Solomon, too, saw Robin, and was stunned to realize she was just a child! Thinking he must have misheard, he quickly turned to cast a doubtful look at Angelia.
“You want me to spar with her?” Solomon asked, bewildered.
A cold sneer escaped Angelia’s lips. “Yes, her!”
Angelia was absolutely convinced that this little girl, Robin, could absolutely win dignity for them women!
Who said women were inferior to men? Angelia was determined to show this arrogant fellow that even among their circle of women, there were masters who could strike true fear into the heart!
“You’re not joking, are you? Sparring with a child!” Solomon’s eyes widened in disbelief. He truly couldn’t fathom what scheme this woman was brewing!
“From your tone, it sounds like you look down on children?” Angelia retorted coldly.
Since witnessing the strength of both Zhong Shenxiu and Robin, Angelia’s entire outlook on life and the world had fundamentally shifted. In the past, she too would have scorned children, viewing them as symbols of fragility. But not anymore. She dared not underestimate a child now, for the images of Zhong Shenxiu and Robin were permanently seared into the deepest recesses of her soul!
Children were seriously formidable!
Seeing Solomon remain silent, Angelia pressed on, “After sparring with her, you will understand just how insignificant and ignorant you truly are!”
Although Angelia couldn't yet prove with her own hands that a female swordsman could surpass a male swordsman, this little girl before her—Robin—absolutely could!
Angelia couldn’t explain why, but seeing Robin filled her with a strange joy. It was as if fate had specially arranged this; Robin’s appearance perfectly echoed the sentiment of her heart!
In reality, this was no divine arrangement, but purely a coincidence!
Ever since Zhong Shenxiu entered seclusion, Robin hadn't known what she was supposed to do. Suddenly having to act alone felt unnatural! Fortunately, before entering meditation, Zhong Shenxiu had instructed her that if she found herself with nothing else to do, she should go gather herbs.
Robin reasoned that since she had nothing better planned, collecting herbs would both solidify her knowledge of medicinal ingredients and help her Master stockpile rare treasures. Thus, Robin ventured into the Demonic Beast Forest to forage.
She had been out for three or four hours, and as dusk began to settle, she decided it was time to head back. Little did she know that such a bizarre coincidence awaited her; she ran straight into Angelia and Solomon, who were locked in a tense dispute!
Solomon was growing increasingly perplexed by this woman. Judging by the seriousness of her expression, she didn’t seem to be joking.
But to spar with a little girl who hadn’t even fully grown her adult teeth—wouldn't that make him the laughingstock of everyone? He’d sooner play along with her! Solomon found Angelia’s suggestion utterly unacceptable.
Angelia’s eyes were fixed intently on Robin. The image of that small frame had played through her mind countless times! Seeing her now felt like her soul was once again immersed in that terrifying aura of impending death!
The feeling was one of tension, of excitement, and an indescribable surge of emotion!
“Hey, if you’re making me spar with her, you should at least tell me her name, right?” Solomon asked, looking at the resolute Angelia.
Angelia glanced at him but offered no reply. Partly because she didn’t know Robin’s real name, and partly because Robin was already approaching them.
Robin had noticed both Angelia and Solomon long ago, but she paid them no mind, walking on as if they weren't even there!
“Hey there, little sister, stop for a moment. Big brother has something to ask you!” Just as Robin was about to pass Solomon, he suddenly blocked her path.
Robin fixed him with a gaze ten times colder than Angelia’s. She didn’t speak, but her look clearly conveyed her meaning: What do you want?
Angelia had just been wondering where the little boy accompanying Robin had gone, but when she saw Solomon intercepting Robin, her heart clenched unexpectedly, and she stared at Robin with intense anxiety.
“What’s your name, little sister?” Solomon tried to make polite conversation first.
But Robin was completely immune to his charm, her gaze remaining icy cold!
Solomon, foolishly assuming he had scared her, quickly added, “Little sister, don’t be afraid. Big brother isn’t a bad person!”
Robin remained silent, her stare unwavering.
Angelia was speechless toward Solomon. She couldn't believe he was taking her exasperated words seriously. Did he really intend to spar with this little girl?
Angelia was genuinely tense now. While she didn't care for Solomon, she certainly didn't want him walking into his doom. Angelia knew the reality: no matter how strong Solomon might be, utter defeat was the only possible outcome against Robin!
Solomon felt a surge of frustration. In his mind, why were the females in this region so difficult to deal with!
“Little sister, you…” Before Solomon could finish, he was interrupted by a chilling voice.
“Move aside!”
Though only two words, the meaning conveyed was unmistakable. A flicker of impatience seemed to cross Robin’s eyes!
Solomon remained foolishly rooted to the spot, clearly taken aback by the sudden sharpness in the little girl’s tone. He hadn't expected someone so young to speak with such arrogance!
Solomon was not insignificant; he held some standing at the ‘At-Home Magic & Martial Arts Academy’! Normally, he was quite brazen, but being in an unfamiliar place and facing two ladies kept his usual attitude in check!
Yet, he hadn't anticipated that the women here were one fiercer than the other!
When Solomon’s stubborn streak flared up, he ignored everything else. He genuinely wanted to see what this little girl could do if he refused to step aside—could she possibly eat him?
So, Solomon stood his ground, meeting Robin’s gaze with an expression that clearly stated, I’m standing here. What are you going to do about it?
Robin clearly sensed Solomon’s refusal to move, and her gaze grew even colder!
On the side, Angelia had been meticulously observing Robin’s every move. Seeing the sudden change in Robin’s expression, her heart skipped a beat.
Angelia knew this particular look on Robin all too well; it was the same ice-cold expression Robin had worn when slaughtering those from the 'Double Axe Mercenary Group' that day.
Angelia didn't know where the courage or impetus came from, but she lunged forward in a single stride, intending to pull Solomon out of the way.
But she was a step too late, because Robin had moved!
