The Fatty’s heart jumped, and he grabbed Ge Rong, pulling back her sleeve to look. Sure enough, there was an identical birthmark on her arm.

The Fatty’s face instantly darkened, and he demanded in a harsh, stern voice, “Who exactly are you people?” The Ge Mei sisters were so frightened they couldn't speak, just staring blankly at the Fatty. The Fatty cursed furiously, “Stop playing dumb here, speak up!

Who the hell are you?” He snatched the gun from Dongzi’s hand and pointed it at the Ge Mei sisters. Who would have known that the moment the Fatty had just taken the gun from Dongzi, Ge Mei, with lightning speed that defied belief, snatched the gun right out of the Fatty’s grasp and aimed it back at him.

This single movement stunned everyone present. Such rapid action could only be achieved through professional training; even Ma Xiong wasn't sure he could execute it more seamlessly and swiftly than Ge Mei.

The Fatty stared blankly at his empty hands, then at Ge Mei and the gun in her grip, saying gently, “Come on, little sister Ge Mei, be good, give the gun back to big brother. It might accidentally discharge.

Girls shouldn't handle such dangerous things. Give it here.” Ge Mei chuckled darkly, “Damn it, Fatty, don't get so arrogant just because you've robbed a few tombs.

If it weren't for orders from above, I wouldn't even bother being here.” The Fatty maintained his grim, fleshy smile, saying, “Come, come, little sister, be good, give the gun to big brother. You’ve taken this joke too far.” As he spoke, he reached out to forcefully take it.

Ma Xiong quickly grabbed the Fatty’s arm and said, “Miss, we haven't hurt you or done anything to wrong you on this journey. Why must you be so serious?

If you feel the few of us are a burden, you don't need to kill us—we can just part ways.” At this, Ge Rong tugged at Ge Mei’s sleeve; even Ge Rong seemed a little scared. The Fatty stared dumbfounded at these two girls, who had seemed so delicate moments before, now appearing as figures even Ma Xiong feared.

He was momentarily slow to react. Ge Mei looked at Ma Xiong’s sincere gaze, tossed the gun to Dongzi, and said, “Forget it, my bad.

Let's go.” She pulled Ge Rong and walked toward the exit. The Fatty stood stunned, watching the two girls disappear around the corner.

His heart felt heavy; he had been toyed with for so long without realizing it. He felt a strange sense of loss, like a breakup.

Ma Xiong clapped the Fatty on the shoulder and said, “This is for the best, at least we won't be distracted by two women following us.” The Fatty looked toward where they vanished, shaking his head. He hadn't expected experts to be hiding among them.

Thinking of how he had been trying to show off earlier, his face flushed with embarrassment. He called out to Ma Xiong, “Ma Xiong, what do you think their background is?

Why do they have that mark on their arms? I’m just puzzled.” Ma Xiong replied, “I don’t know their background, but judging by their skills, they must belong to a rather stringent organization.

As for the mark on their arms, I’m not sure. Maybe they work for the Queen or perhaps they’re some sort of demons.” Of course, the latter half was Ma Xiong joking.

He looked at the Fatty and said, “Let’s just forget about them; they’ve gone back anyway.” The Fatty muttered to himself, “I just worry if they can get back. This tomb wall sealed shut; who knows when it will open again.

It’ll probably take until that monster has finished digesting a few more people.” Ma Xiong grumbled ahead, “Fatty, stop worrying so much. They don’t need your protection; you better worry about protecting yourself first.

Let’s hurry and find that place. Once you tell us that secret, we need to leave quickly.

It’s best to avoid trouble.” The Fatty shook his head in disbelief, then turned and caught up with Ma Xiong. For him, those two young women were too incredible.

They were clearly delicate little girls, yet they could turn so ferocious in an instant. It looked like his marriage plans would have to be postponed another few years.

Up ahead was a junction. Ma Xiong called the Fatty over, “Fatty, there’s a fork up ahead, which way should we go?” The Fatty walked up and took a look.

For a moment, he couldn't distinguish anything in the pitch-black tunnel. Just as the Fatty was confused, a loud burst of laughter suddenly came from behind them—the Company Commander’s laugh.

The Fatty’s heart tightened: “Damn it, how did the Commander escape from inside?” He immediately slung his machine gun onto his waist and pointed toward the corner ahead. His actions just now must have killed quite a few of the Commander’s men.

The Commander must hate him now. If they met now, it would be a close-quarters fight, an earth-shattering clash.

However, the Fatty wasn’t too worried. After the recent catastrophe, the Commander’s group probably didn't have many left, possibly just the Commander himself.

If the Commander was willing to surrender, the Fatty wouldn't argue. But mixed in with the Commander's laughter was Ge Mei’s groan.

It seemed the Ge Mei sisters had been careless this time, allowing the Commander to exploit an opening. They were waiting right on the edge for the Commander to appear.

