The combat strength displayed by him meant that even many of the top ten ranked warriors from the third year were no match! For a first-year warrior to possess combat strength that didn't concede in the slightest to the strongest of the third years made the faces of the observing third-year trainees look quite grim.
The scalps of the four first-year warrior trainees caught in the fray went momentarily numb. Facing Qian Jin, they suddenly felt a sensation even more uncomfortable than facing a teacher. Though he stood still in one spot, he somehow made them unsure of how to even launch an attack.
Seeing no one move, Fick suddenly waved his hand and barked, "Begin!"
As the character for 'Start' still lingered in the air above the campus, Qian Jin had already made the first move.
His bent front leg pushed off against the rear leg, allowing him to advance three rapid, lightning-fast strides. His arm swung up naturally and was raised high over his head, his wrist abruptly twisting as he slashed down like a battle blade towards Darc’s head.
Qian Jin’s sleeves were rather wide; this allowance meant he could continue wearing them even after growing taller. As his arm swung in battle, the sleeves rubbed against the air, emitting a continuous series of sharp pa-pa sounds, akin to the sharp snap of heavy parchment violently cracked in the open air.
“Fast movement speed, fast attack speed, the coordination between his Dou Jin and strength is not wasted in the slightest. To have practiced the most fundamental blade slash technique taught by the Academy to this extent is certainly not achievable in just a few days. I didn't expect him to have put such deep effort into even this basic strike.”
The moment Qian Jin attacked, Principal Fick’s slits of eyes widened with a trace of pleasant surprise. This strike, lacking only a true sense of bloody killing intent, was already close to perfection.
Darc, positioned within the battle cluster, instantly became cautious and solemn. Qian Jin’s strike, using his arm as a substitute for a battle blade, whipped up a gust of wind that nearly shattered his rhythm of breathing.
“I thought he possessed some specialized Dou Ji technique; I never imagined his basic warrior skills had reached such a level of proficiency! It seems I underestimated him…”
Bang-smack! Darc crossed his arms and pushed his wrists upward, immediately colliding with Qian Jin’s descending arm. The fierce impact he had anticipated never materialized. He only felt Qian Jin’s slashing arm suddenly spread its fingers wide, grasping his crossed wrists and yanking upward and backward with sudden force!
Darc’s feet lifted off the ground! He felt himself soaring into the air. Watching the increasing distance between himself and Qian Jin, he understood clearly that he had been grabbed and forcefully thrown! His plan to absorb Qian Jin’s attack head-on to buy time for the other three to strike completely crumbled in an instant.
Fick’s slits of eyes also brightened at that moment: “To be able to suddenly retract his Dou Jin that had exploded to its maximum strength—that level of control is extraordinary! Could it be that his Level Six Dou Jin is not something he only acquired today?”
The other three also hadn't anticipated that Qian Jin would suddenly use sheer brute force to fling his opponent away. Qian Jin’s leading leg had already advanced to stand before Tavares. His right leg shot directly between Tavares’s own legs, and with a sudden, violent sweep left and right, he shattered his opponent’s physical balance. Instantly, he drove forward, channeling force from his shoulder in a sudden burst, like a savage bull charging a wall, directly sending Tavares flying high into the air.
“‘Savage Charge’ can be used like that?” The spectators were simultaneously startled. The Savage Charge wasn't even considered a combat skill for use in actual battles; its purpose was for those who had retired from the military to become local security personnel, used against unruly civilians to disperse them without causing serious injury.
No one had expected that in this critical battle of one against four, Qian Jin would employ a technique used for handling common civilians against the top-ten ranked warriors of the first year, and achieve such excellent results! If they hadn't witnessed it firsthand, no one would have believed it to be true.
The remaining two finally reacted, their fists and feet launching almost simultaneously toward Qian Jin’s head and abdomen. He spread his arms wide, his fingers open, grasping their hands and feet, and used pure brute force to hurl both of them toward the surrounding crowd.
Bang, bang, bang, bang…
Four loud thuds of heavy objects hitting the ground sounded in quick succession. All four challengers lay sprawled on the ground, the dull impact resonating heavily on the endurance of the watching crowd.
Finished? It was over just like that? The crowd exchanged glances with their friends, unable to believe that a battle expected to be fierce and spectacular—one against four—had concluded in the blink of an eye! These were all first-year warriors! How could the gap be this wide? This previously low-profile Qian Jin was simply too strong!
Qian Jin clapped his hands, standing in the center of the former battle circle. He looked faintly at his four opponents, who were either thrown or crashed away, and asked lightly, “Is there a need to continue fighting?”
Continue fighting? Fight what? Darc rolled over and jumped up. Although he hadn't sustained any physical injury in this fight, being so casually dismantled by a peer was far more humiliating than being beaten into a hospital bed. Qian Jin, a fellow first-year warrior, had completed a one-against-four fight with effortless speed.
Invincible! One person against four of the almost top-ranked individuals in the same grade! A single thought rose simultaneously in the minds of the surrounding crowd: Qian Jin was now the undisputed invincible figure among the first-year warrior corps! In the history of the Oakland Academy of Magic and Warriors, there had never been such a purely grade-level invincible warrior student!
Several second-year warrior trainees looked extremely grim. With his Level Six Dou Jin plus that strange brute strength, if Qian Jin truly unleashed his full power in a real fight, he would probably be even more formidable than what he showed now, wouldn't he?
The morning at the Oakland Academy of Magic and Warriors was silent for the first time. Everyone, including the teachers, stared at Qian Jin in shock. He was still just a first-year warrior system student!
“Next time I make a move, I won’t be so restrained,” Qian Jin swept his gaze across the crowd, a kindly smile gracing his lips, yet in the eyes of others, that smile carried a chilling hint of coldness.
“If anyone thinks they can defeat me?” Qian Jin shrugged his shoulders indifferently, “I will accept any challenge at any time. However…”
Qian Jin’s voice suddenly turned frigid and sinister: “You must be fully prepared. Prepared to be severely injured and sent to the hospital along with me! If your promising future in the upcoming competition is delayed because of fighting me, don't blame me then.”
The expressions of several people from the top ten of the third year turned cold simultaneously. These words were clearly directed at them. They were the designated representatives for the Oakland Academy of Magic and Warriors in the preliminary selection for this year’s Great Heroes Gathering. If they performed outstandingly at the conference, they might be noticed by higher academies and directly enrolled without needing to take exams. Getting injured fighting Qian Jin and affecting their performance would be too costly.
