What Mo Han called 'Hundred Flower Honey' was a type of liquor unique to the Elven Forest, notoriously difficult to brew. Legend had it that it was distilled from hundreds of different blossoms and medicinal herbs. Not only was its flavor exquisite, but it was also reputed to bestow longevity upon those who drank it. Consequently, it had always been a highly coveted delicacy among the nobility of every kingdom on the continent. However, the supply of Hundred Flower Honey was exceedingly scarce, and the Elven Forest rarely offered it for sale, making its value exceed that of gold—it was the kind of treasure money couldn't buy, illustrating its profound preciousness.
Upon hearing this, Airey threw back his head and laughed heartily. "No problem at all. As long as the young brother successfully emerges, while Hundred Flower Honey from the Elven Forest is precious, if you wish to taste it, I, an old man, am hardly so stingy. I will certainly let you drink your fill. If you need it, I can even send some your way, that's no issue at all."
Mo Han heard this and immediately broke into a smile, addressing Elder Airey with the textbook tone of a 'wolf's grandmother' [a colloquialism suggesting sly pretense]: "Hehe, does that mean I can take as much as I can carry? Then I must thank you profusely, Elder."
Airey, though sensing a malicious glint in Mo Han's smile, couldn't quite discern the issue. Moreover, the words were already spoken, and he trusted that Mo Han couldn't possibly carry that much wine anyway. Thus, he readily agreed.
Mo Han offered his contented thanks, turned to bid farewell to Airey and the Elven Queen, and then set off toward the Elven Forbidden Ground.
Niss, who was tasked with guarding the Forbidden Ground, spoke plainly to Mo Han. "Follow me. I will take you to the entrance." Having said this, she turned and led Mo Han deeper into the forest.
Mo Han quickly offered his thanks and followed closely behind Niss as they proceeded forward.
In just a few moments, Mo Han and Niss arrived before a shimmering, seven-colored curtain of light. Gazing upon this spectral barrier, Mo Han exclaimed in surprise, "It's an All-Element Magic Barrier! This is incredible. Didn't they say All-Element Magic Barriers vanished long ago? How can such a thing still exist here? Do your Elven people also have All-Element Mages?" Niss shook her head. "I am not clear on that. This barrier has existed concurrently with the Forbidden Ground since its inception. Only the successive Elven Queens know how to activate it. Her Majesty the Queen has already activated it just now, so you may enter."
"Heh heh. Thank you very much, Niss."
Mo Han offered Niss a warm smile before walking toward the light curtain.
Just as he was about to step through, Niss suddenly called out, "Wait a moment, Mo Han."
Seeing Mo Han turn his head with a look of curiosity fixed on her, Niss felt her face flush slightly. She managed to say, "You must be very careful in there. No human has ever entered the Elven Forbidden Ground before. So, if you encounter any danger inside, you must not try to be overly brave, understood?" Mo Han grinned wickedly. "Hehe. You're worried about me, aren't you? Alas, it's a nuisance being this handsome; I attract admirers wherever I go."
Niss let out an exasperated scold. "Go die! You are utterly shameless. Who's worried about you? I'm worried that if you die inside, who will come to save the Princess? Otherwise, I truly couldn't care less about your fate. I won't waste any more breath on you. It would be best if you died in there."
After speaking, Niss turned and fled quickly.
This left Mo Han standing in place with a roguish smirk. "Is there a need for such an intense reaction? This girl—it’s fine if she isn't—why curse me? Honestly. Heh heh, it's just impossible when one is too charming."
Mo Han thought this narcissistically.
With that reflection, he shook his head and walked into the multicolored light curtain.
The moment he stepped inside the barrier, Mo Han realized what the Elven Queen had said was true. Although he hadn't truly doubted the Queen’s words, a sense of disbelief still lingered in his heart. But upon witnessing the actual scenery beyond the barrier, Mo Han was utterly convinced, marveling at the wonder of Spatial Magic. Mo Han currently stood atop a towering cliff. The Elven Forest, in all directions, was flat terrain; even small hills were rare, let alone mountains.
Behind the cliff face stretched an endless, boundless ocean. Standing on the precipice, Mo Han could clearly hear the sound of waves crashing against the rocks. The entire vista was so magnificent and perfect that it inspired a feeling of sublime tranquility.
However, Mo Han did not have the luxury of time to admire this beautiful scenery. He turned to survey his surroundings and noticed that within the barrier, it was currently high noon—no difference in time from the outside world. Ahead of him lay a dense thicket. Just as Mo Han was pondering his next move, a voice reached him, "So, it's a human? How did you enter this space?" Mo Han quickly turned to search but could see no shadow whatsoever. Just then, another voice spoke up. "No need to look. We can see you, but you cannot see us, so searching further is useless. Did the Elven race allow you entry?" Mo Han could detect no emotional fluctuation in the speaker's tone, making him hesitant to answer casually.
He opted instead to reply respectfully. "I am Chen Mo Han. I did not intend to disturb the repose of the esteemed seniors. However, I have encountered insurmountable difficulties in comprehending certain matters of magic, reaching a bottleneck. Having long heard the great reputation of the Elemental Spirits, I ventured here rashly. I sincerely hope the esteemed seniors might offer some guidance. I ask for your forgiveness for this intrusion."
At this point, the first Elemental Spirit who spoke continued, "Very good. You are forthright, much better than those hypocritical humans. It has been a long time since a human entered the Seven-Colored Space. To think that, besides him [referring to a prior individual], another could enter the Seven-Colored Space. It seems destiny has favored you; even if the Elven race allowed your entry, without the recognition of the Seven-Colored Barrier, you could never have reached this place. However, this does not mean you will receive the answers you seek. If you truly wish to find the knowledge you need, then traverse this forest. Upon reaching the other side, you will meet us and receive the answers you require. But if you fail, you will be trapped within this dense wood forever. Do you understand?"
