The battle between Lin Luo and Luo Tianyi had finally reached its boiling point, the power of the Ninth Heaven unleashed without restraint—a spectacle so earth-shattering it nearly shook the entirety of the Endless World.

Yet, while the power of a Ninth Heaven expert could certainly shake the Endless World, it could not destroy it. This was because the Endless World was truly infinite, filled with countless mysteries and an untold number of Yuan Qian minor worlds; it was, in essence, a conceptual entity. So long as the concept of the world persisted, the Endless World could not be annihilated.

It was this terrifying conceptual regeneration that allowed the Endless World to recover from even the most devastating wounds in the briefest span of time. Forget Ninth Heaven experts—even among those of the Heaven Beyond Heaven realm, only a select few could pose a fatal threat to the Endless World.

To put it plainly, the Endless World was the ultimate, unkillable Masochist. Thus, even as the battlefield for two Ninth Heaven powerhouses, Lin Luo and Luo Tianyi, it remained perpetually vibrant.

Within this conflict, Lin Luo had already died countless times. Whether by ** body, spirit, soul, or very existence, along with his past and future, each instance was wiped clean under the glare of the Mirror of Truth; even he had lost count of the times it had happened. But powered by the force of Wu Zhong Sheng You (Creating Something from Nothing), he, like the Endless World itself, remained unyielding.

The world housed innumerable concepts: life and death, existence and non-existence, past and future… uncountable in number. But if one were to truly identify the single concept that was universally acknowledged as invincible and unsolvable, it could only be this—the concept of You and Wu (Being and Non-Being)!

Its singularity and irrefutability could be established with a single dictum: the concept of conceptual existence or non-existence.

Take, for instance, the concept of life and death. Its existence is built upon the foundation of the concept of existence. But if the foundation of 'concept' itself ceased to exist, then the concept of life and death would vanish with it. However, the concept of Being and Non-Being remains unrestricted by such dependencies. Even if the world were to lose the very notion of 'concept,' in a higher plane of recognition, the phenomenon of having no concept is merely 'Wu' (Nothingness). In other words, the concept of 'Nothingness' still exists.

Similarly, since the concept of 'No Concept' exists, then, as the indispensable antithesis to all things in the world, the concept of 'Conceptual Existence' must also exist. Then, looking backward, the very existence of the concept of 'No Concept' can be interpreted as the existence of 'No Concept.' Therefore, its opposite ought to be the non-existence of 'No Concept.'

This is an opposition, yet simultaneously a cycle. No matter how one perceives it, the concept of Being and Non-Being cannot vanish. And Lin Luo, who commanded Wu Zhong Sheng You, fundamentally commanded this very concept of Being and Non-Being.

Theoretically, he should be absolutely incapable of dying.

Thus, even after being annihilated countless times by the Mirror of Truth, Lin Luo remained entirely unchanged from his initial state. Conversely, Luo Tianyi, though having dealt more fatal blows, lacked the previously world-defying sharpness; a subtle sense that her condition was steadily deteriorating could be perceived.

This was hardly surprising. Although experts above the Quasi-Heavenly rank could absorb vast external energy and convert it for their use, maintaining a seemingly inexhaustible power supply and remaining at peak condition at all times, this endless power was intrinsically linked to consumption. Against an opponent of the same rank, engaging in all-out combat, even the absorption rate of a Ninth Heaven expert could not keep pace with the expenditure.

Furthermore, Luo Tianyi’s actual strength was only at the Seventh Heaven of the Heavenly Rank, two full levels below Lin Luo, meaning her energy drain was far more severe. Facing a bug who revived at full capacity no matter how many times he was killed, Luo Tianyi bore a pressure far greater than Lin Luo’s, even with the ultimate weapon that was the Mirror of Truth.

Simply put, to an indestructible Masochist, even the most extreme Sadist could only bring greater pleasure and nothing more.

If the battle devolved into a war of attrition, Lin Luo would inevitably win. Lin Luo knew this, and Luo Tianyi understood it too. Therefore, even though Lin Luo could sustain himself with Wu Zhong Sheng You until Luo Tianyi destroyed herself, she would not accept such an outcome willingly.

It was time to use that.

Just as Lin Luo resurrected for the Nth time, Luo Tianyi’s eyes sharpened. The Mirror of Truth shot forward abruptly, positioning itself directly above Lin Luo. A brilliant white light descended instantly, enveloping him. Simultaneously, two identical mirrors materialized to Lin Luo’s left and right, blazing with intense light.

Finally, it begins… but I have my countermeasures as well.

The moment he was bathed in the light of the Mirror of Truth, Lin Luo realized he had lost the ability to move. This was the positioning restraint of the Mirror of Truth, functioning as a seal—a restraint even experts of the Heaven Beyond Heaven level could scarcely break free from. While this restraint held no inherent destructive power, in a battle of equal footing, the immobilization of movement was practically a death sentence.

