Dai Li heard this, quickly ran off shyly, and called out, "I'm not listening! You go tell Xue'er instead."
Mu Rong Feixue heard this and, though unsure what Dai Li was referring to, could tell from her expression it wasn't something good. She quickly shook her head and said, "I don't want to hear it either, Brother Mo Han. Just tell Latin and the others, or you can just tell Xiao Mo."
Hearing Mu Rong Feixue’s words, Dai Li laughed so hard she couldn't stand up straight, and even Guang Lei and the others smiled as they watched Mo Han and the others.
Mo Han, however, looked astonished and said, "Xue'er, you really have a way of thinking! Telling Latin and them? I’m afraid they might faint! Heh heh, alright, let’s study my method first."
Hearing Mo Han's reply, everyone’s attention returned to the syringe.
Having never seen such an object before, Guang Lei and the others felt a stir of curiosity, each picking up the syringe Mo Han needed and examining it closely.
Seeing this, Mo Han quickly explained the purpose of the syringe to them. Guang Lei and the other Ascetic Elders were greatly surprised upon hearing this use; it was the first time they had heard of such a thing. On this Dragon Ascent Continent, ordinary citizens who fell ill would simply seek out a Priest, and Priests could resolve all manner of issues. There was no such profession as a doctor, let alone a syringe.
Guang Lei spoke up, "Young friend, I never expected you to know so many novel things.
The longer I know you, the more astonished this old man becomes. No wonder that old fellow Guang Huo says every day that you are a truly unique person; it is absolutely true."
Mo Han sounded slightly awkward hearing Guang Lei’s words. "Elder, could you perhaps refrain from using the word 'unique'? It sounds a bit strange."
Guang Lei burst into laughter. "That wasn't my saying! I was merely relaying the exact words of that old immortal to you, hehe. If you dislike it...
...then go argue with him. Actually, I agree it's not the best word either, hehe."
Mo Han inwardly cursed, This old fox. He clearly knows I won't argue with Guang Huo, yet he acts like he's standing up for me. I'm not that foolish to fall for it.
Just then.
Shui Ling'er spoke, "Alright, shouldn't we first see how to begin?" Hearing this, Mo Han quickly patted Natasha’s small face, who had been standing beside him, and said with a smile, "Little Natasha, do you trust your Brother Mo Han? This is for a good cause, and it might hurt a little, but I promise it will be over quickly. What do you think?" Natasha nodded immediately, "I trust Brother Mo Han. You and Sister Dai Li are the best to Natasha. Natasha isn't afraid. Sister Dai Li and the others already told me yesterday."
Hearing this, Mo Han no longer hesitated. He picked up the syringe, rolled up the sleeve on Natasha’s small arm, and began preparing to draw blood.
Although this was Mo Han's first time doing this, because his mother was a nurse back on Earth, he was quite familiar with these things. Without any surprises, he successfully drew a good amount of blood from Natasha.
Afterward, Mo Han cast a High-Level Healing Spell on Natasha’s small arm to help her. While it was perhaps overkill for the almost invisible wound on her arm, none of the onlookers found it inappropriate; they considered it entirely natural.
Having finished this task quickly, Mo Han asked Dai Li and the others to wait while he, Guang Lei, and Lyle went into a secret chamber already prepared for the experiment. Inside, several infected civilians were confined as Mo Han had requested. These were his test subjects for this endeavor. Mo Han followed the same procedure, injecting the blood with Natasha’s immunity-conferring properties into the civilians. All that remained was to wait, observe, and leave the rest to fate.
Everyone spent the night with anxious hearts. The next morning, Lyle appeared, visibly surprised, to tell Mo Han that the infected civilians from yesterday had genuinely begun to improve and were slowly returning to a normal state, urging Mo Han to come and see immediately.
Mo Han didn't hesitate, quickly following Lyle to the room used for yesterday's trial. Guang Lei and the others were already waiting there. Upon seeing Mo Han arrive, Guang Lei happily clapped Mo Han on the shoulder and praised him, "Young friend, this old man is truly impressed. I never thought this method would actually work. You have certainly opened my eyes!"
