Though he had been refined by various forces, his current physique surpassed even that of a Vampire. Not only did he possess incredibly strong resistance to harm, but he also had a degree of self-regeneration and repair. Yet, for his current injuries, this constitution might not be much help, as the issue wasn't merely physical; the excessive use of Spiral Power had wounded his very Source and soul.

Lin Luo wasn't concerned about why the Grimoire was sealed for the moment. He knew he wouldn't figure it out anytime soon. Instead of stubbornly hitting a dead end, it was better to think about other things; the most crucial matter now was his body.

With his current strength, dealing with the S-Rank Magicians of this world was absolutely no problem. Take Fate, for instance; if his body recovered, he could undoubtedly slay her instantly with his Life Dual Blades. As for Pricessia, although she was a BOSS, her strength might not be significantly greater than Fate's.

Of course, all of this hinged on his body recovering first.

Lin Luo felt a pang of regret. Back in the world of the Magic Teacher or Gensokyo, there had been so many mages; why hadn't he bothered to learn healing magic? Then he wouldn't be in such an awkward situation now. It was all his fault for relying too heavily on the Grimoire.

Even though he was a "monster" and his magic power was still abundant, with the nourishment of magic power plus his inherent constitution, recovery wasn't impossible. However... it would be like plucking out every single hair from a lion; how many years would that take? But if someone could assist with mana replenishment, perhaps it would speed things up considerably. "Forget it, I shouldn't even think about mana replenishment," Lin Luo shook his head and sighed. Then, forcefully suppressing the pain, he got out of bed and walked toward the bookcase across the room... Even though it was only a few meters, it was an arduous journey for him now. By the time he reached the bookcase, he was drenched in cold sweat.

Fate's room held many books, including some on magic theory. These were not treasures, merely pure theoretical knowledge.

Flipping through them casually, he selected seven or eight magic books and carried them all back to the bed to examine closely. After all, this world did possess auxiliary healing magic—even if he wasn't sure if it suited him, looking it over couldn't hurt.

About half an hour later, Lin Luo suddenly noticed something odd—not about himself, but about Fate.

This plane contained many worlds—some as small as ordinary daily life settings, others as vast as magical or high-tech worlds capable of dimensional destruction. Each world possessed a distinct power system. The books he was reading were magic theory texts from Fate's own world, and according to the data within, the development among Magicians was drastically unbalanced, just as he had expected.

Although most Magicians could achieve the physical conditioning of elite special forces after some training, and some even surpassed that level, it appeared insignificant compared to their magic. Furthermore, Magicians were excessively reliant on external tools—namely, magic tools (Mados).

The majority of Magicians could not function without their Mados; once separated from them, their magic power became useless. Only a small number of powerful Magicians could unleash high-intensity magic without relying on external devices, and Fate, at her current level, could not operate without hers.

In other words, while Fate was strong, she hadn't yet reached the pinnacle of true Magicianship.

According to the grading system of the Heart Canon, anything below the Earth Rank was quantitative change, and anything above was qualitative change. Upon reaching the Spirit Rank, there would still be a measure of quantitative progression leading to a qualitative shift, but the Earth Rank marked a complete qualitative transformation. Using his memories, Lin Luo simulated Fate's combat data in his mind and concluded: very strong. If judged purely by her full-power offensive capabilities, she indeed reached the peak level of the Spirit Rank. However, her other aspects were clearly lacking, wholly insufficient to warrant that peak Spirit Rank evaluation. It would be understandable if Fate reached Spirit Rank Peak ten years later, but now, it seemed excessively high—even for the lowest tier of Spirit Rank Peak. After all, strip away the Mados, and she was merely a girl with slightly excessive magic reserves, and pure magic power alone was not enough to sustain her in combat.

Averaging it out, Fate’s current strength was at best late-stage Spirit Rank. So, why would the Grimoire give her the evaluation of Spirit Rank Peak?

"Could the judgment be flawed?" Lin Luo murmured, but immediately dismissed the thought. If the Grimoire’s judgments could err, he wouldn't have lasted this long. Of course, the Grimoire was currently in an abnormal state, so perhaps some details weren't fully listed.

Lin Luo was somewhat unable to comprehend the situation. After a moment of thought, he materialized the Grimoire. Although it was sealed, this specific ability hadn't vanished.

