Shi Wucheng lived quietly in his residence. Suddenly, a flock of birds gathered on his rooftop; their feathers were black as ink, and their cries were harsh, strongly resembling crows. Upon seeing this, Shi remarked to his family, "My lady has sent bird envoys to fetch me. Prepare my affairs quickly; your master will not live many more days." Several days later, Shi Wucheng did indeed pass away. On the day of the funeral procession, the flock of crows reappeared, trailing the coffin the entire way, as if seeing Shi off to his final rest. Only after Shi was interred did the flock finally depart.
