Old Danny and Laurent stepped out to the front yard and sure enough, three people were waiting there, presumably the prospective buyers.
Upon approaching, Laurent immediately recognized the three—they were the same group mentioned earlier in the book: Great Swordsman Albert, Grand Magus Anthony, and the youth Aaron, all of whom they had encountered at a restaurant.
"Hello, you must be Mr. Danny. We are here to discuss the purchase of this house," Albert stepped forward quickly, addressing Old Danny.
"Hello, a very warm welcome. Please, come inside!" Old Danny cordially ushered the three into the living room.
Laurent, initially, hadn't paid much attention to the trio; people often sought to buy property from his father, so it was hardly unusual. However, when his gaze inadvertently fell upon Aaron, his eyes immediately lit up, and he walked straight over.
"You're also from the 'Zhen Shi Xun Magic and Martial Academy'?" Laurent asked in surprise, staring at the emblem on Aaron's chest.
It was a rather unique badge, about the size of a bottle cap, with a silver-white exterior engraved with distinctive runes that caught the light strikingly.
Laurent was genuinely surprised to run into a schoolmate at his own home; the coincidence was extraordinary (given the immense size of the 'Zhen Shi Xun Magic and Martial Academy,' it was perfectly normal for students not to know one another!).
Aaron blinked in surprise for a moment, then recovered, his face lighting up with equal pleasure. "I am! I just recently enrolled at the 'Zhen Shi Xun Magic and Martial Academy' as a new student. Are you one too?"
"I'm also from the 'Zhen Shi Xun Magic and Martial Academy,' but I'm not a new student. You must be in your first year; I'm already in my third year, so I suppose I'm your senior," Laurent said enthusiastically.
"Um, Senior, I'm not in the first year. Because two of my uncles know someone at the 'Zhen Shi Xun Magic and Martial Academy,' I was placed directly into the second year," Aaron said happily, equally astonished by the cosmic coincidence of meeting a senior here.
A new student straight into the second year?
Laurent was astounded. One didn't simply skip grades at the 'Zhen Shi Xun Magic and Martial Academy'! He figured that the 'acquaintance' must be at least at the director level to possess such authority!
Laurent couldn't help but look at Aaron a few more times.
Ah, I remember now! Laurent suddenly recalled something. Teacher Benson gave us half a day off recently, saying a new student was arriving—could that have been him?
Though he thought this, Laurent didn't ask. After all, bringing up such a matter of 'pulling strings' would only create awkwardness for both parties!
"Laurent, you're from the same school!" Old Danny interjected from the side.
"Ahhh!" Aaron's eyes widened, looking at Laurent with visible excitement, as if discovering a new continent. "Senior, so you are Laurent! Your name is the one I hear the most at school. They all say you are incredibly powerful!"
Laurent was clearly taken aback by Aaron's fervor, forcing an awkward smile, while privately wondering: Why do I suddenly feel like a celebrity? Am I really that famous?
"I'm really just like everyone else; nothing special about me," Laurent replied modestly.
"I hope you'll guide me often in the future, Senior. My name is Aaron, and I am currently a student in 'Magic and Martial Class Two-Three,'" Aaron remained very excited.
"You're dual-cultivating magic and martial arts?" Laurent was visibly startled. Few people cultivated both magic and qi simultaneously! In their 'Zhen Shi Xun Magic and Martial Academy,' there were only a handful of classes dedicated to that path.
"Yes!" Aaron nodded in affirmation.
"That’s truly remarkable! Dual cultivation isn't something just anyone can achieve!" Laurent praised him sincerely.
"It’s nothing much, really. All my skills were taught to me by my two uncles," Aaron admitted a bit bashfully.
Albert and Anthony watched Aaron and Laurent chatting so congenially, both expressions filled with relief.
Initially, they had worried that Aaron, as a transfer student, might face exclusion from his peers. Now, it seemed that worry was entirely misplaced. Judging by Laurent's demeanor, the students at the 'Zhen Shi Xun Magic and Martial Academy' must possess high character!
Furthermore, with the protection of a senior like Laurent in the future, Aaron was unlikely to encounter any trouble. It seemed their choice to buy a house here was indeed the right one! Albert and Anthony exchanged a knowing glance and smiled.
Still, it was quite unexpected! Just a few days ago, they had managed to contact an old friend within the 'Zhen Shi Xun Magic and Martial Academy' and arranged for Aaron to be slotted into 'Magic and Martial Class Two-Three.' To find a suitable place to live, they had set their sights on a property conveniently close to the academy that happened to be for sale, so they decided to purchase it immediately. This secured them lodging and allowed them to supervise Aaron more closely in the future.
But they never expected to run into a student from the 'Zhen Shi Xun Magic and Martial Academy' here! What an incredible coincidence!
Yet, they had no idea that an even greater coincidence awaited them!
Just then, the servant who had rushed off to deliver the initial message hurried back in, reporting to Old Danny, "Master, there are two more people in the front yard asking about buying a house."
Old Danny paused, surprised by the sudden influx of customers, all arriving at once. (Real estate business has this peculiar trait: either no customers appear for days, or they arrive in droves! How strange; perhaps they arranged this together?)
Despite his confusion, Old Danny instructed, "Then please invite them into the living room as well!"
As Old Danny finished speaking, the servant was about to leave, but it was unnecessary—the newcomers were already entering!
Two children?!
Old Danny was visibly stunned. He had been in business for a long time and had never had children approach him about a transaction!
Laurent also found the day exceedingly bizarre. First, a schoolmate appeared, and now two children; who would arrive next? He almost chuckled.
But Albert and his companions were far from relaxed. The moment they saw the two children walk in, their expressions shifted from shock to outright alarm!
Good heavens! Could the coincidence be this extreme?
The three stared with disbelief at the two children who had just entered.
These two children were none other than Zhong Shenxiu and Robin, who had come to purchase the house!
It turned out that the very house Zhong Shenxiu had his eye on was also property owned by Old Danny!
