"Solomon, are you trying to kill me! Look where you're aiming before you fire that spell!" Solomon roared in frustration.
The 'Spear of the Earth' Thomas had just launched had nearly pierced Solomon’s thigh; it was only due to his quick reaction that he avoided a much more serious fate!
"My apologies, that was purely accidental!" Thomas offered, sounding contrite.
It truly was a misfire on his part, as Cherry had distracted him just then, compounded by the approaching horde of mutated Skeleton Warriors. His panic had cost him his precision!
"Pay attention next time! If you can't help, don't actively hinder!" Solomon shouted again.
Thomas merely offered an apologetic smile and kept silent, knowing it was best to say less right now!
Cherry, watching the ridiculous exchange between the two, couldn't help but let out a peal of laughter. She turned to the sulking Thomas and teased, "See? And you were blaming me! Aren't you just as good at causing trouble?"
It seemed this little girl was thoroughly enjoying his misfortune!
"This is all your fault! If you hadn't insisted on helping, would I have been distracted? If I hadn't been distracted, would I have missed?"
"How can you blame me? It's clearly because your skills are lacking that you missed the target!" Cherry countered, pouting.
"No matter how lacking my skills might be, I'm still better than you. At least I didn't make those Skeleton Warriors start jumping around alive and kicking!"
"What does it have to do with me that they suddenly came back to life?" Cherry sounded rather uncertain.
"You can underestimate my intelligence, but don't underestimate my eyes. The public has sharp eyes, and if it wasn't you, who else could it have been!?"
"You're bullying me! I'm going to find Teacher Elena to settle this!" Cherry couldn't muster a proper comeback after stewing on it for so long!
She was still too naive, completely outmatched in the war of words against the glib Thomas. Reduced to retreat in just a few exchanges, she had no choice but to run and complain to her teacher, Elena!
"Teacher Elena, make Thomas behave! He's bullying me!" Cherry tugged on Elena’s sleeve, launching into her complaint with a wronged expression!
Though she called it 'settling things,' it was clearly just tattling—that’s just how girls are!
Elena was intensely focused on observing the battle; she had no patience for distractions right now. She placated Cherry with a hurried response: "Our Cherry is the best, pay him no mind. A good girl doesn't squabble with boys! Let him talk; he’s actually just jealous of you! Jealous of our little genius—Cherry!"
Cherry truly deserved the title of a minor prodigy; at only fifteen, she was on the verge of graduating from the 'Hikikomori Martial Arts and Magic Academy,' three years ahead of everyone else. Such natural talent wasn't something just anyone possessed! It was rare even within the Academy walls!
Hearing Elena's words instantly balanced Cherry's mood. She pulled a face at Thomas, stuck out her tongue, and declared, "That’s right, a good girl doesn't fight with boys!"
Although Thomas heard her, he didn't argue further, realizing this wasn't the time for bickering.
However, though his mouth was silent, his mind couldn't help but think: A good girl? You think you're some 'Super Girl'? I think you’re just a little brat!
Solomon’s battle with the Skeleton Warriors seemed to have reached its crescendo.
Relying on his formidable abilities and rich combat experience, Solomon managed to cleave through more than a dozen Skeleton Warriors after a desperate struggle. While he himself remained unscathed, his clothes were less fortunate, torn to shreds by the monsters' claws, leaving him looking quite ragged!
"Dark clouds in the sky, spirits of the atmosphere, heed my call and gather by my side! Reveal your sorrow, shatter all that is in this world, and welcome the arrival of the God of Destruction—Thunderfall!"
Seeing Solomon's stamina draining rapidly, Elena finally moved to lend assistance. She had held back earlier because this served as excellent real-world training for Solomon, and she also wanted to observe the peculiar nature of these Skeleton Warriors.
In an instant, the world seemed to dim. Vast amounts of lightning magic elements rapidly converged before Elena. Immediately, a constant crackling sound filled the air, followed by streaks of ethereal blue light manifesting around her body.
This was the precursor to Elena’s lightning spell, 'Thunderfall'!
As the Lightning Magic teacher at the 'Hikikomori Martial Arts and Magic Academy,' she absolutely would not allow her student to fight alone!
Thomas, seeing his teacher Elena finally enter the fray, was astonished yet felt his blood boil. A certain something deep inside him awakened his combat instincts!
This time, he too decided he needed to show his true strength!
"O passionate Fire Spirits! Lend me your power! O elements of Fire! Under the spirits' command, transform into indestructible Blazing Flames!"
"Ye molecules of Flame, condense in my hands, and as I swing my arc, carve out a perfect crimson fan shape!—The Dancing Fan of Flame!"
"O Crimson Lotus Fairies, exhale the breath of flame, incinerate the bodies of all enemies!"
"..."
Thomas unleashed four or five high-level fire spells in quick succession, a feat alone that demonstrated his power!
As a student of the 'Hikikomori Martial Arts and Magic Academy,' as one of the chosen elites, and as a dual-element mage, he certainly had grounds for pride!
With the support of two great magic masters, the pressure on Solomon instantly eased!
At this point, his fighting spirit was fully ignited. He knew it was time to finish this; time to bring an end to this pointless battle!
His battle aura flared, its golden-yellow color becoming vividly bright, like a burning flame. He was finally about to unleash the technique he had only recently mastered—the Wind Wheel Slash!
Without any hesitation, Solomon transformed into a rapidly spinning wheel of wind, unstoppable in its path!
With the coordination of the three of them, in the blink of an eye, the Skeleton Warriors were once again completely neutralized!
However, Solomon was now panting heavily, sweat drenching his brow; it was clear his stamina had been significantly depleted!
Despite this, they could still see the thrill of battle blazing in his eyes!
"Teacher Elena, let me cast a fire spell to completely incinerate these Skeleton Warriors and prevent them from resurrecting!" Thomas said, deliberately glancing at Cherry with meaning, as if to say, This time, I won't need your purification, even if it kills me!
"Yes, you have a point!" Elena agreed.
Since the Skeleton Warriors had already lost their mobility, Thomas only needed a Level Four spell to reduce them all to charcoal!
These Skeleton Warriors were now nothing more than powdery ash; even if Zhong Shenxiu himself were present, he couldn't bring them back to life!
This naturally led to a question: If Zhong Shenxiu were to learn of this development, would he lose control?
It certainly made one look forward to the possibility!
