Angelia finished her classes for the day in a state of near distraction; her mind was completely consumed by the swordsmanship Robin had displayed the other day. The sheer brilliance of that technique had shaken her to the core.

From the moment she was born until now, she had never experienced such an intense jolt of stimulation! A strange child, miraculous swordplay, peculiar attire—no matter how she turned it over in her mind, she couldn't fathom what was truly going on!

Logically, someone as powerful as Robin, and so young at that, should have been the subject of widespread rumors and whispers. Yet, she had never once heard tell of such a person!

Robin seemed to have materialized out of thin air, devoid of any traceable history. Baffling, this was truly too strange!

Angelia now lacked even the desire to practice her own sword forms. She drifted through her days in a daze, her thoughts spinning wildly, even zoning out during lessons—something unthinkable before, as she was known for being a model student!

As soon as class ended, Angelia bolted straight for the Beast Forest. She was searching, hunting for those two astonishing children; she yearned, desperately craving another glimpse of that heaven-shattering, soul-stirring sword art!

But reality, as often happens, was deeply disappointing; Angelia failed to find either Zhong Shenxiu or Robin. However, "disappointment" couldn't quell the stubborn spirit of this determined woman.

Angelia had been wandering aimlessly like this for several days now. She hadn't given up the search, but Heaven seemed determined to tease her; she still found nothing, as if the two children had simply evaporated without a trace!

If the scattered, fallen trees weren't still lying about, Angelia might have convinced herself that she had merely hallucinated the entire encounter. Angelia couldn't even articulate why she was so fixated on those two children, nor did she know what she would even do if she managed to track them down.

Even without knowing the answer, Angelia continued her fruitless search day after day, like an addict chasing a fix from a potent drug! Perhaps this is what they meant when they called women creatures of sentimentality.

After several more hours of fruitless waiting that day, the result remained the same: the two children did not appear. With a sigh of disappointment, Angelia had to return; after all, she had academic responsibilities and couldn't possibly stand guard twenty-four hours a day.

An ancient saying holds true: The shoes wear out searching for what you finally find without effort! Just as Angelia was walking back toward the school grounds, she spotted two small figures approaching in the distance.

Those two silhouettes, now more familiar than her own reflection, had haunted her thoughts countless times. She recognized them instantly as the pair she had seen before.

Yet, strangely enough, despite days of searching finally leading to this reunion, Angelia felt unexpectedly flustered. She was momentarily lost, unsure of what she was supposed to do next.

All she could manage was to stand there frozen, watching Zhong Shenxiu and Robin walk closer. Zhong Shenxiu and Robin had spent the entire day looking for a place to rent.

They had seen many houses, but none suited their taste. Zhong Shenxiu hadn't anticipated finding suitable lodging would be this difficult.

Wasn't there a single clean, secluded spot in this entire city? Surely such a massive place as "Gulu City" must contain one, but because the city was so vast, Zhong Shenxiu hadn't located it yet.

Zhong Shenxiu had a particular flaw: if something could be perfect, he refused to settle for less than ideal! Seeing Angelia from afar, Zhong Shenxiu felt a surge of curiosity—what was this irritable girl doing out here?

Could it be a coincidence? Zhong Shenxiu was in a foul mood that day, so as he passed Angelia, he didn't even spare her a glance.

As Zhong Shenxiu and Robin approached, Angelia felt an inexplicable nervousness flood her. This sensation startled her; she possessed a naturally icy temperament, always maintaining composure, rarely experiencing genuine anxiety—even during the finals of the "Campus Ranking Tournament," her mind had been perfectly calm.

But she, who was usually unflappable, was suddenly tense because two children were walking near her. How strange was that!

When the pair passed right by her, Angelia felt a sinking sensation, as if her heart had dropped to the bottom of a lake. It was the first time she truly understood what it meant to be "ignored." Angelia instantly felt regret—regret for not stopping to hear what the little boy had to say that first time!

If she had, perhaps she would know exactly where her own sword technique fell short! But regret was useless; there is no pill for regretting things in this world!

Was she just going to give up like this? Did she lack any conviction whatsoever?

The more Angelia thought about it, the more pathetic she felt in that moment—this behavior was utterly unlike her. "Um...

wait a moment!" Angelia turned, finally forcing the words out. Zhong Shenxiu stopped and glanced back at her, but his expression remained placid, showing no sudden warmth just because Angelia was beautiful.

"I'm busy!" Zhong Shenxiu stated abruptly. With that sentence dropped, Zhong Shenxiu and Robin continued walking forward, completely disregarding Angelia’s increasingly strange expression.

Ignored again! Angelia felt utterly crushed.

She couldn't comprehend it; usually, people were chasing after her, begging for her attention, which she rebuffed. Now, the tables had turned, and she was being treated as insignificant.

Frustration, profound frustration! Yet, her inherent competitive nature began to spark within Angelia's mind.

She was not the type to retreat when faced with an obstacle! She was determined to be a powerful woman, a woman strong enough to surpass any man!

A woman like her would never surrender simply because Zhong Shenxiu said he was busy—absolutely not, neither from a feminine perspective nor from Angelia's fiercely ambitious personality would she yield now! You're busy, fine.

Then I will follow you until you're done being busy. I want to see just what it is you two are so occupied with?

Such a thought suddenly bloomed in Angelia's mind. Did this woman not realize how dangerous such an idea was?

Did she not know that the closer one drew to the truly mysterious, the deeper one became entangled in that mystery? Angelia trailed Zhong Shenxiu and Robin from a distance, meticulously maintaining a two-hundred-meter gap.

Zhong Shenxiu certainly noticed Angelia following them, but he paid it little mind, continuing his unhurried pace toward the Beast Forest. But no one could have predicted that a large party was already lying in ambush within the depths of the Beast Forest, waiting for Zhong Shenxiu and Robin to walk right into their trap!

A storm was about to break loose...