But after waiting a long time, the Commander’s shadow didn't appear on the tomb wall, yet the Commander’s voice and Ge Mei’s voice echoed in the cavern. The Fatty, Lu Zong, and Ma Xiong exchanged confused glances, wondering what trick the Commander was playing.

They could hear the voice, but why couldn't they see the physical body? The Fatty adjusted the machine gun at his waist and slowly moved forward.

Ma Xiong grabbed the Fatty’s arm and asked, “Fatty? What are you doing?” The Fatty said, “After all, I’m the one who brought them in; I have a responsibility to get them out.” With that, he tiptoed forward.

Lu Zong also wanted to sneak up, but Ma Xiong held him back, hushing him and signaling him to stay quiet. “If we go out now, we’ll alert the enemy.” Quietly, the Fatty crept closer to the bend.

His heart was filled with dread. Who knew what was waiting for him at the opening?

The Commander himself or the Commander’s ghost? Since even the Ge Mei sisters couldn't handle him, and he himself could only hear the voice without seeing the body, he had already lost in his mind.

Finally, he slowly approached the corner. He pressed his ear against the wall and could hear a strong heartbeat.

He listened intently for a long time; it was increasingly strange. The heartbeat sounded very strong, but the frequency was low, and most importantly, the rhythm was completely irregular—sometimes fast, sometimes slow.

He thought this person must be very fat. Realizing this, he sorrowfully understood: that heartbeat he was hearing was his own.

He suddenly found it amusing and nearly laughed out loud. But just then, a person suddenly leaped out from across from him, holding Ge Mei captive with his left hand and firing his gun at the Fatty with his right.

The Fatty reacted quickly, raising his own gun to aim at the Commander. But unexpectedly, the Commander was so vile as to use Ge Mei’s body as a shield.

The Fatty immediately realized he couldn't shoot; doing so would surely injure Ge Mei. He quickly covered the wall and dropped to the ground.

The Commander’s bullets lowered along with the Fatty’s fall. The Commander then roared with laughter, “Damn it, Fatty, you actually dared to scheme against me!

Watch me butcher you today!” The Fatty, afraid of shooting Ge Mei, hadn't dared to open fire, which was exactly what the Commander had trapped him into. Bullets then rained down on the Fatty.

The Fatty dodged and weaved, but finally, one bullet grazed past his ear. Ge Mei saw the blood gushing from the Fatty’s shoulder and knew he had been injured because he was afraid of hurting her.

She immediately asked with concern, “Fatty, are you alright?” The Fatty took a deep breath. That wound wasn't shallow.

He looked at Ge Mei, frowned, and said, “I am Professor Fatty. Since when did I give you permission to call me Fatty?” Ge Mei smiled sweetly and said, “Yes, Professor Fatty.” The Fatty looked at Ge Mei again, gazing at her sweet smile.

He simply couldn't compare this face to the Ge Mei from moments ago. She truly was a delicate little girl, how could she have become so fierce so suddenly?

He looked at the Commander, whose gun was now out of ammunition. He held a dagger against Ge Mei’s delicate neck, laughing maniacally, “If I can’t kill Fatty today, then this chick will die with me!” With that, he prepared to strike.

The Fatty cried out nervously, “Stop!” The Commander laughed heartily, seeing the eagerness in the Fatty’s eyes, and sneered, “Oh, I didn't expect our Professor Fatty to have a day like this. What, you don’t want me to kill Ge Mei?

Then pick up that gun at your feet and kill yourself, quickly! I need to avenge my fallen brothers.” The Fatty looked at the Commander, realizing he had lost his sanity.

If he didn't keep the Commander clear-headed, the man might actually do something foolish. The Fatty looked at the gun lying next to him and said, “Commander, if you want to kill me, that’s fine, but you can’t expect me to kill myself.

You have to do the deed yourself.” He finished speaking and, without hesitation, kicked the gun toward the Commander’s feet. The Commander looked at the gun and hesitated slightly.

Was the Fatty really that noble? The Fatty said, “As long as you let Ge Mei go, my life is yours to command.

Ge Mei is an innocent child; moreover, this is between us. I don't want to involve a girl.” The Commander roared with maniacal laughter again.

He quickly bent down, snatched up the gun, and pressed it against Ge Mei’s slender waist. “I want you two to die together!” The Fatty let out a sigh of relief, stood up, and said, “Ge Mei, hurry over here, that guy has gone completely mad.” The Commander was utterly deranged, pulling the trigger and aiming at the Fatty.

The Fatty smiled faintly, his expression unchanged. He just looked at Ge Mei, who was watching him with worry, and said, “Ge Mei, hurry up, that guy is insane.

He’s trying to kill people with an empty gun, he’s gone crazy wanting blood.” Ge Mei looked at the gun in the Commander’s hand, then looked at the Fatty pulling a magazine from his back. A shock went through her heart.

She kicked the Commander over onto the ground and rushed to the Fatty’s side. Blushing, she said to him, “Professor Fatty, I’m sorry.”
