Poor little Mo, hearing Mo Han's reprimand, ran to Kaili, incessantly calling out and acting spoiled, as if to defend himself.

Kaili laughed and chided, "Stop fooling around, you're changing the subject. Tell us, what else are you hiding from us? Hurry up and spill it."

The others chimed in, backing Kaili’s demand for Mo Han to confess for leniency, which left Mo Han both amused and exasperated. He finally spoke, "Geez, are you guys interrogating me? And you, you little rascal bear, you’ve learned to scheme and tattle too? Fine, I’ll confess. The truth is, I’m an Archmage, and I’ve reached the Archmage level in every element except Dark magic. I’m basically an all-elemental mage."

Seeing everyone’s jaws drop almost to the floor, Mo Han was immensely satisfied with the effect he’d created.

Jack stammered, "Are you serious?" Mo Han said smugly, "Of course, when have I ever lied to you?" Rock slapped his forehead, saying, "Heavens above, Mo Han, the surprises you give us get bigger every time. I’m starting to wonder if I’m dreaming."

Then Latin exclaimed excitedly, "If what you say is true, then we have hope for restoring the kingdom!"

Mo Han looked puzzled. "Restoring the kingdom? What kingdom are you talking about? What's going on?" Just then, Kaili spoke up, "Mo Han, I’m sorry. I didn’t tell you because I didn’t want to drag you into trouble. The truth is, I am the princess of the Azure Empire, and my Emperor father and Empress mother were murdered by the current emperor, Kasatos—who is my own uncle."

Kaili continued, "To seize the throne, Tos plotted for a long time, finally launching his rebellion three years ago, murdering his own brother and sister-in-law, and ascending the throne."

Kaili, still a princess then, was smuggled out of the palace under the protection of her parents’ most loyal guards. Escorted by Latin and Jack's parents, they fought desperately to break through the encirclement. But just as they neared the border of the Fire Cloud Empire, they were ambushed by rebel forces. The remaining guards ordered Latin and Jack to ensure Kaili escaped, sacrificing themselves heroically to cover her retreat—this included Latin’s and Jack’s parents.

The escaped Kaili tried to contact the other great nations for aid in reclaiming her throne, but how could those major powers possibly risk offending the ascendant Kasatos just for a displaced royal? Some minor states even saw an opportunity to capture Kaili and present her to Kasatos for reward.

Kaili and her small entourage dared not trust anyone else, forced instead to flee in abject disguise, beginning her long and arduous path to restoration.

Kaili's true name, they learned, was Kasadeli, and hearing her tragic story caused Mo Han’s heart to ache deeply for her.

After finishing her story, Kaili looked at Mo Han anxiously and asked, "Are you angry with me?" Mo Han excitedly pulled Kaili into his arms to comfort her. "Silly girl, I feel nothing but heartache for you, how could I possibly be angry?"

Held in Mo Han’s embrace, Kaili inhaled a distinct, masculine scent from him, feeling her heart race wildly, threatening to leap from her chest. She made no move to break free.

She only blushed slightly and whispered, "Thank you."

Mo Han grinned mischievously, "Heh heh, what’s there to thank me for? I already said, from now on, your affairs are my affairs."

He felt the unique, feminine fragrance radiating from the beauty in his arms, almost melting him; he felt he could never let go. He sighed, realizing why people often called a gentle haven the tomb of heroes—just holding her like this made him feel he couldn't bear to leave.

At that moment, Kaili noticed Jack watching them from behind Mo Han with a slight, knowing smile. Snapping back to reality, she shyly pulled away from Mo Han’s embrace, her face flushed crimson as she muttered softly, "You’re impossible! Now how am I supposed to face them?"

Mo Han felt an internal groan: Great, now you blame me? At the same time, he silently cursed Jack and the others for their poor timing—why didn't they stay further away? He hadn't enjoyed the moment enough before Dali scolded him. Next time, he vowed, he would find a secluded place to savor this properly, a wicked thought that involuntarily brought a smile to his lips.

Dali spoke up, "Mo Han, what’s wrong?" Looking at the dazed Mo Han, Dali first worried he was angry, but seeing his strange smile, which was almost drooling, she decided that wasn't it either.

Snapping back to himself, Mo Han managed a reply, "Uh, nothing. I was just thinking about how to deal with that Kasatos," Mo Han replied with an expression of utmost seriousness.

Mo Han inwardly muttered, Are you kidding? If I told her the truth, she’d probably kill me.

Mo Han quickly changed the subject, saying, "Don't worry, Dali. I promise I will help you restore your kingdom. I’ll beat that Tos until not even dregs remain, making him regret ever drawing breath in this world."

Dali asked emotionally, "But this will be extremely dangerous and arduous. Don't you regret it?"

Mo Han smiled at Dali. "Heh heh, the word 'regret' doesn't exist in my vocabulary. Remember what I said? From now on, your business is my business. I certainly don't want to break my word and get struck by lightning, do I?"

Dali said happily, "Always talking nonsense." She knew Mo Han was trying to comfort her, coaxing her into laughter so she wouldn't feel so sad.

Seeing this exchange, Latin stepped forward to Mo Han and Dali and said seriously, "Mo Han, I was right about you. You are a man of your word. From this day forward, I, Latin, sincerely wish you and the Princess a blissful life together forever."

Mo Han replied, "Heh heh, you’re not bad either. You’ve been a loyal protector by Dali’s side all this time, and Jack too. I truly thank you both."

After speaking, Mo Han added, "Oh, I also have this book that I obtained accidentally. You should take it and study it with Rock and the others; it might be helpful."

Saying this, he pulled a gold-edged book from his Spatial Ring and handed it to Latin, adding, "It’s of no use to me anyway."

The truth was, Mo Han had acquired this book from the battlefield of Flame Island, guided by Mo Xiuyi, taken from a Sword Saint named Kazai—a legendary figure from 500 years ago.

Kazai was once feared for his Lightning Sword Style, earning him the title 'Lightning Sword Saint.' Sadly, even this master swordsman could not escape the slaughter of that fierce battle five centuries ago, eternally resting beneath the soil of Flame Island.
