Mo Han turned to look at the Thunder Beast, wanting to see if the creature was exhausted. Such a massive area of magical assault required an astonishing amount of magical energy; if Mo Han had cast it himself, he certainly wouldn't have survived three waves, and he would have been unable to cast any magic for at least several days. But upon seeing the Thunder Beast, Mo Han couldn't help but curse inwardly.

The Thunder Beast was truly monstrously powerful. To unleash magic on such a scale without showing any sign of exhaustion—it seemed as effortless to the creature as eating a meal, completely commonplace.

At that moment, the Thunder Beast was gazing smugly at Mo Han, pleased that its lightning had left him utterly unable to fight back. A triumphant look crossed its eyes, as if mocking him.

Seeing this, Mo Han’s anger flared. To be ridiculed by a magical beast! If this got out, he wouldn't be able to show his face in the community again. Even though the opponent was a Level Ten magical beast, he couldn't just surrender like this, Mo Han thought to himself.

"Damn it, if I don't show you something serious, you’ll think I’m a pushover. At worst, I'll go all out against you."

Mo Han muttered these words to himself.

Just then, another layer of the magical barrier surrounding Mo Han was struck and shattered by the Thunder Beast's lightning. Only the final protective barrier remained. Excitement flickered in the Thunder Beast's eyes; it seemed to already envision Mo Han being torn to shreds by its bolts, eager to see how this human who had caused it trouble would meet his miserable end.

At that instant, the Elementals’ smug voices echoed from the air.

“Kid, now you see how powerful the Thunder Beast is, right? This is its true strength. You can still surrender now; any later, and even I won't be able to save you.”

Mo Han heard this but paid it no mind. Instead, he raised his right hand and began chanting an incantation. A burst of emerald-green light immediately surged from his body.

It enveloped Mo Han entirely, instantly forming a verdant barrier that bathed the entire surrounding forest in green light.

The lightning, which had so easily pulverized Mo Han's previous barriers, struck this green shield. Yet, the barrier showed no real reaction; it merely swayed slightly, as if the lightning were nothing more than an irritating tickle.

The Elementals’ astonished voices rang out again from above. “Impossible! That’s the ‘Sigh of the Goddess of Elements’! Boy, what is your connection to the Elven race? How did the Elven Empress’s divine artifact fall into your hands?”

Mo Han replied without enthusiasm, “What connection? We’re friends, of course.”

The Thunder Beast, seeing its magic nullified, roared in fury. Following the bellow, several even thicker bolts of lightning descended precisely, slamming into the green barrier.

But the impact was like throwing stones into a deep well—silent and without effect. After a slight tremor, the green barrier remained utterly unmoved.

Mo Han watched it all unfold.

He mocked the Thunder Beast, sneering, “Well, what about it, punk? Hit harder! Damn it, you thought I was a sick cat just because the tiger wasn't showing its claws? Now let’s see what else you can do to me!” The Thunder Beast seemed to understand Mo Han’s taunts and let out another furious roar.

Then came an extremely thick bolt of lightning, the size of a water barrel, which struck the green barrier directly. But it was still like shooting cotton at a drum—it vanished without a trace.

After unleashing several high-level spells in quick succession, the Thunder Beast began to show clear signs of fatigue. Mo Han could distinctly see its chest heaving with labored breaths.

At that moment, the Elementals’ voices drifted down from the sky once more. “Little Thunder, stop wasting your energy. You cannot pierce this barrier created by the divine artifact, the ‘Sigh of the Goddess of Elements.’ Go back and rest.”

The usually volatile Thunder Beast actually obeyed the Elemental's command and departed obediently.

Witnessing this, Mo Han nearly stumbled. Damn it, he thought, the Elementals have such creative names. Calling such a massive creature ‘Little Thunder’! I’m truly impressed. That beast is hardly small—it’s several times larger than my own Xiao Mo. If it were me, I’d rather die than come up with a name like that.

Thinking this, Mo Han couldn't help but chuckle softly. Suddenly, the Elemental’s voice drifted down from the air. “Kid, what are you laughing at?” Mo Han quickly shook his head. “Nothing, I wasn’t laughing,” he denied.

No way will I let him know what I was thinking, or this Elemental would surely come to fight me!

Seeing Mo Han refuse to admit it, the Elemental decided not to press the issue. It simply stated, “I didn’t expect you to possess the ‘Sigh of the Goddess of Elements.’ You pass. Traverse the woods, head east until you reach a meadow, and you will find us. We will keep our promise and do our utmost to help you.”

Hearing this, Mo Han quickly offered his thanks and set off in the direction the Elemental had indicated. Since this was his first encounter with the legendary Elementals, Mo Han felt a trace of excitement, and his pace naturally quickened. Before long, he arrived at the meadow the Elemental had described.

Upon reaching the grassland, Mo Han noticed several orbs of multicolored light hovering above the grass. He paused, startled, wondering if these glowing objects were the legendary Elementals. As Mo Han was looking around, the largest orb, positioned directly opposite him, emitted a sound. “Stop looking. We are the Elementals you’ve been searching for. Are you surprised?” Mo Han instantly recognized the voice as that of the Elemental who had been speaking to him earlier. He understood immediately: the multicolored orbs before him were indeed the Elementals he sought. With that realization, Mo Han quickly nodded and spoke, “I am a bit surprised. They are different from what I imagined, so please forgive my rudeness, esteemed seniors.”

When the Elemental heard Mo Han’s answer, it explained, “It’s nothing. Everyone has that expression the first time they see us; you’re actually quite composed. We Elementals are not solid beings; we exist purely as elemental forces. So, your reaction is perfectly normal.”
