It was precisely for this reason that Wolong Manor so desperately craved the true abilities, the heritage, the evolution that belonged to humankind!

Not the reliance on high-tech means that defied natural convention, which was currently sustaining the operation of their civilization!

Although the manner of their birth was artificially controlled, their subsequent growth was entirely identical to that of real humans.

But from a biological perspective!

A species that does not grow through natural conception cannot continue to evolve its genes. This meant they had ceased evolving! For any species, the cessation of evolution often signaled ultimate doom! This was a terrifying reality.

Of course, none of this was within the imagination of Xing Chen! Likewise, Nile could never have conceived that the very miracle they had dedicated their lives to pursuing—a living miracle born and grown naturally—was unfolding right before their eyes!

In truth, Nile possessed no deeper knowledge regarding the origins and identity of Xing Chen! To him, Xing Chen was merely one individual from the scattered tribes dwelling on the edge of the desert! Within Wolong Manor, besides the Xiang Tian, Chen Xing, and Ying Yue tribes, there were numerous smaller clans scattered throughout the territory!

The Wolong Desert was not the entirety of the world, nor did all tribes regard Wolong Manor with deference. To the south lay the sea bordering the desert, further north existed glaciers, and to the west sprawled endless, barren swamps! In these treacherous lands far from the oases, certain minority groups had stubbornly survived!

Consequently, Nile and the others had never suspected that Xing Chen hailed from the even stranger world of Mafu. Naturally, they never asked, and Xing Chen never offered the information! In fact, upon learning that they were all beings born through controlled biological cloning, Xing Chen instinctively concealed his true origins! Xing Chen had always trusted his intuition implicitly! Moreover, he was the sort of person who consistently followed his gut feelings! He never imagined that this very peculiar intuition would once again save him from immense trouble!

“Boss, if we don’t send aid to them now,” Nia urged anxiously, “the Daluo Tribe will be finished.”

“But,” Nile sighed, “with our current capabilities, what can we possibly do? You know how powerful the Fire Dragon Legion is; one wrong move and we could lose ourselves along with them.”

“The Daluo Tribe is a vital branch of the Ying Yue,” stated the blue-haired woman named Lan Qi, her expression stern, her tone icy holding an undeniable resolve. “We have already lost too many companions. Are we going to stand by and watch them perish again? Don’t forget how much Uncle Qiao and Lili helped us.”

“Uncle Qiao is the chief of the Daluo Tribe,” Xiao Mei whispered beside Xing Chen by way of explanation. “The last time the Fire Dragon Legion almost wiped us out, they arrived just in time and saved our civilization. Uncle Qiao was gravely wounded in that battle and could never fight again.” Though Xiao Mei’s voice was small, Nile heard it, which only deepened his feeling of shame.

Xing Chen finally understood the situation: clearly, Nile was hesitant to risk his clan’s safety, yet Lan Qi, Xiao Mei, and Nia were unwilling to stand idly by!

“Brother, stop hesitating. Do you really intend to watch our brother tribe be destroyed?” Nia pressed anxiously. “Uncle Qiao and Lili are among the last remaining Alchemists in our Ying Yue Tribe. If they too fall in battle, how will we fight our enemies in the future?”

“The Fire Dragon Legion has deployed such a massive force this time; they clearly intend to eradicate the Daluo Tribe entirely,” Lan Qi snapped. “Once the Daluo Tribe is wiped out, we can forget about ever building combat armor again!”

“Fine,” Nile relented. “But you must act within your means. Remember, once Lili and Uncle Qiao are rescued, we can afford to worry about nothing else.”

As he spoke, a muffled roar echoed again from the screen, followed by an overwhelming deluge! Fire Dragon Lizards were rapidly overtaking a colossal creature resembling a giant turtle! This beast’s size was in no way inferior to the Demon Dragon Lord that Xing Chen had previously encountered! But what exactly was this? It wasn't recorded in the legends! Upon closer inspection, there appeared to be structures akin to cockpits on the turtle’s back!

“It’s bad! It’s Uncle Qiao’s Black Tortoise Beast, and the Fire Dragon Lizards have caught up!” Xiao Mei cried out in alarm. “I beg you, please hurry and save them.”

“Ah! Damn it! Is it truly too late?” Nia exclaimed in distress.

“We must go quickly. The Black Tortoise can hold out for a while longer,” Lan Qi declared. “If we deploy the Demon Dragon, we are certain to catch up.” Saying this, Lan Qi swiftly bolted out of the control room!

“Nia, follow her immediately,” Nile quickly instructed.

“Brother Xing Chen,” Xiao Mei pleaded, “we implore you to help us too.”

Nile harbored the same thought. After all, Xing Chen was a Super Warrior capable of fighting the Golden Warriors; his assistance would greatly increase the chances of a successful rescue. However, Xing Chen had only just awakened and was not in fighting shape, nor was he a member of Nile’s tribe, making it difficult for Nile to issue direct orders. But now that Xiao Mei had brought it up, it perfectly aligned with Nile’s wishes.

