The Evil King, clearly, belonged to the latter category—either perish in silence or erupt from it. Under Lin Luo’s aggressive tone, she was rendered utterly voiceless; no matter how she responded, she was defeated in sheer presence, and that final question seemed to strike her rawest nerve…
Since answering wrongly was wrong, and not answering was also wrong, there was only one recourse left for her: action!
Standing upon the earth, the girl stretched her arms wide. With a roar filled with fury and resolve, countless wraiths mustered behind her, a black, suffocating mass like dark clouds blotting out the sky.
The undead were arrayed in two tiers. The lower tier, far larger and more chaotic, contained not only humans but also beasts, even elves, dwarves, orcs, and dragons—every creature imaginable could be found there, though each had been reduced to a spirit of the dead.
Tens of millions of souls writhed and wailed, seemingly straining to claw their way out, yet an invisible force held them bound. Not only could they not escape, but every struggle only tightened their bonds, releasing waves of terrifying resentment. This materialized resentment formed a tangible force; even solid rock and mountain ranges rapidly crumbled to dust under the pressure of their cries.
The upper tier of wraiths, though fewer in number, boasted less racial variety. Yet, upon closer inspection, one realized that every single soul in this layer was a figure of immense stature… Angels bearing ten wings, colossal fire giants wreathed in scorching flames, immortals radiating celestial grace while stepping on flying swords, demons with horns, wings, and long tails—Good heavens! In this echelon of over a million wraiths, every single one was a figure of divine or demonic caliber; even the weakest among them was an Angel or a Sword Immortal!
Lin Luo possessed vision of such acuity that he recognized, with a single glance, that nearly every wraith in this upper layer was the lingering form of a powerhouse who had reached at least the Intermediate Earth Tier before death. Putting aside the others, even the Ten-Winged Angels here were likely no weaker than Icarus’s Holy Light Maiden, and the divine and demonic figures were even more formidable, each a late-stage Earth Tier expert or stronger.
Though they had become mere wraiths, their consciousness and sanity utterly erased, the aura of their former might remained utterly unchanged. Anyone could perceive the dominance they commanded in life.
And now, all these powerhouses had become puppets of the Evil King!
Witnessing this, Lin Luo could not afford to be careless; he knew the Evil King had deployed her ultimate trump card.
The girl took a step forward, weathering the endless tide of the dead, her icy gaze fixed on Lin Luo’s face. “I have extinguished countless lives, slain gods and exterminated demons, ascending to the pinnacle of the world. With the power of Chaos, I condense the souls of the dead, forging them into my inherent strength. This power is sufficient to disrupt the very laws governing life and death. Though they are now spirits, they possess combat power greater than in life. Through my Chaos power, be it divine might, demonic energy, spiritual Qi, or the vital force of nature—everything can be transmuted into the purest force…”
Like an ant bearing a mountain, the girl effortlessly advanced, shouldering the untold legion of the undead behind her. Her cold, merciless voice seemed to echo up from the depths of hell: “I have long since forsaken everything—dignity, flesh, even my original name. Only this Path of Evil… Witness it well, and then… feel its cruelty!”
Boom!
The girl acted like a pitcher, violently flinging the army of wraiths in her grasp outward. The shrieks and howls of the damned filled the heavens.
Lin Luo, looking upon the surging legion of the dead, felt an inexplicable sense that there was no escape. Acting purely on instinct, he unleashed his Creation Rule, manifesting a curtain of light like a waterfall before him. The wraith army slammed into it, generating violent shockwaves, but the barrier held.
“Roar! Roar! Roar…”
However, this resistance lasted less than a second. The millions of souls suddenly let out a more terrifying roar. Then, opening their cavernous maws, they began to bite at the light barrier. These wraiths were actually eating Creation!
“!!” Lin Luo’s expression instantly darkened. He had never witnessed such a thing. While he had encountered many capable of breaking his Creation—and even now, he didn’t claim his Creation was an absolutely invincible defense—consuming it was entirely new to him!
Though shocked, Lin Luo remained calm. He retreated with lightning speed. In moments, the entire curtain of light was devoured by the wraith army, and the power they radiated became even more terrifying.
So that’s how it is!
At this point, Lin Luo finally understood. Although the intensity of Creation surpassed Destruction—it is simple to kill a person, but giving birth takes at least ten months—his current Creation had not yet reached the level of true creation of all things. In terms of the evolution of power: the second evolution of a point and line is Creation; the third evolution of a point and line is Destruction. Therefore, when Destruction evolves once more, his Creation will attain its perfect state.
Birth after death, rebuilding after ruin—Creation forged through Destruction is true Creation!
