Except for the mage Liss, everyone else had sustained considerable injuries, and the Great Bear lunged forward, raising a massive paw to strike Liss, the only one left standing before it.

Kark cried out in alarm, “Liss, watch out!”

But it was too late to intervene.

Just then, a voice rang out, “Wow! What a beautiful female bear!”

The Earth Bear’s claws froze involuntarily at the sound of the words, turning to gaze at the human who had spoken.

Nearby, as Kaily and the others watched with mounting anxiety, they heard Mo Han mutter with a chuckle, “Just as I guessed, it’s a male. Otherwise, why would he leave the female for last?”

Hearing Mo Han’s words, the surrounding group felt as if they were about to collapse from dizziness. Liss, who had been bracing for certain death, flushed crimson and snapped back, “Lecherous!”

Mo Han shouted at Liss in mock offense, “Hey, young lady, what’s the meaning of that? I’m your savior, how can you treat your savior like that?”

Liss retorted stubbornly, “I never asked you to save me.”

Mo Han inwardly sighed; What a wild girl. Ignoring Liss, he chanted a spell, sending a streak of white light toward her—the Seal Release, an advanced Light Magic known to be cast only by those at the Priest level or higher.

Liss felt an immediate lightness wash over her; the oppressive pressure vanished. She quickly retreated out of the Earth Bear’s striking range.

The Earth Bear paid her no mind, focusing instead on Mo Han, who was slowly walking towards it.

From a short distance away, Liss watched Mo Han approach the Earth Bear so closely and couldn't help but worry, “Be careful! That’s an Earth Bear, it’s incredibly powerful.”

Mo Han merely turned, offering her a confident smile, and said, “It’s fine. From now on, it’s my little follower.”

Liss sighed with exasperation, “What a thick-skinned braggart.”

At that moment, Kaily and the others joined Liss and Kark. Kaily’s gaze remained fixed nervously on Mo Han, terrified he might be hurt.

Anna, standing beside her, offered gentle comfort, “Sister Kaily, don’t worry. Brother Mo Han will be fine. We have to trust him.”

Kark also called out to Mo Han, “Little brother, you should keep your distance. Be careful of the danger!”

Mo Han, without turning back, simply waved a hand at Kark, signaling that he was fine.

Seeing Mo Han reach the Earth Bear, Liss urgently turned to Kark, “Father, please go and help him!”

Kark replied, “Let’s observe for a while before acting. Perhaps this young man has his own plan.”

Mo Han, now standing before the massive beast, addressed it, “Little thing, I know you understand me. How about we strike a bargain?” Mo Han knew that high-level magical beasts, especially a Rank Nine Earth Bear, generally possessed high intelligence.

The Grizzly stared at the strange human with peculiar eyes. Most people either fled or attacked upon seeing it, like the ones just before. But this person wasn't afraid; he actually wanted to negotiate. Curiosity piqued.

Mo Han continued, “If you don’t speak, I’ll take that as agreement. Here’s the deal: if you agree to become my follower, I’ll find you a beautiful female bear as your mate, how about that?” The three women behind him flushed crimson at his words and muttered, “Lecherous.”

Hearing Mo Han’s proposal, the Earth Bear’s eyes seemed to brighten momentarily, but it shook its head firmly. Nonsense. I am a dignified, high-level Earth Bear. How could I give up for the sake of a female?

Mo Han pressed on, “If you follow me, I’ll treat you to the best food and drink every day. Do you understand? Think about it—fragrant roasted chicken every day, roasted duck, and roasted pig! Plus, the finest wine! Wow! What a life that would be!”

He punctuated this with an exaggerated expression of bliss that, to any observer, looked like that of a sly old wolf.

The Earth Bear hesitated, clearly tempted by Mo Han’s highly persuasive words. Yet, after a strenuous internal struggle, it shook its head in refusal.

“Impressive backbone,” Mo Han said with a slight smile. “If even that won’t move you, I suppose I must deploy my final trump card.” He deliberately paused, causing everyone behind him to crane their necks curiously, eager to hear what unexpected offer he might produce next.

The Earth Bear also watched curiously, its massive, bell-like eyes fixed on Mo Han, waiting to see what trick he had up his sleeve.

Mo Han continued, “I will… I will find you a whole pile of beautiful female bears as mates! A pile, mind you! Think it over carefully. If you still disagree, then forget it.” Mo Han finished with a wicked grin.

Mo Han thought smugly, Let’s see how long you can hold out against that. Just then, Liss’s voice cut through from behind, “Shameless wretch!”

Kaily and Anna merely blushed and remained silent.

Heh heh, Mo Han thought, entirely unfazed by Liss’s condemnation, that’s just strategy. What does a little girl know?

After a long consideration, the Earth Bear did the unexpected: it nodded in agreement.

Well, one woman, I can refuse. But a whole pile is different. Plus, good food and drink daily. It’s a worthy trade. The Earth Bear reasoned internally.

Watching the group behind him nearly collapse in shock, everyone thought the same thing: Even bears are lustful.

With a triumphant smirk, Mo Han turned back to the group and flashed a V-sign. “Done,” he declared proudly. “I’m genuinely impressed with myself—convincing an Earth Bear with mere words! Impressive, right?” Anna looked up at Mo Han and exclaimed admiringly, “Brother Mo Han, you’re amazing!”

Kaily smiled wordlessly, while Liss simply rolled her eyes at him. The others were speechless… This was too unbelievable. Subduing an Earth Bear this way? Jump to