Of course, because the sealing ability of the positioning restraint was so potent—capable of targeting Heaven Beyond Heaven experts—it imposed significant limitations on the user. Luo Tianyi deploying this restraint now clearly signaled her intent to use her final killing move.

At this instant, even Lin Luo, armed with Wu Zhong Sheng You, felt death closing in.

Not the simulated death from before, but the permanent kind, where one death meant no more resurrections—absolute demise! Luo Tianyi, possessing an attribute that naturally countered him, was capable of achieving this.

However, despite sensing the imminent end, Lin Luo betrayed no panic. Just as Luo Tianyi seemed to understand him intimately, he understood her equally well. If in his previous life his attributes were suppressed by her, after experiencing two lifetimes, he was different; he too possessed a method against Luo Tianyi!

"Exclusion of Polarity!"

Luo Tianyi vanished, reappearing instantly before Lin Luo. Her expressionless face revealed no change, but her green eyes held only ruthless sharpness. Her right hand flattened, fingers aligned like a blade, and she lunged fiercely toward Lin Luo’s chest.

Indeed, the concept of Being and Non-Being could be deemed the most invincible and unsolvable concept, even being the summation of all concepts. But to manifest this concept required a foundation: opposition!

After all, Being and Non-Being were two opposing existences. If this property of opposition suddenly vanished, then Being and Non-Being could no longer be differentiated, collapsing into utter chaos.

Yet, the property of 'opposition' itself was a concept. These concepts influenced and relied upon each other, tightly bound and inseparable. If one vanished, the other would follow; conversely, if one existed, the other could not disappear. Therefore, theoretically, no matter how powerful an entity, they could not erase the concept of opposition and the interplay of Being and Non-Being.

But!

Luo Tianyi possessed the attribute that suppressed Lin Luo. While she could not erase all concepts of opposition from the world, by virtue of her own innate properties, she could erase Lin Luo’s opposition. Once the property of opposition disappeared from him, Lin Luo would become a chaotic entity, and naturally, Wu Zhong Sheng You would lose its original function.

"Second Self."

However, just as Luo Tianyi drove her hand-blade toward Lin Luo’s chest, Lin Luo spoke calmly. In that instant, a person identical to him suddenly materialized behind Luo Tianyi, wielding a terrifying black-flamed killing sword, which flashed lightning-fast toward her neck.

When bound by the Mirror of Truth’s positioning restraint, Lin Luo could not move, nor could he utilize offensive or defensive skills reliant on physical action—and this included skills like creating clones. However, the figure appearing now was not a mere clone; it was truly another him, a completely real and independent persona!

Every being possesses only one soul, and a complete soul is indivisible. Thus, no matter how great one’s power, no one could create an exact duplicate of themselves. Even if an equally powerful physical body could be crafted, it could not be imbued with a soul as potent as their own. Even Lin Luo in his previous life could not achieve this.

But now, having lived two lives, he could.

It was not a clone, nor the creation of an illusion, but the pure act of one becoming two—with equally potent strength, an equally complete soul, and an equally independent personality: an exact copy of himself!

This was his ultimate trump card against Luo Tianyi.

Just as Luo Tianyi waited for an opportunity to use the positioning restraint to seal him, Lin Luo waited for her to unleash that seal. For only at that moment would she lose the protection of the Mirror of Truth, allowing his full Ninth Heaven power to strike the Seventh Heaven Luo Tianyi—a guaranteed kill!

The sudden appearance of the second Lin Luo shocked Luo Tianyi. She clearly hadn't anticipated Lin Luo hiding such an ability. But with matters already set in motion, she had no time to recall her attack. The time required to retrieve the Mirror of Truth would be more than enough for Lin Luo to decapitate her. With her Seventh Heaven physique, she could not withstand such an attack.

So, she abandoned her own defense, gritted her teeth, and drove her hand-blade toward Lin Luo with even greater speed.

This was a contest of speed. If Luo Tianyi’s hand-blade could strike Lin Luo first, she would regain the protection of the Mirror of Truth and annihilate Lin Luo. But if Lin Luo’s killing sword beheaded Luo Tianyi first, her life would end completely right there, and everything would conclude with her demise.

Although described slowly in writing, in reality, both of their movements were instantaneous, like lightning and flint. It was impossible to distinguish who was slower or faster. Almost at the moment the hand-blade thrust out and the killing sword slashed forth, a searing chzzzt tore through the air, and a dazzling spray of blood erupted!

Though I’d ideally like to keep chapters at five thousand characters, I feel concluding the chapter here is best. What do you all think? RQ
