Featured on the front page! Seeing the editor’s note last week was quite a surprise, and frankly, exciting. I had honestly braced myself for next month, or perhaps the month after.

This front-page cover feature is arguably the highest form of recommendation available on Qidian. For Yao Wang (Medicine King) to reach this milestone, the primary gratitude must go to all my brothers and sisters for their support. Every single subscription, every monthly ticket, every click, every recommendation, every bookmark—each action was the greatest encouragement for Yao Wang. Without everyone’s backing, there would be no Yao Wang as it stands now, and certainly no opportunity for this front-page feature. ^0^

Next, my thanks must go to Qidian and all the editors, especially my assigned editor, Huang Hun (Dusk). When Yao Wang was first released, it was right around the Lunar New Year. Being unable to get online during that time, it was Huang Hun who kindly managed the updates for me; otherwise, the book might have faced an immediate hiatus right after launch, which would have been truly tragic!

Yao Wang began releasing its first chapter in late November last year and has now passed three and a half months. During this time, it faced the threat of discontinuation multiple times, but it persevered. In fact, the very existence of this book was touch-and-go; it was effectively scrapped and rewritten three full times, nearly resulting in this story never seeing the light of day.

When I first started writing, my mindset was quite relaxed, with no great expectations. My initial plan was just to write when I had the time and interest, finishing whatever I managed to complete. However, I never anticipated getting a contract, and certainly not when the collection numbers started climbing. Naturally, I couldn't maintain that casual attitude anymore.

Now, in addition to my personal interest, there is a sense of responsibility.

Yao Wang will continue updating as consistently as ever until the very end. I sincerely ask all my friends to keep lending your support. If you are able to support the official release, please consider subscribing, especially to that first VIP chapter. If that’s not convenient, simply clicking over to Qidian and casting one or two recommendation tickets is also a powerful sign of support for Yao Wang. O(∩_∩)O~
