When Guang Huo heard Mo Han's words, he boomed, "What's this TOEFL stuff? Have you picked up the knack for flattery now, kid? I bet you haven't missed me at all. You've been making quite a splash on this continent lately—first curing that young lady of the Murong family's strange ailment, then successfully thwarting the Underworld's conspiracy during your mission to the Beast Races. Ling'er told me all about it. Well done! You’ve truly brought honor to our Church of Light. Even my old, stubborn friends are praising you non-stop. I didn't misjudge you back then; your future is boundless."

Hearing Elder Guang Huo's words, Mo Han quickly replied with false modesty, "It was all just coincidence; I was simply lucky. You flatter me too much, Elder."

In response to Mo Han’s reply, Guang Huo cursed, "If it’s your ability, then it’s your ability! Why be so humble? When did you become so wishy-washy? You’ve lost all your masculine grit."

Hearing Guang Huo’s reprimand, Mo Han could only offer a bitter smile internally, but he kept murmuring his assent verbally. Though Mo Han hadn't spent much time with Guang Huo, he generally understood the elder's temper: if you just yielded politely, the matter would pass quickly; otherwise, you would certainly suffer for it.

Sure enough, seeing Mo Han’s compliance, Guang Huo nodded in satisfaction and said, "It’s good for a young man to be humble, but sometimes you need to be arrogant, understand? That’s how you attract more women."

Hearing this, Mo Han felt an overwhelming urge to faint, unsure what any of this had to do with attracting women, but he could only respond with a wry smile.

Murong Tian, watching from the side, couldn't help but smile. It was rare to see Mo Han cornered like this. This Elder Guang Huo seemed far from ordinary; to be able to put Mo Han in such a tight spot was truly admirable.

Just then, Elder Guang Huo turned to Mo La and said, "I heard you were injured too. How are you now?" Hearing the elder's inquiry, Mo La dared not be as casual as Mo Han. He spoke with utmost respect, "Thank you for your concern, Elder. It was only a minor injury, and thanks to Emissary Mo Han’s treatment, I am fully recovered."

Upon hearing Mo La’s answer, Guang Huo nodded, "That's good. Now, recount the detailed sequence of events for me. I want to see who has the gall to provoke our Church of Light."

Mo La quickly nodded, "Please, Elder, come inside the chamber, and I will relay the full details to you."

Guang Huo nodded in agreement. At this moment, Mo Han spoke up, "Elder, please go in with Mo La first. I need to step outside and arrange matters for the evening, so I won't accompany you inside." Mo Han was genuinely apprehensive of the elder's volatile temper now and decided it was best to keep his distance, lest he be disciplined again.

Hearing Mo Han’s request, Guang Huo nodded, "Then go handle your business. Mo La and I will go in. We can have a proper chat once this matter is settled." With that, he turned and walked in without looking back.

Mo Han quickly nodded in assent. Mo La offered a brief, polite smile to Mo Han and the others before following Guang Huo inside.

Once Guang Huo was far enough away, Murong Tian smiled and remarked, "I never imagined Elder Guang Huo had such a fiery temper! This is the first time I’ve seen someone who can keep Brother Mo Han so thoroughly in line. Truly remarkable."

Hearing this, Mo Han could only offer a bitter smile, "General Murong, you're teasing me now. I'm miserable enough as it is. Let's hurry out." With that, he swiftly departed.

Murong Tian couldn't help but chuckle at the sight.

As they stepped out of the Church's main entrance, they saw that many of the Tian Long Legion’s Imperial Guards were already there, heavily surrounding the sanctuary and forbidding anyone from approaching. Leading them was Liu Chengde, the Commander of the Imperial Guards whom Mo Han had met before. Seeing Mo Han and Murong Tian, Liu Chengde immediately bowed respectfully, "Your subordinate greets General Murong and Duke Mo Han."

Mo Han quickly waved his hand, "Haha, Commander Liu, no need for formalities. Carry on with your work."

General Murong also smiled warmly, "Commander Liu is executing official duties, so no need for such elaborate courtesies. These black-clad assailants displayed extraordinary skill; Commander Liu, you must be extremely cautious this time."

Hearing Murong Tian’s words, Liu Chengde replied respectfully, "Thank you, General Murong. Your subordinate will certainly exercise the utmost caution and will not fail His Majesty's trust." Murong Tian nodded with a smile and said no more.

Mo Han suddenly seemed to recall something and spoke up, "Commander Liu, how many Imperial Guards did you bring out this time? How many remain in the Imperial Palace? Who is guarding the Emperor?" Liu Chengde was momentarily stunned by Mo Han's question. Inquiring about the strength of the palace guard was usually a major taboo; a misstep could lead to accusations of harboring ill intent, a risk no one dared take. However, he knew Mo Han was likely unfamiliar with such protocols, and given Mo Han's recent immense trust from the Emperor, he decided to answer. "His Majesty took this matter very seriously and ordered me to bring five thousand Imperial Guards to assist the Church of Light. Five thousand guards remain to ensure His Majesty’s safety, led by Vice-Commander An Hai."

Hearing Liu Chengde’s reply, Mo Han seemed to grasp something and smiled as he spoke to the Commander, "Oh, I see. Alright, you carry on. We won't keep you any longer." Liu Chengde felt a touch of confusion but nonetheless nodded his assent.

Mo Han and Murong Tian returned to the Church of Light. Mo Han leaned in and whispered something into Murong Tian's ear. Murong Tian, hearing it, exclaimed in surprise, "Brother Mo Han, how certain are you of your deduction? This is no small matter; if anything goes wrong, it could be disastrous."

Mo Han shook his head, "To be honest, I’m not entirely certain. But I have a feeling. I’ve always trusted my intuition, which is why I made those arrangements."
