After entering, Jaku slammed and locked the door behind them.

"This doesn't need to be locked up?" Lin Luo chuckled nervously, recalling locked-room scenarios involving couples.

"More convenient for conversation," she said with a faint smile, gesturing toward the sofa. Though disliked in the Youkai world - ghosts, spirits, and monsters all kept distance due to her telepathy ability - she was actually quite polite when it came to social etiquette.

"Alright." Lin Luo sat down. Even if this became another locked-room situation, he wouldn't be the one at disadvantage anyway. The sofa was spacious enough for an adult to lie on comfortably, with a pillow nearby suggesting it had served as Jaku's sleeping spot.

This power makes my work much easier..." She paused here with a sigh-like tone. "But because of this, no one dares approach me. You've seen for yourself how the Beastscape Mansion houses only mute animals."

Most of these centuries-old roly-polies in Gensokyo possessed supernatural abilities. Take Yasaka Kagami for example - well, let's focus on Jaku instead. Her telepathy could not only read minds but also replicate certain level capabilities including Iblis Kazuki's Youkai Yōkai procession or even Yakumo Hakurei's barrier techniques. Of course, the higher the skill tier, the weaker her replication became.
