Only one person could be the ideal target: the Elven little princess, Anna. If the Elven Princess were assassinated, Mo Han would be the only human in the entire Elven Forest, and indeed, the only one with the strength to pull it off. Trimo and the others had already witnessed his power; the Elves’ first suspect would undoubtedly be him. Furthermore, with their Princess murdered, how could the enraged Elves possibly listen to any explanation he offered?

The thought sent a cold sweat down Mo Han’s spine, worrying for Anna’s safety. He hesitated no longer.

He swiftly pursued the location indicated by the Light Jade Token. However, after circling the area rapidly in the air, Mo Han realized the token had only provided the initial signal before becoming completely inert, just like last time. The surroundings were quiet, and since Mo Han didn't know Anna's exact residence, anxiety began to gnaw at him.

If he were even one minute late, Anna could already be in danger.

Just then, a patrol of Elven guards marched towards him. Mo Han disregarded protocol and plunged down from the sky, startling the group of guards who immediately raised their weapons, staring at him with vigilance.

Seeing this, Mo Han spoke urgently, “I am the human who entered today. I need to ask you where Princess Anna’s chambers are. Tell me quickly; time is critical.”

But how could those Elven guards reveal Anna’s location to Mo Han? Although they knew a human had entered the Elven Forest, none of them had actually seen Mo Han’s face.

They certainly didn’t recognize him, so they instantly treated Mo Han as an intruder, watching him with wary expressions, utterly unconvinced by his words.

Mo Han realized he had been too abrupt, but he had no time to explain everything to them now. Knowing they wouldn't tell him anyway, he was just about to turn and continue his search when the Elven guards refused to let him leave.

They quickly surrounded him, clearly preparing for a fight.

At that moment, a voice called out from the periphery, “What is happening?” Mo Han quickly focused his gaze and saw Elder Lu Yi, the one he had met during the day. Lu Yi stood behind the Elven guards, looking at Mo Han with a cold expression. However, Mo Han wasn't about to quibble with him. Seeing someone he recognized, his heart leaped with relief, and he urgently called out, “Elder Lu Yi, it’s me, Chen Mo Han. I suspect the Nether Race is planning to assassinate Princess Anna. Time is short; tell me Princess Anna’s location quickly, or it will be too late.”

Lu Yi’s expression flickered slightly upon hearing Mo Han, but he quickly regained his composure, speaking coldly, “Mr. Mo Han, are you jesting? On what grounds do you make such an assertion? This Elven Forest is heavily guarded; how could any members of the Nether Race possibly infiltrate it? Instead, you are here so late, not resting in your quarters, causing a confrontation with our guards. While you are a guest of our Elven race, it does not grant you license to act as you please.”

Seeing that Lu Yi completely avoided his question and immediately cast suspicion upon him, Mo Han, under normal circumstances, would certainly have retorted with sharp sarcasm. But now, Mo Han simply didn't have the time to waste on him. He patiently explained, “Elder, do you remember me mentioning the Light Jade Token I possess? It was that token that gave me the warning, which is why I realized the Nether Race had infiltrated. Their target must undoubtedly be Princess Anna; there is no mistake. There is no time for explanations now; quickly tell me where Princess Anna is.”

Hearing Mo Han’s explanation, the expressions of all the Elven guards changed. They began to hesitate, clearly leaning toward believing what Mo Han had said. But then, only Lu Yi’s cold snort cut through the air: “Don’t think you can get away with fabricating excuses. No one will believe the nonsense you spout about trespassing in our Elven Forest tonight. I suggest you return quietly. Tomorrow, I will report this to the Queen, and Her Majesty will decide the course of action.”

Mo Han couldn't help but grow furious. He spoke coldly, “Elder Lu Yi, while I don't understand why you insist on stalling and preventing me from saving Anna, if you do not step aside now, do not blame me for being impolite. If anything happens to Anna, I will hold you accountable.”