Thus, in terms of raw intensity, his current Creation was slightly inferior to Destruction. Coupled with the Evil King’s Chaos Power, which was no weaker than Lin Luo’s Destruction, plus her current temporary surge, it was hardly surprising that Creation was suppressed or even consumed, especially since she herself claimed that any power would be converted into the purest form via her Chaos Power.
Understanding this, Lin Luo ceased to conceal his strength. Spots of black flame ignited on his body, beginning to burn him away from his feet upward. In mere seconds, his physical body was incinerated, leaving behind only a humanoid silhouette composed entirely of black flame, vaguely bearing his features.
This figure was, of course, Lin Luo. He had previously shed his physical body, retaining only a spiritual phantom; now, he could certainly do so again, and utilizing the form of Destruction to achieve this state would be even more perfect.
He transformed his essence into Destruction, leaving only a spiritual seed hidden within the black flames. To prevent this seed from being harmed by Destruction itself, the Creation Rule condensed and did not dissipate, enveloping the seed layer upon layer. Although he could manipulate Destruction freely, fighting an opponent of equal standing risked losing control of his power, which could injure the spiritual seed and result in severe backlash. With Creation’s protection, he was inherently positioned to be invincible.
“Roar!!!”
Millions of living beings and a million gods and demons converged at the same instant, overwhelming the sky like an unparalleled tsunami. In a flash, the world lost its color.
But Lin Luo’s form changed at this moment. He transformed into a bird. His black, fiery wings flapped once, his speed surpassing lightning, allowing him to dodge the legion of undead’s attack in an instant and shoot toward the heavens.
Subsequently, the already dim sky was suddenly overshadowed by an even larger darkness. The source of the shadow was a colossal black fire phoenix whose wingspan exceeded hundreds of kilometers—it was Lin Luo!
When possessing a physical body, Lin Luo could not alter his form—unless he used illusionary techniques akin to shape-shifting, which would not increase combat power but rather decrease it due to unfamiliarity with the changed body.
But by discarding his flesh and existing purely as Destruction’s black flame, he could manifest infinite transformations. If the Pinnacle Throne was the ultimate defense, then in this state, he possessed the most terrifying offense.
Lin Luo named this move: One Destruction Finale!
“I accept this battle. If you die, do not blame me for showing no mercy!”
Lin Luo’s low voice echoed in the sky. With a sweep of his two wings, each over a hundred kilometers long, the entire sky seemed to instantly burn clean, and the black fire phoenix plunged downward.
“Ahhh! Kill all billions of living beings, slay gods and exterminate demons to the pinnacle of the world!!!”
The Evil King was in no way yielding. Following her roar, all the wraiths screamed in unison, unleashing world-shattering demonic energy. With countless lives as soldiers and millions of gods and demons as generals, the girl manipulated the torrent of undead with both hands, charging toward the fire phoenix with boundless majesty!
Boom!!!
The initial collision erupted with a terrifying sound. The resulting wave of power ripped the ground away, layer after layer, like peeling an orange rind—each layer shattered as it was exposed. In an instant, the entire planet shrank by a significant circumference.
But this was merely the aftershock of the two powers colliding. The true terror lay at the epicenter. The confrontation between Chaos and Destruction shattered the sky instantaneously, forming a massive black hole. Before the black hole could unleash its power, it was either incinerated by Destruction or churned into chaos by Chaos.
Spatial storms, temporal turbulence, and even dimensional rifts appeared and vanished—even the planar passages that only Heavenly Tier experts could open were momentarily triggered by these two forces.
Yet, these forces, capable of shredding gods and demons, posed no threat to the two figures in this state. Destruction and Chaos were pushed to their limits; their eyes saw only the enemy opposite them.
“Chaos Power, Invert the Laws! I shall dye the azure sky with my blood!”
Boom! As the Evil King exerted more force, her body instantly shattered. Crimson blood flooded the sky, and the wraiths, drinking this blood, became even more frenzied, their combat power climbing once more to its peak.
Lin Luo saw clearly that the Evil King, originally possessing a physical body, had now reversed her own life laws, transforming into another member of the undead legion. This allowed her to manipulate the wraiths with greater freedom, mirroring his own technique, the Destruction Finale.
The Evil King, an expert of the same rank, was in no way inferior to him!
Suddenly, Lin Luo felt himself burning—his heart was burning!
A true peer is difficult to find; a worthy opponent is equally rare. He must fight! Fight with everything!
“Ruin heaven, ruin earth, ruin self! Where I pass, all things become the Finale!”
The black fire phoenix’s form expanded once more, stretching for thousands of kilometers. With a cry that echoed through the void of the universe, it once again slammed into the wraith army.
Boom!!!
Centered on the point of their collision, everything within the boundless surrounding star fields vanished into nothingness!