“Very well, consider this our first collaboration,” Xing Chen agreed. “Besides, you saved my life; consider this me repaying the favor this time.” Xing Chen then added, “By the way, where are my Feng Tian Demon Armor and my sword?”

“Follow me,” Nia hurried away, and Xing Chen swiftly trailed behind him!

“Initiate the Demon Dragon Deployment command,” Nile issued the order!

“Yes,” Xiao Mei quickly moved to the computer console and pressed a large red button!

Down the narrow corridor!

Xing Chen followed Nile toward the end of the passage! Throughout the journey, urgent alarms blared incessantly!

“Emergency situation: Headquarters will deploy the Demon Dragon to the Daluo Wind Veil Oasis to conduct a rescue. All departments, evacuate immediately! Repeat: all personnel, evacuate immediately!”

What exactly was this Demon Dragon that warranted such a massive mobilization? Xing Chen couldn't help but feel intensely curious! Could it be the Demon Dragon Lord itself? Amidst the alarms, Nia and Xing Chen had reached the room! This was the location where Xing Chen’s Feng Tian Demon Armor and sword were stored! After a flurry of hasty movements, Xing Chen finally donned the Feng Tian Demon Armor. Then, seizing the Dragon Shadow blade, he rushed breathlessly toward the end of the corridor!

“Hoo!” A high-pitched, clear, deep roar echoed from afar! And this sound—Xing Chen could hardly believe it—was identical to the roar he had always imagined the Demon Dragon Lord would make! Immediately following, a powerful wave of energy accompanied by a chilling, murderous aura swept toward them with terrifying speed! Could it truly be the Demon Dragon Lord?

“The Demon Dragon has been awakened,” Nia grumbled, somewhat frustrated. “That girl is truly impatient; we must hurry.”

Soon, the two burst through to the end of the passage, facing a vast hall, large enough to hold a football field. In the center of the hall stood an enormous ring, somewhat resembling the teleportation arrays of the Mafu world, though Xing Chen sensed no familiar spatial magic fluctuations! Instead, the entire formation pulsed with a suffocating, scorching Fire Element magic! And within the formation rested a monstrous creature of immense size!

Ah! It really was the Demon Dragon Lord! Even with mental preparation, Xing Chen jumped, startled by the colossal entity before him! However, upon closer inspection, this Demon Dragon was entirely different from the Demon Dragon Lord and the Dark Demon Dragon Lord he had encountered before! Its entire body was a fiery red! What shocked Xing Chen even more was that this Demon Dragon’s aura was exponentially stronger than that of the Dark Demon Dragon Lord! Even without activating Lan Ye’s bio-radar, Xing Chen was certain its Life Force reading was well over one hundred thousand!

This behemoth was currently resting quietly on the ground, though it seemed restless. On its back was a transparent dome, resembling a cockpit, just like that of a fighter jet!

“Hurry up and get on,” as Xing Chen stared dumbfounded at the colossal creature before him, Nia had already leaped onto the Demon Dragon’s back! This thing was actually meant to be ridden! Even with his normally resilient nerves, Xing Chen was completely bewildered by this unbelievable sight! But this was no time for gaping! Xing Chen quickly scrambled aboard too!

The cockpit was spacious, easily able to accommodate over twenty people! But right now, there were only three: Xing Chen, Nia, and Lan Qi!

“Ready!” Lan Qi roared immediately. “Launch!”

Xing Chen felt a bright light above him—the ceiling had opened at some point, revealing the clear, bright blue sky!

Roar! A deep beastial roar echoed across the heavens! The Demon Dragon’s massive body reared up! Xing Chen felt a violent jolt, but thankfully, there was a handrail beside him, and Nia had fastened his safety harness! This prevented him from making a complete fool of himself!

However, Xing Chen was utterly stunned by the spectacular scene! This creature, called the Demon Dragon, possessed an aura far more potent than when the Thunderhawk took off! Its pair of fiery-red wings flapped once, unleashing two searing, dazzling streams of flame! Then, the colossal body shot skyward like a cannonball fired from its muzzle! Even muffled by the cockpit, Xing Chen could feel the immense force! His entire body felt several times heavier in an instant! The clouds in the sky rapidly grew larger before his eyes! In just a moment, the massive creature soared above the cloud layer!

My heavens! What speed was that! It was far more incredible than a supersonic jet! While Xing Chen could achieve such speeds, he knew he absolutely could not sustain such extreme velocity for more than ten minutes!

“The Demon Dragon has left the protective airspace!” Xiao Mei watched the receding figures on the computer screen, her face blank. Then she clasped her hands together, praying with fervent devotion: Please, come back safely!

“Don’t worry, they will return,” Nile assured her. “Lan Qi and Nia are the strongest warriors in the tribe, and besides, this time we have gained a great helper.”

About half an hour later, the rapidly passing terrain finally revealed plumes of dust rising toward the sky! And within the dense cloud of dust, there was a sprawling patch of tiny red dots! Although Xing Chen was thousands of meters high in the sky, he could clearly sense that a fierce battle was raging on the ground!

Finally caught up!