Mo Han smiled and said, "I was just trying my best. I didn't realize how many infected civilians there were. If there are too many, Natasha's blood alone will definitely not be enough. That would be troublesome then."
Guang Lei quickly responded, "That is not something to worry about. Due to that Forbidden Spell, most of the infected people have vanished. Only a small portion remains—they were only recently infected and haven't been afflicted for long. That is why they didn't obey the mysterious person's commands, which was a narrow escape for them. Furthermore, following the method you suggested, we have found two more civilians who, like Natasha, are immune to this virus, and we are prepared to begin treatment using your method. I believe these shouldn't be a major issue."
As Guang Lei spoke, he looked somewhat hesitant. "It's just the method and procedure for injection. I wonder if it would be convenient for the young friend to impart this knowledge to some of the Priests of the Church of Light so they can independently treat these patients and not consume the young friend's time?"
In Guang Lei’s mind, he believed these techniques were Mo Han’s private secrets, and if Mo Han was unwilling to share, it would be understandable, which is why he posed the request in this manner.
Hearing Guang Lei’s words, Mo Han readily agreed to his request. These things were not his invention in the first place; he was merely presenting a gift on someone else's behalf. There was no need to hoard the knowledge, and doing so would save him a lot of time—a win-win situation. Thus, he agreed to Guang Lei’s request without hesitation.
Seeing Mo Han agree without even a hint of hesitation, Guang Lei looked at him with deep admiration. "There are truly few people as broad-minded as the young friend nowadays. On behalf of those infected common people, this old man thanks you."
Mo Han quickly waved his hands. "I only saw this in ancient texts; it doesn't truly belong to me. Elder, you flatter me too much."
A rare expression of embarrassment appeared on Mo Han's face, which Shui Ling'er observed from the side, staring at him with an amused, subtle smile, as if she was relishing this rare moment of seeing Mo Han look flustered.
Mo Han pretended not to notice and quickly changed the subject, demanding that Guang Lei immediately arrange some people so he could begin teaching right away.
In the following few days, Mo Han taught the Priests of the Church of Light some basic medical nursing knowledge. The rest of his time was spent taking Natasha, Dai Li, and the others to tour the scenic spots around Imar City—a rare opportunity to relax. Since arriving on this otherworldly continent, Mo Han had never felt so carefree. He felt this kind of life was quite good and wished he could stay here forever, accompanying Dai Li and the others until they grew old.
However, this was just imagination, impossible to realize. If for no other reason, there was the unresolved enmity between Dai Li and the Water Blue Empire that Mo Han could not ignore. Moreover, deep in his heart, Mo Han still wished to improve his cultivation to see if there was any chance of returning to Earth. Although Mo Han didn't know what he would choose if that day ever came, he first needed to find a way back.
After a few days of rest, the Fei Yun group finally decided to leave Imar City and begin their new adventure. During this time, Dai Li completed the mission handover procedures with Cody and received their reward experience points. Mo Han and his group were no longer the D-Rank mercenary team they once were.
After this mission, Fei Yun successfully leveled up to qualify as an A-Rank mercenary team. Gazing at the gleaming golden A-Rank emblem, the members of Fei Yun were ecstatic for an entire day. Latin and Yan Shi, in particular, walked around constantly wearing the A-Rank emblem, making Mo Han shake his head repeatedly. The women, like Dai Li, merely found it amusing, but they clearly enjoyed the feeling of promotion. If Mo Han hadn't strongly insisted, they probably would have slept wearing the emblems.
After bidding farewell to Shui Ling'er and the others, Mo Han requested Shui Ling'er to assign people to escort Natasha and Toby to the Duke's Mansion currently under construction for him in Tianlong City. Mo Han also wrote a letter instructing Shui Ling'er to have someone deliver it to Marco, telling him to take good care of little Natasha. During their upcoming adventures, no one could guarantee what might happen, and bringing Natasha and Toby along would certainly be inconvenient.
Although Natasha was reluctant when she heard Mo Han's arrangement, she obediently agreed. Escorted by the Paladins of the Church of Light, she and Toby set off for the Tianlong Empire.