As Mo Han finished speaking, a powerful aura erupted from him, pressing directly toward Lu Yi, who stood not far away.

Lu Yi’s face drastically changed. Under the pressure of Mo Han’s immense presence, he began to tremble. Lu Yi hurriedly cast a magical shield upon himself, and instantly, a golden ring of light rippled around him. Aided by the shield, Lu Yi’s complexion gradually returned to normal.

Lu Yi roared furiously, “You dare to strike me within the Elven Forest! You clearly have no regard for our Elven race. What are you all standing there for? Seize him!”

Hearing Lu Yi’s command, the Elven guards brandished their weapons and charged toward Mo Han. Seeing this, Mo Han let out a cold snort: “Anyone who dares interfere with my rescue of Anna today will face my wrath.”

As Mo Han finished speaking, his entire figure dissolved into a streak of white light, plunging into the encircling Elven guards. Shrieks of pain immediately erupted. How could ordinary Elven guards possibly stand against Mo Han, whose cultivation had already reached the Sword Saint level? Wherever Mo Han passed, the guards were flung away, howling on the ground in agony. This was only because Mo Han saw they were acting under Lu Yi’s orders and not entirely by choice, so he held back his full strength; otherwise, none of those guards would have survived.

At that moment, a flash of fire suddenly appeared before Mo Han. He turned his head in surprise to see an eighth-level, high-tier single-target attack magic, 'Breath of Combustion,' hurtling toward him.

Mo Han was inwardly shocked, sighing at Lu Yi’s skill—to be able to launch an eighth-level fire spell in such a short time. He admitted he couldn't do it that fast, proving that the strength of Elven mages was indeed extraordinary.

However, Mo Han was also a mage and naturally knew the weakness of the terrifyingly potent 'Breath of Combustion.' With a cold snort, Mo Han casually snatched a long saber from one of the fallen Elven guards, abruptly accelerating his movement, channeling his Battle Qi, and slashing the blade directly into the center of the flame. A flash of white light erupted, and the fire vanished completely. The fearsome eighth-level fire magic was shattered by Mo Han in the blink of an eye.

Witnessing this, every Elf’s expression shifted dramatically, including Elder Lu Yi. They could not fathom how an eighth-level spell could be broken so easily by Mo Han; it completely exceeded their wildest imagination. Lu Yi, meanwhile, was astonished: How could Mo Han instantly discern the weakness within his spell and neutralize it with a single strike? This seemed virtually impossible.

In truth, Lu Yi and the others couldn't be faulted, as they had no idea Mo Han was a dual cultivator of both magic and martial arts. Not only had his martial skill reached the Sword Saint standard, but his understanding of magic was no less profound than theirs. This allowed him to instantly pinpoint the spell's vulnerability using his magical knowledge and then shatter it with Battle Qi. Yet, this singular ability, this mastery, was likely unmatched by anyone else in existence besides Mo Han.

After shattering Lu Yi’s spell, Mo Han made no further pause, instead charging forward at incredible speed. He left behind Lu Yi and the others standing stunned and immobilized, etched with deep awe for Mo Han. The feat he had just displayed had entirely overturned their conventional understanding of power, so seeing Lu Yi frozen, they didn't know how to react and remained rooted to the spot.

Lu Yi watched Mo Han's receding figure, his face grim. After a moment of deep thought, Lu Yi calmly addressed the remaining Elven guards, “That is all. You are dismissed.”

Heeding Lu Yi’s command, the Elven guards sheathed their weapons and saluted him before departing.

After leaving Lu Yi’s group, Mo Han bolted toward a brightly lit, grand structure. When Anna guided him through that area earlier in the day, Mo Han had noted the architecture was noticeably superior to the surrounding buildings, and he had also spotted numerous hidden sentries. He had thus guessed this must be the Elven Queen’s residence, otherwise, the security would not be so intense. His suspicion was later confirmed by Anna herself, which is why Mo Han headed there immediately.
