However, it seemed the Holy Light Barrier had managed to block the Thunder Beast’s full-power strike before shattering. Mo Han emerged without a single scratch, though he looked somewhat disheveled.

Seeing that Mo Han was completely unharmed, a look of profound admiration flickered in the Thunder Beast’s eyes. It let out a few soft cries toward Mo Han, as if signifying its submission.

Clearly, the power Mo Han had just displayed had utterly subdued the proud Thunder Beast.

Mo Han smiled at the sight and remarked, “Heh heh, you’re convinced now, aren’t you?” But inwardly, his heart still pounded with lingering fear. He hadn't expected this creature’s strength to be so monstrous; he had nearly been annihilated by that last attack. If he hadn't recently managed to boost his own power, he likely would have been reduced to ash by now.

Hearing Mo Han’s question, the Thunder Beast vigorously nodded its massive head, whimpering to signal its defeat.

Just then, the figures of those Elemental Spirits slowly materialized once more around Mo Han and the Thunder Beast. The leading Elemental Spirit spoke, “Heh heh, congratulations, young man, on successfully subduing the Thunder Beast. That is exceedingly rare among humans; truly remarkable.”

Mo Han immediately turned to them with deep gratitude. “I must thank you seniors for your guidance. Had it not been for your pointers just now, which greatly enhanced my strength, facing that last attack with my former power… I would have been gravely injured, if not killed. So, it is I who should be thanking you seniors.”

The Elemental Spirit chuckled upon hearing this and replied, “Enough with the thanks. Rest well here for now. Once you’ve recovered, I will send you out. Of course, if you encounter anything you don’t understand, you can always find us through that barrier gateway in the Spirit Forest. You are welcome here anytime.”

After saying this, the Elemental Spirits vanished again.

Mo Han didn't even manage to utter his final words of thanks before they were gone, leaving him with no choice but to settle down and focus on meditating. Although he had blocked the Thunder Beast’s full-force blow, the effort had drained the majority of his magic. He needed to recover immediately.

Seeing Mo Han begin his meditation, the Thunder Beast dared not disturb him, content to lie quietly resting not far from Mo Han.

The midsummer Spirit Forest was alive with birdsong and the fragrance of flowers, filled with an air of peace and serenity. Meanwhile, deep within the forbidden grounds of the Spirit Forest, the seven-colored barrier gateway suddenly pulsed, and a figure flickered out from within—it was Mo Han, who had entered the barrier previously.

He walked toward the exit with a relaxed smile, looking utterly content. Over a month had passed since Mo Han first entered the barrier.

Yet, being inside, Mo Han had no idea how much time had actually elapsed. In his perception, he had spent, at most, five or six days inside, calculated according to the time flow within the barrier. In the space created by the Elemental Spirits, time operated under entirely different concepts than the outside world, and the Spirits had neglected to explain this, nor had Mo Han thought to ask.

Consequently, Mo Han was completely oblivious, mistakenly believing he had broken another record by becoming the fastest person to emerge from the barrier.

As he neared the exit, Mo Han suddenly heard a melodious female voice exclaim with surprise, “Is that Mr. Mo Han?” Mo Han swiftly turned toward the sound and saw the female elf, Nice. Nice was gazing at him with intensely excited eyes, her face alight with astonishment.

Mo Han smiled at her reaction. “What’s wrong, little elf? Have you missed me that much after just a few days? But there’s no need to be so dramatic. You look like you’re about to cry—am I really that charming?” Mo Han had expected Nice to scold him soundly after his comment, but instead, Nice simply stared at him without uttering a word. This unnerved Mo Han, who awkwardly added, “Little elf, come on, I know I’m handsome, but staring at me like that makes me feel shy.”

Hearing his words, Nice burst into laughter and replied, “You actually feel shy? Now that is a miracle.”

Mo Han feigned indignation upon hearing this. “Nonsense! Do you think I’m some kind of monster? Anyone would feel awkward being stared at like that; of course, I do too.”

“Right, why were you inside for so long? Don’t you know how worried I… how worried all of us were about you? Your friends arrived a few days ago and just left.”

Nice trailed off mid-sentence, as if letting something slip, and quickly changed her tone, a slight flush rising on her cheeks. However, Mo Han hadn't noticed any of this. Hearing her words, he asked in surprise, “Dali and the others already left? So soon? Have I been inside for a long time? No way, it’s only been a few days!” Nice looked at Mo Han as if he were an oddity. “You’re fast? You honestly don’t know how long you’ve been inside?” Mo Han nodded slowly, hesitantly. “Only a few days for me inside? Is that not right?” Nice explained, “I don’t know what happens inside, but you have been gone for nearly two months. Everyone was worried sick. Your friends waited here for you, but then some urgent matter seemed to arise, so they all left. They instructed me to notify you immediately to go to the Tianlong Empire if I saw you. I’m not very clear on the details—it seems something major has happened on the continent.”

Mo Han could hardly believe his ears. He’d been gone for two months, yet he felt absolutely nothing? This was absurd! Where had the error occurred? But Mo Han couldn't dwell on that now. He turned to Nice and asked, “What major event has happened on the Dragon Soaring Continent? And what about Anna’s situation? Was she rescued?”
