"Sister, you almost sent Dad into a rage, and you claim you didn't say anything? What would happen if you actually did say something?" Cecil asked, somewhat astonished.

Just then, Donald walked in.

Donald clearly hadn't expected so many people to be in the room—not only were his son and daughter present, but there were also two children who looked like little clay figures. What in the world was going on?

But this wasn't the time to dwell on that, as he was still fuming, and seeing Cecil only intensified his inability to restrain himself.

"You little brat, since everyone is here, tell me clearly: when did I ever seek out your sister, and when did I ever find her a suitor? You better explain yourself, or don't even think about me letting you off the hook." Donald's face was turning pale; the more he thought about it, the angrier he became.

"Dad, please calm down, this is all a huge misunderstanding!" Cecil felt a massive headache coming on. He hadn't expected a new situation to erupt before the old one was resolved. If his dad truly lost it, Cecil was genuinely afraid.

"Dad, don't be angry either. You know what Cecil is like, and besides, this isn't the first time. It's not worth getting so worked up over him!" Makexin quickly interjected, fearing Donald might actually harm his health with anger.

"And you! Don't think you're innocent either. I'm furious because you two siblings teamed up against me. Why did you have to pick a fight with me when Old Danny was present? Didn't you want him to laugh at me!" Donald retorted angrily.

Makexin knew she was in the wrong and lowered her head, saying no more. She had entirely lost the bearing of a teacher; she looked precisely like a little girl who had done something wrong.

Makexin dared not speak, and Cecil, realizing the severity, was even less inclined to cause further trouble, remaining silent with an expression that suggested, Say what you will, I'm listening.

Perhaps because the more Donald thought, the angrier he got, he launched into a lengthy lecture aimed at the two siblings who caused him such headaches.

"Hey, old man, excuse me for interrupting. It's fine if you need to discipline your children, but the problem is we are currently discussing business. Could you possibly save your outburst for later? When we are done, you can ignite your own little universe for all I care." Zhong Shenxiu suddenly cut in.

"Who is he?" Donald, who hadn't paid much attention to Zhong Shenxiu before, suddenly asked Cecil.

Cecil was frantic, unsure of what to do. He felt utterly cursed—the very thing he feared had happened. Now, it was certain that he wouldn't have any part in the 'Z-War' ruins.

Wait, if I have nothing to do with it anymore, perhaps...

Cecil seemed to realize something, and faced with Donald's accusation, he actually smiled.

"Dad, I really didn't intend to tell you this so soon, but since you've encountered this situation now, I must speak up to prevent any misunderstanding."

Seeing that everyone's attention had shifted entirely to him, Cecil cleared his throat, organized his thoughts, and then spoke slowly, "Dad, your birthday is exactly one week from now. Since Mother passed away, it has been you who raised the three of us siblings (Cecil has an older brother). We all know how difficult it has been for you."

Noticing that Donald's anger seemed to be subsiding, Cecil continued, "So, my sister and I discussed it, and we plan to give you a surprise gift on your birthday."

Makexin stared blankly at her brother, muttering internally, When did I discuss anything with you? What did we discuss? I have absolutely no memory of it!

Even though she had no idea what scheme Cecil was cooking up, Makexin was too smart to interrupt at a moment like this.

Not only Makexin was curious; Donald himself was filled with wonder: A surprise gift? What kind of gift could surprise me?

As if sensing his thoughts, Cecil spoke again, "Dad, I know you and Danny are both good friends and rivals. Ever since you found out Danny owns a helmet from the 'Z-War' era, you’ve been unhappy. We, your children, have watched this with concern, and it's been weighing heavily on our minds."

Cecil paused again, glancing at his older sister, and then continued, "So, my sister and I secretly kept investigating the whereabouts of the 'Z-War' ruins."

At this point, Makexin seemed to grasp Cecil's meaning, sighing inwardly, As expected of my brother, Makexin's brother—his mind is brilliant! No wonder I always fall for his tricks; there's a reason for it.

Donald was now completely devoid of anger. Unaware of the truth, he was profoundly moved by Cecil's words, especially given the excellent performance Cecil was putting on.

Just as Donald was about to say something, Cecil suddenly raised his voice, "Finally, heaven rewards the diligent! My sister and I have found the 'Z-War' ruins!"

"What? You're saying you found the 'Z-War' ruins?" Donald could hardly believe his ears.

Was finding a 'Z-War' ruin something that could just happen? Certainly not, or he wouldn't still be without any artifacts from the 'Z-War' era by now.

Not only were 'Z-War' ruins exceedingly rare, but no one was willing to sell them. After all, they held enormous potential for appreciation! Any person with an ounce of business sense would be foolish to sell off a 'Z-War' relic.

Furthermore, rumor had it that 'Z-War' ruins might reveal the origins of the entire conflict and some deeply buried secrets. This made 'Z-War' relics even hotter commodities.

Yet, Cecil claimed they had found such a precious item—how could this not shock Donald?

"Did you really find it?" Donald excitedly rushed forward and gripped Cecil's arm tightly.

Although his shoulder ached from the grip, Cecil didn't resist; instead, he said very calmly, "Yes, we found it! And we brought it back!"

"What, you brought it back?" Donald was seen trembling from head to toe upon hearing this; he was overwhelmingly ecstatic. He had dreamed his entire life of owning just one 'Z-War' relic!

"Yes, we brought it; it's right there!" Cecil said, pointing his hand in Robin's direction.

Following the direction of Cecil's finger, Donald instantly saw the object in Robin’s hand.

Good heavens! Is this real? Am I dreaming? Donald was so thrilled he almost gave Cecil a profound hug.

Almost crazed with excitement, Donald darted over to Robin. If Robin hadn't been both skilled and brave, she might have been startled by him.

Donald extended a trembling claw, about to touch the 'Z-War' relic he had yearned for his whole life.

But who would have thought that little girl Robin had no consideration for an old man's feelings? Seeing him reach out his claw, she simply shifted slightly and dodged the touch.

Of course, her action was primarily due to prior instructions from Zhong Shenxiu.
