearing this. He hadn't expected the Nether race to be so well-informed about the strength of the Church of Light; they even knew this. It seemed there must be spies from the Nether race within the Church of Light, just like in the Elf Forest. Otherwise, secrets like these, which belonged exclusively to the Church of Light, would be inaccessible to the Nether race.

But Mo Han’s expression remained unchanged. He spoke calmly, "When I send you back to the Netherworld, you can go ask your Nether King then, and you'll know."

Hearing this, the Nether Mage’s face shifted. "Kid, don't be too arrogant. Don't think our Nether race is truly so easy to bully. Today, I will show you the true strength of the Nether race."

After saying this, the Nether Mage pulled out a pitch-black staff from his embrace, bit his fingertip until it bled, and dripped his blood onto the staff. Then, the Mage began to chant in a low voice, "King of Darkness who rules the four realms, by the thread of your fragments, through all your power, grant me greater magic!..."

Mo Han's expression also turned grave upon seeing this. Although Mo Han didn't know exactly what the Nether Mage was casting, based on his understanding of Dark Magic, he could guess that the Mage was employing some kind of wicked dark spell to temporarily boost his own magic power. However, the consequences of such evil magic often involved severe damage to the body, and there was a high probability of death from extreme magical exhaustion. It appeared the Nether Mage was preparing for a death match.

The other Nether Warrior, seeing this, also drew his weapon, cut his finger, and began murmuring incantations. The dark aura surrounding his body suddenly surged significantly; it seemed he was performing the same maneuver as the Mage to temporarily enhance his strength.

Seeing this, Mo Han dared not be careless and immediately became fully alert. He knew that people willing to disregard their own safety often unleash power that exceeds imagination, creating unforeseen effects. Therefore, Mo Han had to be exceptionally cautious.

At this moment, the Nether Mage resumed chanting: "Fallen spirit, by the invitation of the envoy in darkness, open your embrace and devour everything! Let it all be consumed!—Evil Spirit Descent!" As the Nether Mage completed his spell, the entire dense forest began to fill with swirling black mist, and the Mage’s figure gradually vanished, appearing incredibly eerie. Mo Han felt the surrounding air temperature drop. Although he was protected within the barrier and couldn't feel it directly, he could sense it through the movement around him and the intense dark aura in the air.

The spell the Nether Mage was currently casting was clearly a Dark Magic of immense power, which accounted for such a large magical fluctuation. Affected by this spell, Mo Han sensed that the various Magic Sprites drifting in the air were being suppressed by the potent dark aura, making it difficult for them to gather. Mo Han, who could communicate with the Magic Sprites, clearly sensed their panic. This spell obviously had another function: to restrict the casting and power of other magic within its range.

Seeing this, Mo Han quickly began chanting to cast a counter-spell: "Spirit of the King, hear my call! Release the Magic Sprites from their torment and restore their free souls—Light of Deliverance!" Instantly, a pure white sacred light erupted from Mo Han, rushing toward the encroaching black mist. Wherever the sacred light passed, the black mist vanished without a trace, revealing the environment as it was before. The Magic Sprites also regained their original appearance, happily drifting in the air, no longer affected by the powerful dark aura.