Opening the Grimoire, he meticulously examined the data entry for Fate, row by row, finding nothing suspicious. That made sense; he viewed the Grimoire directly through consciousness in his mind, making it impossible to miss anything.

"What on earth is going on?" Lin Luo couldn't help but frown. For some reason, he sensed a connection between this puzzle and the sealing of his own Grimoire... things his own consciousness and eyes had failed to perceive.

"Never mind, I'll deal with it later." After racking his brain fruitlessly for an answer, Lin Luo shelved the question. He immediately began searching for healing magic. After all, the stronger Fate's strength, the more advantageous it was for him; there was no need to obsess over these issues right now.

After reading for a while longer, Lin Luo actually found several healing spells. However, most of them were spells he already knew—purely using magic power to nourish the body and achieve a healing effect.

"It seems restoring my body completely in a short time is truly impossible," Lin Luo sighed, returning the books to their original places. He then glanced at the wall clock and realized two hours had passed.

During this time, he had already begun regulating his body with magic power. Given his massive magic capacity and the countless magic stones stored in his inventory, two hours hadn't even repaired one percent of his physical form, but fundamentally, aside from walking still being somewhat difficult, the pain was mostly gone.

"Hmm, maybe in about a week, my physical body should be mostly recovered," Lin Luo stretched his arm slightly, feeling quite relieved. In his spare time before, he often manually created magic gems. Though they were rarely needed, they were playing a vital role now. With these magic gems, he didn't have to worry about running out of mana at all.

"Blast, I'm getting hungry." Suddenly, Lin Luo heard a rumbling from his stomach and frowned again. Originally, the food stored in his inventory could sustain an ordinary person for decades, but thanks to Youmu’s bottomless pit, he had absolutely no food left. After all, since Gensokyo held banquets every few days, he was always responsible for the food and drinks.

Lin Luo hadn't expected to be ambushed by the Evil King midway through his journey, so he had generously cleared out everything in his storage space. Hard lessons taught him that one must always prepare a fallback plan.

Just as Lin Luo was lamenting whether he should risk being spotted by Pricessia to find food, the door creaked open. Fate, still dressed in her black combat uniform, walked in, accompanied by a pink-haired woman. This woman had a great figure, wore very revealing clothing, sported a pair of fluffy ears perched on her head, and had a tail wagging behind her. This was Fate's familiar, Elph.

Lin Luo's eyes immediately lit up—not because of Fate, and not because of Elph, but because of the tray in Elph’s hands, bearing a single serving of food, the very thing he needed most right now.

"Dinner," Fate stated flatly, then moved to the side to sit down.

Elph carried the tray to Lin Luo and heavily set the food down on the table, letting out a sharp huff toward Lin Luo, her gaze intensely sharp.

"..." Lin Luo was speechless. It seemed this creature was quite displeased with him. When had he ever offended her? Was it because he was staying in Fate’s room?

"Elph," Fate spoke, her tone carrying a hint of rebuke.

"Ugh, fine," Elph immediately deflated and sat next to Fate, but her gaze remained fixed on Lin Luo, putting immense pressure on him. He wasn't the type who got excited just from being stared at.

Finally finishing the food under Elph’s piercing stare, Lin Luo looked up to find her still glaring. He couldn't help but manage a wry smile, "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"None of your business," Elph replied coolly. Her coldness differed from Fate’s; Fate deliberately concealed her gentleness to maintain an aloof attitude, whereas Elph was cold because she was genuinely annoyed.

Lin Luo glanced at Fate, finding her reading a book, completely uninterested in their surroundings.

Having no choice, Lin Luo turned back to Elph and said quietly, "Is it because I asked you to make dinner for me that you look at me askance?"

"Hmph, Fate made it," Elph didn't hide the hostility in her words.

"Ah!" Lin Luo was moved to the point of tears. Even though the current Fate was still emotionally distant, she had personally cooked dinner for him. How considerate! Truly worthy of being called the Beloved Empress! Wait a minute—dinner?

"Is it evening already?" Lin Luo suddenly remembered something and asked, "Then how are we sleeping tonight?"

"..." Hearing this, not only did Elph raise an eyebrow, but even Fate lifted her head from her book.
