The night’s fierce battle left everyone with lingering dread. If it hadn't been for Kak and his group passing by, the outcome was truly unimaginable—though, of course, one person was the exception: Mo Han. To joke about it, if he had unleashed his true strength yesterday, those wolves from the Black Wolf faction would already be drinking tea with Yama. Coincidentally meeting Kak’s party, he had to make them leave quickly so as not to expose his power. In his heart, he truly hoped Chris would reappear before him to resolve this matter sooner; otherwise, the thought of someone constantly plotting his death left a truly unpleasant feeling in his gut. Although Mo Han himself felt no fear, harming any of his comrades in the group was an outcome he desperately wished to avoid. After spending time together, he had come to regard the members of the Flying Cloud group as his friends.

Anna spoke, still worried, "Then what should we do? There are so many of them."

Mo Han smiled and said, "Heh heh, don't be afraid. As long as they dare to show themselves, I'll let them witness my might."

Naturally, this earned him a collective eye-roll from the group.

Seeing their expressions, Mo Han thought sadly, Alas, sometimes I speak the truth, yet no one believes me.

Very well, then it was time to give them a proper glimpse of his true capability.

Mo Han had already decided not to conceal his power from Kylie and the others anymore, because after this period of camaraderie, he considered them all his friends.

At this moment, Mo Han, walking in the center of the formation, suddenly stopped. Mo Han spoke up, asking, "Don't you all feel it's strange? Something is very wrong?" Anna responded, "What's strange?" Seeing the confused expressions on everyone else's faces, Mo Han explained, "Since just now, we haven't encountered any other people or magical beasts. Logically, we should be considered deep into the plains now, and there should be more magical beasts. Yet, all the way here, we haven't seen a thing."

Hearing Mo Han's explanation, everyone realized something was indeed amiss.

Mo Han continued, "There can only be one explanation: there is a high-level magical beast nearby. All the surrounding beasts sense the danger and dare not approach this area; they have all hidden themselves."

No sooner had Mo Han finished speaking than a roar from a magical beast suddenly echoed from ahead, accompanied by the faint sound of fighting. Everyone tensed up. Anna asked, "What if it really is a high-level magical beast? Should we go back?" Mo Han replied, "Since we’re already here, let's go take a look. Judging by the roar, its level shouldn't be low. Heh heh, maybe we can make a nice profit! Besides, it sounds like that beast is already engaged with someone, so it probably shouldn't be too dangerous. Maybe there’s a good show waiting for us."

Hearing Mo Han's words, everyone relaxed a little and cautiously moved towards the source of the sound.

Upon arriving at the scene, they saw a grey giant bear, easily three times the height of a man, locked in combat with a few figures. On closer inspection, they realized it was the members of the Soaring Cloud Mercenary Group who had helped them yesterday.

Kylie exclaimed in shock, "Heavens, it’s an Earth Bear!"

Mo Han asked, "Earth Bear? You mean the Rank Nine High-Tier Magical Beast, the Earth Bear?" Jack replied, "There’s only one kind of Earth Bear, so yes, that’s it."

They watched as the Earth Bear’s earthen armor was struck repeatedly by magic and Battle Aura, causing chunks to fall off, yet the armor immediately regenerated, seemingly unharmed.

Meanwhile, the Soaring Cloud group, due to the prolonged fighting, had begun to slow down their offensive pace.

Seeing the Earth Bear's incredibly high defense, Mo Han sighed, "What a ridiculously sturdy defense. Is there any way to fight this thing?" Kylie patiently explained beside him, "Yes. This Earth Bear is said to be a pet left behind in the mortal world by the Earth Goddess. Its greatest feature is that as long as its feet are on the ground, it can continuously absorb earth elements to bolster its defense. As long as its paws don't leave the soil, it is virtually unbeatable."

Kylie continued, "Unless you can shatter its protective shell in one go, or your attack damage can surpass its recovery rate to actually injure it—but that's nearly impossible. Wait, aren't there only Rank Five beasts on Adventure Plain? Since when are there beasts this high-ranked here?" After hearing Kylie's explanation, Mo Han’s eyes lit up, and he declared, "So ridiculously powerful! If I could capture it as a pet, wouldn't I be invincible? Heh heh."

Hearing this, the others felt a dizzying urge to faint. Capturing an Earth Bear as a pet—in this world, probably only Mo Han would dare to think such a thing; most people would run for their lives upon seeing one.

Mo Han looked at Kylie beside him, unwilling to give up, and asked, "Does this Earth Bear truly have no weaknesses? Think again?" Kylie responded, "That’s all I know. It seems there are none, unless you can lift its feet off the ground, cutting off its power source."

Mo Han frowned in thought. "Lift its feet off the ground..."

Just then, the Earth Bear let out another furious roar. A circle of earthen-yellow light erupted from the ground, and everyone surrounding the beast found their movements sluggish, as if struggling through thick mud.

Kylie gasped, "Gravity Spell!"

The giant bear then swung a paw, the size of a small dining table, towards Kak, who stood before it. A burst of intense, deep-blue Battle Aura erupted around Kak as he struggled free of the Gravity Spell's hold and hastily swung his sword to parry.

Where paw met blade, the Battle Aura Kak managed to summon in his hasty defense was clearly no match for the Earth Bear's power. He suffered a major setback, spitting out a mouthful of blood as he was sent flying backward.

The girl named Lyris screamed out, "Father!" upon seeing the situation.

Kylie grew anxious, "This is bad, they’re going to die! Mo Han, hurry and think of a way to help them!"

But as soon as she spoke, she realized Mo Han was only a Priest—how could he help? Why was Mo Han the first person she thought of? It seemed he could handle anything.

Seeing Mo Han show no reaction, Kylie worried she might have wounded his masculine pride and quickly rushed to explain, "Mo Han, please don’t misunderstand. I was just too anxious. I know you’re just a Priest, please don’t take it to heart."

Suddenly, Mo Han leaped up and shouted, "I have it! Haha, I have a way!"

This startled everyone nearby. Mo Han exclaimed happily, "Kylie, you are truly brilliant, I love you!" Overjoyed, Mo Han turned and impulsively kissed the beautiful face of the woman beside him.

This caused Kylie’s face to flush deeply, though her expression was a mixture of shyness and delight.

Uh—Mo Han, realizing what he had done, saw Kylie’s reaction and recognized his own abruptness. He didn't even know how he managed to do it, hehe, but it felt incredibly good. The skin on Kylie’s face was definitely smoother than any silk he had ever touched.

Mo Han quickly changed the subject, "I'm going to take care of this Earth Bear first."

With that, he quickly ran off.
